Good Tusday MOrning Hope everyone is having a losing day.

Don't forget the following from Brenda (dare2dream)
Please report your weight using the number of pounds ie xxx pounds
If you would like to add your change for the week that is OK ie I lost 2 pounds. Remember weights can be reported in 1/10 of pound increments ie xxx.x pounds.

Please report by midnight Tuesday
If you are late report as soon as you remember. I know sometimes RL (real life) is more important.

Please PM or email your weekly report to Brenda (dare2dream) I am not much of a contributor on our weekly thread but I do read every post. I think Tuesdays are great when everyone checks in to report their weekly progress. It helps to keep us all accountable and it's fun to share your success. Last week I noticed several reports from people I never got a PM or email from. I went through the entire thread and checked. 8 people reported their progress here but never reported to me.

Now folks, help out a weight keeper here please!! Please report your weekly weight to Brenda by PM or email to brenda@kbelectric.biz. Remember to report by midnight Tuesday and remember to report in pounds ie xxx pounds (not just I lost x pounds). PrettyPlease!!

Have a Magical Losing Day pixiedust: pixiedust:

Good morning everyone! Just sent my weight in to Brenda. Sadly I'm up 1 pound this week. The second gain in a row. The article someone posted in last weeks thread about self-sabotage is me to a tea. My downfall is work. Too many goodies around and when I'm crunched for time I give in to them. Plus I just went out to lunch too many times last week. I have much more success when I bring my lunch and stay in.

On the good side I've been doing my workouts at least 5 days a week for 45 minutes a day and that is making me feel great.

Congrats to all those posting losses today. To my fellow gainers or those who maintained congrats to coming and reporting it. We can do this!

good chilly slushy-road dreary day in ohio morning :teeth:

i'm a bit bummed too, sunday i weighed myself b/c i felt good when i woke up and saw a lower number i hadn't seen in probably over 7 months, but today i fluctuated back up 2 lbs. darn! but that number will return.....so today i logged a maintaining week

((Mary)) but you have such a fantastic attitude and you recognized your obstacles and you will overcome! it's got to be motivating to reap the benefits of working out!

CYBER HIGH FIVE to our losers this week and cyber hugs and kicks in the rear to those of us sabotaging ourselves! we are worthy and we are deserving of the joy and pride of losing this extra weight! our families want healthy versions of us to be around for a long time!

side note -- there will not be a weekly challenge posted this week -- we are enjoying a week off ::yes:: but remember to send PRINCESS VIJA your total points earned in this past challenge by noon tomorrow.

have a great OP day!

Good Morning, everyone!

Ohmom we are having the same crappy weather here is PA too! Ugh! When will spring come?!

Well after weeks of gaining I can finally post a loss instead of a gain this week!

Good luck to everyone! For those of your that gained or maintained keep it up you can do this!

~Michele

I am up this week but happy that it is only 0.4 lbs. I have not been eating well or journalling, so I definitely expected a gain.

The one right thing I have been doing is exercising 6 mornings/ week, since this challenge started. It is definitely the longest time I have consistently exercised. I've been doing the WATP videos, for 30-45 min/day, and it is definitely making a difference for me. This weekend, since I hadn't been eating well, I did one hour each day.

I am feeling very positive about this becoming a lifestyle change for me, and no matter how slow the weight comes off, if I don't give up, I will eventually reach my goal. I have lost 5.8 pounds these past 2 months, 40.2 total since 9/05, and if I could lose 5 pounds every 2 months, I could be at my goal in a year.

Congratulations to all our losers!!:cheer2:

Hang in there those who have gained, or maintained. We can do this with patience and persistance. We deserve to do this for ourselves. We will always have ups and downs, but not giving up is going to get us all to our goals.

Have a wonderful, losing week everyone!!

I am up .4this week:( I have been having a hard time with food recently! I have been so close to the 170's for 2 weeks I need to get there!

Are you sure your not gaining muscle? That is a lot of working out. Muscle weighs a lot more than fat. Do you by chance take measurements?
I have a body analyzer at my DR's office I use every few months. It tells me how much water weight, lean muscle mass and fat. When I have a gain and I have been working out, it is usually a gain in muscle.

I am down 1.2 this week.
:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: that's great!!!!

Just like I said to Mom, very well a muscle gain.
I love the Walk away the pounds videos!!!! I am not very graceful when it comes to arobics but these are soooo easy to do. Sometimes her giggle gets on my nerves... especially if I am sweating, hot and tired and she is looking FAB with all her make up and no sweat and then dares to GIGGLE :rotfl2:

I have a friend who is doing the belly dancing videos. A bit on the naughty side but she is getting TERRIFIC ABS from this. You can see the definition and WOW!!!! Of course I would most likely fall on my face and end up in the ER for attempting them :rotfl:

I am at the same weight I decided to use on my start weight. On my first day I weighed 153 but the next day I weighed 146 :cool1:
I decided to use 146 as my start weight and that is what I was this morning.... its only been a few days so I am not worried. I did a lot of gardening yesterday! It was so warm and sunny here yesterday. I was able to cut away freeze damage on my hibiscus, tamed my jasmine and just had a wonderful time playing in the yard. Today its rainy and yucky. I was hoping to get out there and finish but..oh well!

Well I stayed the same. I guess it's better than gaining. It's my tom so maybe next week will be better.

Congrats to all you losers and the rest of us keep it up, we can only do one day at a time.

I also do better when bringing my lunch and not going out.

have a great Tuesday.

Hi everyone, I have gained another pound.:sad2: And worst of all, I have been MIA for about 2 1/2 weeks. That is going to change! I need my WISH buddies!:goodvibes

Last night I had a great Tae Kwon Do class, and I got re-energized. I feel more focussed now and am ready to recommit. It is 34 weeks until we leave for the happiest place on earth and I want to be proud of my weight loss when we go.

On the upside I still have avoided McDonalds and haven't been there since January 6th (which is 50 days!)

I'm up this week. I just don't have any motivation. I'm not eating right and I'm not exercising. I'm so ready for spring, I can hardly stand it!

I wanted to add to those who gained this week....

I have a gal friend who works out at the gym. She has a washboard stomach, can kill me on the rowing machine...wears a size 2 and competes in Ironman competitions. I would kill for her body!!!!
Do you know how much she weighs?!?! 190 pounds!!!! Yup on the typical BMI she is considered obese. She doesn't have a quarter inch of fat on her anywhere but WOW!!!! She doesn't look like one of those manly body builders either!!!!

If you are in serious training that muscle can start building on you and mess up your scale readings. Please remember that and don't get frustrated.

If you are in training, make sure to FEED THOSE MUSCLES!!!! You could be working out like mad and if you don't feed the muscles they will NEVER grow.
How do you feed muscles? PROTEIN PROTEIN PROTEIN!!! Go to a health food store and find a good protein drink and drink it after working out.
those muscle men in the gym know what they are doing when they scarf down those drinks :lmao:
Since we are trying to lose fat mass... be selective with your protein choice. Make sure there is no mass building stuff in it :rotfl:
My personal fav is matrix chocolate. I make it sooo yummy. I will take my scoop of powder and mix it with a tiny amount of cold water. When I get a paste consistancy, I then add hot water while I stir. This makes a creamy hot chocolate and is soooo GOOD. If you just dump the matrix in hot water it will get clumpy so do it slowly.
I also will make it with coffee the same way. Nothing like a chocolate latte in the morning to help those muscles grow!!! :cheer2:

ick, up again. 0.6 this week. However I did get some "good" news as it were yesterday. For the past week or so I have been feeling down, just drained and disenchanted with life. On Sunday I started having awful tooth pain (9 out of 10 sort of thing.) I had an appointment to finish a root canal that was started two weeks ago this Wednesday, but I couldn't wait, so I went in yesterday. Turns out I have a massive infection in that tooth (hence the awful pain and drained feeling recently.) I am on some major antibiotics (which have been giving me a tummy ache) and major pain meds. I am not feeling good right now by any means, but at least I know why and I can be more "chipper" about life now. Of course I was so down last week! My body was engaged in all out war with itself and was losing the battle!

So heres to a good upcoming week! :yay:

Good morning all - I am happy to report a 2.5 pound loss this week. After dilly dallying the last two weeks - eating out more than I should, etc - and only showing a 1 or 1.5 loss I got serious this week. I did eat out - chinese food......but I took my measuring cup with me and measured out my chicken fried rice and only has one egg roll (DH swore I didn't embarass him). So here's to a new week. I have now lost 21 pounds since 1/1 and I'm hoping to keep averaging 8-10 pounds/month at least a couple more months. I know that it will slow down but I want to keep the momentum as long as possible. But I will say - when I started I wanted to lose 97 pounds - which just seems so overwhelming. But now that it's 76 pounds it seems a little less overwhelming. And I am just looking at it 5 pounds at a time which is very manageable.

Congratulations to all the losers!! If you gained or maintained just keep at it....it will eventually come off. Slow and steady wins the race.

Oh and the best news of all for me - I have lowered my cholesterol about 20 points from January 1st until February 4th (when I donated blood). Although I admit I want to look FABULOUS...this journey for me is really about living a long, happy, HEALTHY life with my DD & DH and maybe another little one eventually. And to see that I have made changes that are already effecting my body chemistry and HEALTH - well that just totally rocks!!

And the yo-yo continutes. I am up 0.4 this week, for no apparent reason. Maybe I should only weight myself every other week? On the GOOD weeks! Oh well, whatever...

I have GOT to go buy a measuring tape. I KNOW I am losing lots of inches. I have been wearing knit pants with an elastic waist since November due to surgery. Now, with my shoulder they are MUCH easier to get on and off. But they are FALLING OFF me! They droop to my knees, and I'm starting to look like my mother (who dresses that way by choice:confused3 ) So I decided to try on some older pants that I haven't been able to wear lately. I am thrilled to report that I am currently wearing (quite comfortably I might add!) my size 20 Talbots jeans-style pants. WOOHOOO!!!!:woohoo:

So sspppplllllltttt!!! to Mr. Scale (of course he's a HE...:rotfl2: ):snooty: Who cares what he says? He's WRONG!!!!!

"I'm up this week. I just don't have any motivation. I'm not eating right and I'm not exercising..."

I don't know how to set off text on this thing folks - but this is a quote from another recent posting, and it is me to a "t" right now.

I don't know if I am up or not (probably am), but am back on track today so far.

My eating has been atrocious, so awful. Triggered by fatigue mostly - I had 16 court appearances last week. This week I only have six - so its less hectic.

I do have one good thing to report though - I was headed home to sleep (up half the night the previous day) and was really weak. My assistant sent me home with a piece of birthday cake.

I went through McDonald's drive thru, trying to figure out my craving. They asked for my order, I remained silent and drove off. They must have thought I was nuts.

Then, down the street, I went to Burger King. Through that drive through, ordered French toast sticks, coffee and hashbrowns. Got the coffee, could not reach the window to get my change (the clerk was horizontally challenged also). They told me I would have to "pull ahead". This upset me. Why? There was no one behind me. To me that is like saying I am not important (see how insane I get when the "lion" is raging).

Anyway, I pulled ahead all right - I drove off. I realized, "what am I doing", why am I putting all this fat and junk into my body?

I kept the coffee, lost the $4.00 but went home and ate something healthier.

Saved at least 7 - 11 points. I don't care about the money, I have wasted much more.

Eating was not perfect yesterday, but much better than Burger King, which I have heard is one of the worst for trans fats.

Missed weigh in last week because I had to work. Will miss it this week due to an appointment.

I will commit to:

a) eating healthy and counting points for rest of the week;

b) Exercising tomorrow, and Thursday morning.

c) Weigh in by Sunday morning (my leader has a meeting at 9 a.m. on Sunday morning).

Thanks for listening.

My compulsive eating is like a "lion". I hope I don't offend anyone by being Biblical, but in the Old Testament it says that Daniel was saved from the lions in the den. I think I have been too, but it is a daily commitment.

No where does it say that Daniel then picked up a stick and hit the lions on the nose to be sure he was "really delivered".

I can't do that either, I need to keep the right mindset daily and not tease the "lion".

For me that means charting food and points daily.

I want to complete my races this year.

Linda

:tinker: :donald: :dumbo: :mickeyjum

P.S. Hi Vija! Glad you got to Tae Kwon Do. What'ya doing on the scale?

Will write you later - good job on staying away from McDonalds.

I have stopped myself several times from eating chocolate bars, and have stayed away from them too.

Good morning everyone again. I did get a chance to weigh myself and surprisingly I stayed the same. Congrats to all that have lost this week. Keep up the hard work everyone else.

I have been working on 4 1/2 hours of sleep the last couple of nights and tonight is probably the same. Until B & B opens on Friday night I will not be getting much sleep. I still have a pile of alterations to make before the rehersal tonight. The director came to me and asked me if we could do something with the silverware costumes to jazz them up. :confused3 :confused3 We were going to do something to them 2 months ago but he vetoed that idea and now two nighs before the show he wants me to add something. Why didn't he say anything on Sat when he looked at all the costumes. :furious: :furious:

Hope everyone has a magical daypixiedust: pixiedust:

Hugs to everyone! Congratutions to all who found a loss on the scale today. A lot of ppl have reported gains or stay the same, but more importantly lack of motivation & life stresses. Sigh, me too. So a great big BL4 hug to you all. WE can do it! Stay in there, we are going to get healthier, we are going to treat our bodies right! Because, gosh darn-it, we are worth it.

 :grouphug: :cheer2:

Arg! Directors!! It would have been much nicer to do when you had time!! I don't think directors should be allowed to change anything after costume parade check out, lol. When our group did it, the silverware had a piece of lace cut out (sprayed the same silver color) attached just below the 'head' like an emblem on a piece of silverware, and I'm pretty sure also a boarder around the edges, hot glued. The little skirts they had also had silver lace along the hem.

Our silverware are wearing silver pants and vests and a gold long sleeve top. The vest is trimmed in gold ribbon and then on the front are gold buttons and some gold trim to make it look like pockets. On their back is a big utensil.

Our plates are chorus girls with plates on their back that can spin and then they make a quick change in to napkins to do the can can.
