Biggest Loser 4 Week 10 -- CHALLENGE POSTED pg 2 post #19

Hi Brenda,

Yappity yap aka ME :lmao: is still here. Busy fretting about what snowstorm is best to drive through.:lmao: Leaving tomorrow afternoon or middle of the night. And busy getting a lot of food together for the trip down and such. This needs to be one cheap trip. I'm so grateful for DVC. Cooking, cooking, cooking. Which is one of the reasons we dreamed of DVC. Honestly, I get tired of eating out sometimes. I know, weird. :rolleyes1 Don't get me wrong. I'm a foodie. Love eating out. But also love to be a very lazy vacationer and hang out in the room/resort.

Have a great week everyone. Buddies! Dona and Debi, I'm going to PM you.

Lisa

Thank you all so much for your kind words, thought, and especially the prayers. They are being felt and are working. :goodvibes
My MIL's dr. did the catheterization last night, they placed another stint, and are adjusting her heart meds. She should be going home this weekend. DH is staying with her a few days, so its just me and three kiddos:eek: .

Again I do really appreciate the prayers. I don't what we would do if we lost DH's mom too.

Laura

Oh wow, look at me in the top ten. Maybe if I can get this eating under control I can do that again next week. I have gone back and logged everything I ate last night. Even though it's about triple my normal calories.:scared1: That still counts for journaling for the challenge, right?;) :lmao:

Question about the challenge - Where do we post our recipes? I went to the sub forum but was not sure where to post it. Are we just supposed to post it in this thread?

Laura, I'm glad to hear that MIL is doing better and can possibly go home this weekend. Hang in there!

on the healthy eating sub-forum, just start a new thread with your recipe and i'll index them eventually

Im so excited that im in the top 10.

Brenda I've been watching how much im eating and putting my calories in sparkspeople. I'm also on a ceral and fresh fruit kick recently. I have ceral every morning for breakfast and my snack is fresh fruit. I also have been very busy out in the field so i'm getting lots of activity. Today was the first time i didnt eat breakfast in a 2 weeks and i could really tell when i ate to much dinner. It still wasnt as bad as i was 3 weeks ago before i got control of things again.

March is a bad month for me because it makes me miss my grandma alot she passed away 4 years ago the 17th. She was like my second mother we were so close i probably new her better than her own kids. Then my aunt who I spent time fishing with every summer passed last March of several strokes a side affect of having a heart catherization on the 15th she was 54. I really dont want to put my family thru that so i am trying to take care of myself now.

Well i beleive im heading for another weight loss this week because i was walking past a mirrored window today and went wow i really do look thinner.

Sorry so long but i havnt posted recently.

:grouphug: for those how need it

Amanda

some of you may know that a couple of weeks ago, DH's dad passed away at the not very old age of 64. He would have been 65 tomorrow. It has been very hard on all of us as it was completely unexpected.

Well, this afternoon my MIL had a heart attack and is in the hospital. DH is, of course, a mess, as is the rest of the family. MIL was diagnosed with congestive heart failure a couple months ago and just had several stints put in in January. So we are waiting tto hear why/how this could have happened, where to go from here, etc.
I would really appreciate any prayers we could get for MIL's recovery and her to have the strength to get through her heart problems and the loss of her husband.

Thanks for listening.

Laura

Laura, I'll be praying for your MIL, as well as for your DH. I can only imagine how they must be feeling right now.

Congrats to the top 10! Looking good up there!

Laura - Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. I hope MIL finds the strength to recover quickly. :wizard:

Yay! My MIL is being released from the hospital today. They are scheduling her in a couple weeks to put in an ICD-internal defibrillator. She is feeling better. Hopefully we are out of the woods, so to speak, for anything else major happening.
Thank you to everyone who has prayed for our family and for all the thoughts and kind words. They do mean so much.:grouphug:

I need to The last two days have been tough for me in regards to eating as well - I'm such an emotional eater. :sad2: I've decided the kiddos and I will go see my parents this weekend. While this is great, I'll have to be extra diligent on the eating. My mom is the type who just doesn't know when to stop with the food.:scared: ;)

I hope all of you have a great Friday and a terrific weekend!

Laura

Michele

Great news, Laura!!

And my manta for today...I will eat good portions, I will eat good portions, I will eat good portions. We're going out to Cici's for pizza tonight, luckily it's a pretty decent calorie per piece place, plus we're supposed to meet my sister at Chick-Fil-A for lunch. Ironically, challenge-wise, we've packed our lunch for the museum. :rotfl: ;) I have already entered everything into Sparkpeople and know exactly what I can have at the pizza place tonight. I just need to remember to stick with it! (It's an all-you-can-eat buffet.) I'll just have to remember to revisit the salad bar some more if I'm still tempted to eat.

Have a good Friday everyone!

Good Friday morning everyone.

Laura I am glad to hear that mil is coming home. I know what a stressful time that can be.

I saw the sunrise this morning but now it is cold and getting ready to rain. We finished state testing yesterday and then we had something for the freshmen this morning so this week has been shot. Only a week and a half until we get spring break.  Can't wait.

Busy weekend Ds's school play had a show last night, one tonight and two tomorrow. After the 2nd show is the cast party and Sunday we have to put the costumes away and another school in the state is coming to take the set away. Usually the set is just broken apart by the kids but this year it is being dismantled and loaded into a truckk to be brought to north jersey. I don't know what we are going to do about the costumes. SOme are just unpackable. We also have to have them so that if we have to go to an awards program that we have gone to in the past they can be unpacked and used. It is going to be a long weekend.

Don't forget that we get to set our clocks foward this weekend. Just what I need an hour less sleep.:rotfl: :rotfl:

Hope everyone has a magical losing daypixiedust: pixiedust:

I was so good at lunch today. i was out running errands and I really wanted to drive through sonic and get a good greasy hamburger. So instead i went to Olive garden and got a salad. i didn't even use their dressing. i brought it back to my desk and use that 10 calorie pump stuff.

You guys would have been proud.

Every one have a good week end and make good choices!!!!

I have to do the chocolate fountain for a bridal shower Sunday-----not good. But I will try.

Hope everyone has an active Saturday.

Yesterday we went to a chinese/ american buffet for dinner. I started with a salad, shushi and hot and sour soup. Then i had 2 crab ragoons and about 1 cup of rice and 1 cup of general tso chicken. I was really happy with my amounts and kept within my calories.

I got on the scale and im not sure if i told you yet but ive lost 2 more pounds this week. :cheer2: I noticed something this morning. I can now put my laptop in my lap and type i dont have to set it on something because it would fall off my lap. I'm Very impressed with myself as you can tell.

Well im off to shop and then we have to put together 40 spring pots for potential clients.

Amanda
