I'd choose the Poly too, though, if only so I could watch Wishes from the beach.

I laughed at this sentence. With some guilt.:lmao:

I must be a very bad girl considering I've never stayed at the Poly and I've watched Wishes from the beach a few times. :rolleyes1 Not to mention relaxing in one of their hammocks reading a book for hours on end.

I'm usually a goody two shoes. I don't know what I've been telling my guilty heart. Probably that the beach is just an extension of the pool hopping privileges that my DVC membership comes with. Oh the guilt. You're killing me. :lmao: ;)

QOTD: POR is very nice and relaxing. The grounds are beautiful and the resort is very quiet and peaceful. The boat to DTD is nice too!

OK, so this is really weird. NOT that I'm complaining, I'm just saying it's REALLY weird...:confused3

I have NO cravings! Not a single one. NO interest in anything I'm not supposed to eat. Yesterday I baked DSs birthday cake, frosted it, no problem. No interest. Today after church there was cake, cookies, etc. No interest. I just looked at it and thought, "wheat, wheat, wheat and who knows what else...". And for lunch we ordered pizza (request of the birthday boy...) and had cake, and I happily enjoyed my cold salmon, rice, and v8. No thought of "oh, poor me, I can't have that..."

This has never happened to me before! I am ALWAYS feeling put upon because I can't eat this or that. But now, it's no problem. It's almost too easy!

Tonite we are going out to eat (again, request of DS) and I'm already imagining the menu and what would be my best choice. I would have picked the salmon, but since I had it for dinner last night and lunch today, I'll go with something else. Maybe something I don't eat at home alot, like pork chops or lamb. We'll have to see.

Meanwhile, ALL my plumbing seems to be working well. I've been drinking hot water and lemon each morning and that "gets it going".:laughing: I'm starting to be able to SEE the pounds go away! Today, in honor of church and going out to eat, I decided to really get dressed. I've been wearing big flannel shirts (easy to get on my poor arm), no bra, and going "commando" because it's one less layer to pull up and down each time I go potty. But today, I'm "fully attired", including a bra, and I'm even wearing a sweater instead of the flannel!! It was not hard to put on either, and I look like a girl, not a lumberjack!!:lmao:

Oh yeah, and no Percocet since Thursday night!!! Woo hoo!!!!!! I feel GOOD!!!

I feel like I should be waiting for the other shoe to drop or something, but I"m not. I feel like this is IT for me!:wizard:

Wendy - sounds like you're healing a lot quicker than you thought you would. Keep up the great work. So glad to hear that you're doing well with your food selection too and it's wonderful that you were able to pass up the pizza and the cake.

Makes total sense Wendy. They, those people:lmao: , say that most cravings are about deficiencies in our bodies. If you are on a strict diet that is composed of a lot of healthy food well you are getting most of your nutrients.

Also, I know for a fact that eating certain sugars inspires other sugars. For instance, I rarely drink pop. And I never want one. However, if I do drink one out of the blue suddenly I crave another.

I always want sweets or carbohydrates (the unhealthy ones) when I'm tired or very run down. Sometimes I recognize it and sometimes I eat what I really want.

That's terrific Wendy. Where you are at. Both with your new diet and with your healing/recovery. Very happy for you. It makes me smile that you grabbed "The Biggest Loser" clippie at such a point. Nice

Hopefully I'll be in WDW, at the VWL, from March 9-14. I've kept the reservation pending some issues here. But hopefully.

I will also be in WDW, BWV, December 28 - January 2. Please add me to the list. So sorry I missed it.

I know lucky, lucky me. I'm psyched about the second one because I nabbed a BW view studio for NY's week. I love people watching. Weird but true.

And no I"m not rich. I live in a 440 sq. feet condo. So with a one bedroom we double our space on vacation. Which continually cracks me up. :lmao: :rotfl: :lmao:

It was a so so weekend for me - I really really need to "get it going a bit better" than I have but I just can't get past the "cold" grey OH and tonight we are scheduled for 3-5" of snow and 3 more on Tuesday - hey - someone decided that overnight while I was snoozing - I wouldn't have voted for it - but then maybe those forecasters won't be right again! DH just headed out the door to run at -8 WC - brrrrr - that is why I am so glad we have a tm and Leslie Sansone makes housecalls :thumbsup2

It is freezing here in Jersey but I know not as cold as some other place. We are supposed to warm up a little today and get warmer tomorrow with some snow turning to rain.

Crazy weekend but I have kept my eating in check. Sat I saw ds2 bowl his last school game. Then went with a friend to a quilt shop because they were having a "Super Bolt Sale" Bought some nice things and can't wait to get to it.

Yesterday spent the day at ds's school to work with costumes. I feel like we got nothing done. The guy I work with was busy so I kept the mom's busy and we got some kids to try on the costumes but nothing I planned to do got done. We never got a chance to organize so I have to go back tonight to talk and organize what has to be done.

Well don't forget that about the weigh in tomorrow morning. The challlenge also finishes tomorrow night so let's get those point. The only thing I haven't worked on are the grains. I am going shopping this afternoon and will work on that. Have a great day everyone.

school just closed here for us due to windchills......my girls will be thrilled

got alot accomplished around the house yesterday which feels great.....not to mention while i'm moving and shuffling boxes in the crawlspace, i'm not snacking!

i'm tooo far behind to catch up this week.....but it looks like a big :welcome: is appropriate for newbies!
 
It is COLD even here in Maryland. This morning's walk (the dog requires it regardless of the temp or weather conditions) it was 14 out. I came inside 3 hours ago and I STILL cant seem to get warm. My skin is still splotchy and cold to the touch and I was wearing two pairs of gloves!

I do my weigh in Monday mornings and I am down 2lbs this week! :banana: I really wanted to be down 2.5 lbs to hit my first goal marker (I get a reward!) but it will have to wait till next week.
 
Good morning everyone!

Its very cold here today, about 10 degrees, and extremely windy. My oil burner is making some strange noises....I don't think it could keep up with this weather! So I turned the heat way down to give it a break and I'm freezing!

I don't want to skip my water the day before weigh in but I'm too cold to drink it! Does decaf green tea count as a subsitute? :confused3 I'll gladly drink a million cups of that today!

I feel so sorry for those of you that deal with this type of weather all the time!
 
Freezing my butt off here!! :cold: When we went out to dinner last night I think the wind chill was well below 0. This morning, the TEMPERATURE was 10, never mind the wind chill!! I usually drive my kids to school if the temp is under 20, but poor DS had to take the bus, since I can't drive yet. DD was lucky--her Dad picked her up to take her in early for mentoring.

I am SO glad I have nowhere to go, don't even have to leave the house today!!! Warmer temps tomorrow....I hope!! I'd MUCH rather be at the :beach: !!!

OK, the recipes are AWESOME! I ALWAYS come here first for ideas. The recipes include nutritional information, which is a big help. The reviews are great, and include ideas to improve the original recipe, if needed. Plus, they have special sections for special diets, including dairy free, egg free, gluten free, diabetic, low fat, etc, etc, etc. I LOVE this site!!!

Good morning all! We're pretty chilly around here as well and expecting 4-7" of snow late today and overnight. Guess I'll be shovelling snow again for exercise soon. I need it too! I've fallen totally off of the exercise wagon this week. My last time was Tuesday and I've been struggling to get that back on track. Some valid excuses, some crappy ones. But today is the day! I will bike for at least 30 minutes today and do my strength exercises as well.

Luckily, I don't think that might eating has been too far off. I've made some not great choices, but was still in my calorie range. I've got to get back to sparkpeople today and log things again! It was a crazy last few days and I didn't get things logged so I'm relying on my mental calculator. Not always a good thing.

sparkrecipes.com - Lots of variety. I love that the nutritional value is right there for you and I can make a decision one whether it works for me quickly. I also like being able to add a recipe to my meal plan easily.

allrecipes.com - My favorite for a few years now! You can find anything and multiple recipes for the same type of dish. The nutritional infor is very handy and I love the reviews listed. Gives me great ideas for changing things up a little and helps correct problems in recipes (from mistyping, etc) before I try them at home.

myrecipes.com - Includes recipes from Cookling Light magazine. Gives me some "fancier" options if I'm looking to fix a nice meal. Nutritional value given which is what I need!
