Ok I'm here to confess!
I've been having trouble staying on track. Not one day since we started have I had a good day. I think its because I've had so many days in the past month and a half of eating out and being on vacation. I was able to get back on track after Disney, but it's proving harder after the Vegas trip.
So today I'm recommiting. I got up and had oat bran with a banana and raw almond butter. I need to get a handle on this.
Did anyone see the report on how saturated fat triggers your brain not to know its full and this is how they believe binge eaters get in trouble. Interesting.
I know exactly what you mean. Vacations are the worst for me. We always end up eating out a lot in the week leading up to a vacation as we try to save time for packing and try not to dirty up dishes and mess up the house.
After we get back, it takes a few days to get back on track as we haven't been grocery shopping yet. It is also a lot harder to get back into our exercise routines.
Good for you for recommiting. Best of luck to you!
I didn't see the report you mentioned but I did read a good book called "The End of Overeating" by David A Kessler, MD that talks about our addiction to food because of the fat, salt and sugar intentionally added to restaurant and processed foods. It was a real eye-opener.
