Good Morning Everyone

I feel horrible, I had to cancel training this morning. :( Monday's workout just KILLED my calves, I'm barely able to stand flat on my feet even today. I thought if I went today I'd really regret it so I put it off. I'm slathered in icy hot now.

I've been doing good on the food mostly...I did have the Guiltless Black Bean Burger at Chilis and it was really good. I was impressed!
 
I was just checking in to share what I got at the store on the way home today... and I saw I'm tied for first!!! :worship: Good gracious!!!:cool1:
I worked my hiney off last week at the gym and only lost 1.1 pounds!! This gives me needed mental boost.

So, I bought an artichoke, never cooked a fresh one before.
I bought veal scallopini. Put it back when I thought of the baby lamb it used to be... then went back and got it :scared1:
Bought cheese slices made from rice.
A fresh papaya, can't wait to try that in the morning.
And for a new spice I decided on cranberry chutney. Never had chutney before and you can make a salad dressing from it...

I'll pass on a recipe once I find one. Good Luck everyone!!!!

heart4pooh... you have to add a ] at the end after you paste it. i am so computer illiterate so i hope i helped... i'm sure someone else can give you some technical terms...
 

I haven't had the chance to check in for this week yet, and here we are almost at the end. I was out of town over the weekend and it really threw off my DIS week because I usually do a lot of catching up over the weekends.

I was up .5 pounds this week, but I'm really hoping to be down on Friday for weigh in.

I have been doing really well with my exercise, but it is the food that has not been on track. I am working on getting a better plan in place.

Stall work continues - I think it is really helping to get the back & shoulders in shape (getting rid of the bra bulge)

Tried some Guava fruit, and some of DD's soy milk. it was the chocolate flavor so it wasn't too bad, just not something I think I am ready to switch to on a regualr basis. The guava was ok, lots of little hard seeds- that are edible just a little too crunchy for me.

Well, I've not been too active on here. Last week, I didn't 'look' at the challenge until it was the end of the week. I was surprised though that my Real age thing was actually a couple years younger than me, so i am doing somethign right!!!

This week, I just did the biggest loser one and only got two or three right (of course got the chocholate one right, lol).

I have been trying to eat well and I've been working out 5-6 days a week. I am trying to stay off the scale until tomorrow at the y and see if i've done anything this week (that time so know i may be up a little).

I will see what I can do with these other challenges for this week.

I hope everyone has a great day (it's sunny here, but we are due for rain later today for the entire weekend).
 
Good morning everyone. Just checking in. Doing ok this week. Doing 2.5 miles a day on the treadmill with the incline on 5 (treadmill says i'm buring about 340-360 cals a day depending on my length each day, guess that's not too bad). Sweating like a pig but enjoying that I'm still motivated to keep moving. I was a bad boy last night though. Kids wanted pizza and well, you know the rest. :sad2: I didnt do too badly, only went over my max calories for the day by 120, but blew my carb count out of the water. I have to tell you, sparkpeople has been a lifesaver. Love that site, and it's so easy to track your food each day. I've been doing good all week except for last night, so we'll see what the ol' scale has to say tomorrow. :confused3 Have a good day all. :thumbsup2
 
Hi Everyone

I fell off the wagon last night and had Taco Bell. :sad2: I know it was more of an emotional eating thing than anything else.

I don't have a good feeling about tomorrows weigh in, I could just kick myself.

Good afternoon everyone! Don't get down on yourself if you mess up one night :goodvibes There is always this evening and tomorrow!

I have been trying to do my run/walk routine on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Today and tomorrow I'm in training out of town though so I wasn't able to make it to the gym this morning. I did walk around the block a little bit here at training during lunch. It was only about ten minutes and just walking (did a Very short jogging stint) but I figure it is better than nothing.

Have a LOSING DAY!!!
 
Good afternoon.

The last two days here at school have been awful. I have a student that we are meeting with the parent about cheating and cutting. I have not a minute to myself. Then 4 of my classes are getting ready to take the Advanced Placement test in Calculus next Wed and they(and I) are nervous about that. I was doing fine this week until yesterday. I have been working out all this week so that should help but we shall see. I am not going to beat myself up about a little slip. I will get right back on track as soon as possible.

Just FYI in case anyone is looking for protein drink mixes. I bought three different flavors of the Sytrex Nectar from Vitacost.com and they are SO good! Capuccino, Caribbean Cooler and Vanilla Bean Torte..I'd suggest giving them a try if you're looking!
 
Looking forward to WI tomorrow - I'm definately on track to lose over a pound! YEAH! I'm doing well and food is under control. Keep up the good work everyone.

We are in the process of trying to get Weight Watchers come in to work every week. There are quite a few of us that would like to join. I really love the points system.

ugh! Confession time...my eating has been out of control this week! We are talking pizza, donut, cookies etc. It's a good thing I have a good handle on exercise or I could be gaining 5 pounds this week. I am hoping to maintain at this point. I REALLY need to get on the ball here. Next week I vow to check in more often...maybe that will help...off to get in a last chance workout!

My weight only went down 1lb this past week, but that's okay - I don't mind losing slow :sad2: Even though I've only lost 1lb, and my clothes don't seem to fit much different, I feel so much better :thumbsup2 Hopefully within the next couple of weeks I'll start seeing some difference in my clothes (fingers crossed).

I'm very proud of myself today - my business neighbor and great friend asked me if I wanted to join her assistant and her for lunch - they were having stuffed pizza (one of my favorites!!!). I told them no thanks, because I had already brought my lunch - I"m so proud of me!!!!:goodvibes
