QOTD (Question of the Day) is this are you prepared to meet your goals for this challenge?

According to the quiz...I'm Prepared for Success...but since I started almost 6 weeks ago on this journey I knew this...I have been successful the last 6 weeks and I intend to keep moving forward!! I do have my Disney trip at the end of the month, but I'm going to work out at SSR gym in the mornings or in my room with my laptop and workout video LOL!!! I'm going to eat what I want but in my mind its a one time thing...when I get home its back to the plan and my hope is not to gain more than 5lbs on the trip and I'm going to be okay with leaving food on my plate LOL!!!!! All that to say...I'm ready!! Let's do this!!!

Prepared for Success! :thumbsup2 You bet ya, with all my DIS friends I am ready!

I set up the wii fit last night so I could use it this morning. I put new batteries into the board and messed around for a few mintes, and wouldn't you know it this morning I get up ready to get my "wii on" and the chargeable batteries in the wiimote was dead :sad1:.

But fear not, I have about 10 different programs on the DVR from FitTV. I just did a "Rockin' Body" instead. FitTV is a good source for new ideas and new workouts :yay:. Gonna do a little yoga tomorow, I think :goodvibes

I am excited for this challenge! I recently started running( May), I don't love it, but I did complete my first race on 4th of July. My ultimate running goal is to run the Disney Princess Half Marathon in 2011. I know it will be easier if I get in better shape!

Here is the answer:
You're well on your way to reaching your goals! But you could help yourself get there more easily by implementing a few changes, like enlisting a diverse support group, tracking your progress, and rewarding yourself along the way.

I don't understand it. I said I would reward myself along the way and have a support group and I am starting to track my progress. Maybe they didn't like how I pushed the buttons.

My goal for this challenge is my Disney trip in November 4 & also just to be healthy…

I would like to lose about 15 pounds by my trip! I am looking forward to getting to meet everyone!
 
Hello! Can I still join in? I've been lurking on the WISH boards for a few weeks trying to figure out where to jump in, and this challenge seems perfect!!

I'm a 41 (eek) woman living in the suburbs of Chicago with my boyfriend of 4 years (seems really weird to say boyfriend in my forties...what are you supposed to say at that point?). We work together at a trucking company--and we work a ton of hours. We love our jobs but it's pretty stressful and between the hours and the work, things have spiraled a bit out of control weight wise the last couple of years. He makes pretty healthy choices most of the time...me, not so much.

I have about 80 lbs or so to lose. I've been stuck in emotional eating traps for awhile, so my goals for this challenge are mainly food related:
1) Eat consciously
2) Log my food honestly
3) Eat for fuel 80% of the time
4) Focus on ways to find joy that AREN'T food related!!
5) Exercise consistently, at least 4 days per week

Looking forward to learning more about everyone and battling this weight as a team!

I am taking the quiz at work (shhhh don’t tell anyone) & as I am taking it someone puts a box of Tim Horton’s donuts on the frount counter… Man don't people know that i am trying to be healthy!! :goodvibes

I'm on my way, which would be my assessment of the situation even without the quiz.

I finally bought a scale yesterday, which was a big step for me. I've been avoiding that number for a VERY long time!

Overall, I have about 60lbs to lose, but my goal for this challenge is 25. That's setting the bar high, at nearly 2lbs per week, but I know I can do it if I stay focused. My biggest challenge is losing sight of my goals or why I decided to make changes in the first place, and I'm hoping the support from all the other Losers out there will help with that!

I didn't cheat either. I knew the right answer to check for the best response. That is a big step for me because I am an educated woman and I know what I am doing is not helping my body. I need to be honest with myself. So that is one of my goals. Stop lying to myself.

I'm back from the DL half marathon - it was SO much fun! Anyone who is interested in doing the Disney races, I strongly encourage you to check out the Racing Team section of WISH - I had so much fun meeting and running with other WISHers.

My kids are safely deposited back in school! And I will be getting that clippie together over the next few days - I had some computer trouble this summer and had to replace my hard drive, and my design software still needs re-installing. :rolleyes1 Sorry to keep you guys waiting on it, but I'll have it ready as soon as I can!

Sign me up as well! I had a great time in BL7 but took the summer off. I lost 17.8 pounds in BL7 and would like to continue that. I gained 2-3 pounds of it back but have done a pretty good job of keeping it off.

My goal this time is to get to 170 lbs. I'm waiting to weigh in Friday but I suspect I will need to lose about 13-14 lbs to reach that goal.

The Walt Disney World Marathon in January will be my first full marathon and need to shed all the extra weight I can!
