Wow buddies. Two buddies. Two winners. Congratulations again Dona.:woohoo: Way to go Debi.

Congrats to all the challenge winners. And a special :dance3: for jakenjacksmom. :yay:

Thanks for all your work Vija.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

I've had an interesting week so far. Something scared my cat this week as I was getting ready for bed. And unfortunately the shortest path to "safety" was across my face. And of course he's the cat that hates nail cutting. Of course. Pretty, pretty me. It's getting better. It looked like an absolute horror picture at first. The blood and all. Too funny. :lmao: Now that is. :rotfl:

Oooooh, Lisa, what an EVIL looking kitty!:rotfl: Seriously though, he has that "look" in his eyes!:scared1:

I woke up today feeling like cr*p.:headache::sick: Both kids are at less than 100% too. I think the ex was hoping I'd keep them home--he asked why they didn't stay with me if they were feeling under the weather. I told him *I* was feeling lousy too!! I think DD is having some "womanly issues"--has her period and feels tired and headachy. DS has a mysterious cough that only comes out at bedtime and when he's reminded of it. So I think they're both fine. I, on the other hand, feel like I've "been rode hard and put away wet", as my ex BIL used to say. Just tired, achy, a little foggy. I slept from 10pm to 9:45 am. No appetite. No energy. No gym for me again today (I missed yesterday becuase I had PATs for my upcoming surgery, followed by a Dr. appointment, followed by the daily Mom's taxi run from 3:30 to 7:15 pm. So never had a long enough period of time to go to the gym, work out, and get back before the next thing. Besides, I was feeling a bit snarky already, and by late afternoon, I was so cold I couldn't get warm, which for some reason was making me nauseous.:confused3 What's THAT about?? Same thing happened the night before and I ended up losing my dinner.

I'm REALLY having a hard time getting in all the food I'm supposed to be eating. Not to mention the 35 million supplements each day. (OK, OK, I'm exaggerating a little on the supplements--it's really only 34 million...) Add to that the lack of appetite, and you can see where this is all going! Today I had breakfast at 10:45 and I'm still working on getting in all my supplements. Will I be ready for lunch anytime soon? I will not! And even if I am, it won't be much.

I CANNOT be getting sick. I do not have TIME to be sick! I have sooooo much to do between now and surgery, and already not enough time to do it all. If I lose time because of illness, it will just be worse.

Well, as much as I'd like to go take a nap, I have work to do around here... :wave2:

This weekend is going to be tuff for me. I dont feel well. Annette has been sick and know i am definitely feeling it. All i want is comfort food so i made pancakes for breakfast/lunch. I was suppose to be at a meeting today that is 2 hours away and i just couldn't do it. I cant get warm enogh. I hate being sick so i will be spending the entire day wrapped in a blanket watching lifetime movies and working on organizing my week.

Have a great day everyone.

Amanda

Wow I hope everyone doesn't spread the bug to the rest of us. I have been having trouble keeping warm also but I feel okay, just a little tired. Get well soon everyone.

whgrn and acourtwdw2 hope you feel better. whgrn get well so you can get the surgery done. You don't want it postponed.

lisaviolet hope your face feels better that cat is one mean dude.

Congrats to all the challenge winners this week.

Pretty quiet day today. I have been sewing buttons on a costume. I went to the bank to get money for ds1 to buy books this semester. ONly $175 for his books the cheapest semester on books ever.

Have a good day everyone.

Oooooh, Lisa, what an EVIL looking kitty!:rotfl:

I know. I know. He really has that look. It's no coincidence that Neville rhymes with devil. :lmao:

Anyway, he is mischievous. But he's funny and clever and sweet too.

Sometimes he will tap your mouth or eyes when he wants you awake and he always makes sure he retracts his claws to do it. Always. So he really didn't mean to hurt me. He was just scared by the loud boom and ran over my face to get away.

You should have seen his eyes as a kitten. :scared1: Or when his brother is getting attention. He really looks possessed.

I've had dogs my entire life. Was, and probably still am, a dog person. And really didn't like cats before them. But boy are they entertaining. And you can't control cats. Which is a good life lesson in itself. Love them.

Oh. My. Gosh! That must have hurt! :scared1: I feel so bad for you. Every once in a while my crazy cat climbs me like I'm a tree, digging those dagger claws into my thighs or back.

But Ouch! I can't imagine it across the face! What scared him?

Oh, He looks devious!;) I thought that was a cute story that he taps your eyes to open! Very cute!

I hope everyone starts to feel better soon.

My weekend is going pretty good. I am proud of myself for skipping butter on my waffles and baked potato! I LOVE butter, so that is a huge accomplishment for me! I did have Cousins on the way home, but switching calories around, it was ok. AND I had a quick urge to get 2 orders of fries like I did in the past, and I said NO!!! Very proud of myself.

Hang in there everyone!

Well, so far so okay for the weekend. I was tempted to skip the exercise tonight. By the time dinner was over, cleaned up, etc it was late and I was just going to skip (though I had done 15 min of moderate walking earlier in the afternoon). Since I didn't want to report so little on the exercise challenge, I decided to just do 10 or so slow minutes. Well, by 5 minutes in, I was up to speed. Next thing I knew, 22 minutes had passed. So on to the intended 30 I went! Now to just remember that feeling next time I'm tempted to just skip it.

annette - amanda --- did i miss the Oprah report??

off to walk -- high five to the challenge winners!!

Congrats to all the challenge winners!!

I hate being sick, starting to feel better. But i think i will take another day of staying on the couch working on the computer. Everyone have a great day.

Amanda

Well, I'm happy to say that I am FINALLY feeling like myself again! Other than being bloody COLD all the time, I feel fine today.

DSis threw a monkey wrench into things as far as meals for today. The plan was that we would do our normal lunch here (me and the kids), and that DSis and her gang would come later this afternoon and we'd go out for Turkish food for dinner. No problem! But when we left church, I had a message from her that they'd decided they would rather see us for lunch, since they were jet lagged and would be falling asleep by dinner. OK, but I've already got plans to see BFF and her kids at lunchtime....

So, we ended up ALL meeting at my house and going out for pizza. I just ate 2 slices of plain pizza, and drank water. For dinner we figured on spaghetti with my homemade sauce (FULL of all sorts of veggies, as well as ground beef and sausage.) I just do 1/2 cup of spaghetti, 1/2 cup of cottage cheese, and about a cup of the sauce. Not a bad meal, and very yummy! Add a salad and I'm good to go. So i'll be a little low on protein for the day, but not too bad. Meanwihile, we all had a nice visit, the kids got to see each other, and BFF set up the kids' computers with internet access so now they are thrilled with that.

Ahhh, in for the day, nothing pressing to do. Wait...I seem to recall some homework needing to be done. (Cover your ears, it's gonna be loud!) CHOLJUKLAR!!!!!!! (that's Turkish for "children") HOMEWORK!!!!! OK, got them working now. Where was I? Oh yeah, nothing pressing to do, just time to chill out, read my book, and catch up on the Dis. Ahhh, life is good!!

I made some great choices today! We ate early at work today, so by 1:30 I was starving! I was thinking about getting some popcorn at work, but decided against it and had my orange instead. On the way home I stopped at barnes and noble and at the check out they had Godiva chocolates. Almost bought one, but put it away! :woohoo: I got home and had dinner around 7pm and I am starving still! I think because I went so long between lunch and dinner. Oh well, as Oprah's doctor told her "learn to embrace hunger":rotfl:

I hope you feel better soon! This cold is running around our BL group! I don't want it, so please don't share!;) And YES, please PM your points to me, I will do a grand total of points at the end of our BL.

Hey, that is super! Way to go on getting in the exercise!

Way to go on making some good food choices with the change in plans! Do you speak Turkish? That is way cool! I love being able to speak a different language... isn't it fun?!!!!

I've been MIA for about a week. I was working out despite my right shoe still giving me fits and then Aunt Flo hit on Wednesday night and I was out of commission Thursday and Friday. I haven't been laid up with cramps like that in quite awhile.

I'm back in the gym tomorrow, will put in a good week, and get myself moving in the right direction again. I did weigh on Tuesday and hadn't lost anything (now I know why) and by the next day was up 3 pounds despite eating well. So when Aunt Flo showed up Wednesday night I quickly figured out those three extra pounds. They are almost gone, should be gone by Tuesday.

I went and checked out a running store last night and will be heading back the end of the week to get a new pair of running shoes. They fit them at the store so I hope this means I can finally get back to really running without killing my heels with the repeated blisters.

Morning BL friends ~

Wow - so many "sickies" :wizard: :wizard: for everyone to be feeling better!

Busy weekend for me - BUT - I finally-finally-finally can say that I have some things checked off my to-do list that have been hanging over me for some time  and now can actually walk into/through my "messy" spare room. I am hoping to keep the mojo going on sorting/pitching so that the volume is reduced too :thumbsup2

I "skimped" on the exercise this weekend - did make pretty good food choices though I ate dinner way too late last night. I plan to "plan" my exercise for the week today and try to step it up a bit.

Keep up the good work and here's to a good day for everyone - I am not a great Monday person - so my goal today is to start it out positive and make this a good week :thumbsup2 I am off to treadmill and peek into my "straighten-up" room - just to remind me I did make some progress over the weekend :flower3:

Good Morning all!!
So Monday Morning and i was hoping to feel better this morning but no such luck. I got my Flu Shot... itsn't thats supposed to help during this season????
This was my first year getting it and u've already been sick twice... hmmmm... so now i'm thinking that it doesn't work so well on me ! lol
One good thing is my fever broke last night... so i'm gonna try and make it through a day of work! wish me luck.... i teach pre-k so i'm gonna need it!!
Have a great day guys!!!

Oh well, as Oprah's doctor told her "learn to embrace hunger":rotfl:

:lmao: :lmao: "Learn to embrace hunger":lmao: :lmao: Give me a breaki!:rotfl:

I speak a very little bit of Turkish--I learn more each trip. My kids HATE it when I speak Turkish to them (they understand at least as much as I know). I usually use it when they don't answer me when I call. Then I use the Turkish to call them "CHILDREN!!!! COME RIGHT NOW!!!! They ALWAYS respond to that, if for no other reason than to tell me to stop speaking Turkish!:rotfl: I wish I spoke more than I do--my sister is fluent since she's lived there for 17 years.

Good job on resisting temptation yesterday! It's so hard to do, but it feels SO good knowing you've done it successfully!!:cool1:
