Biggest Loser 4 Week 1

Well today is my weigh in day and for the third week in a row I maintained my weight, no loss but even better no gain. I am committed to having a loss this coming week. I have gotten rid of all the holiday treats that were left over. Next week I WILL post a lose.

Question of the Day

For those who celebrate Christmas: Is all your decorations down?
Yes, they came down the weekend after Christmas. We didn't put out a lot this year. My DD had surgery and was unable to help and this is her favorite tihng to do. And before the surgery she was in too much pain. So we didn't get the decorations out until late. And then only got the tree up, no other decorations.

Hi Everybody -

Christmas decorations are down, but I'm up to my elbows in a mess

My boss is going to let everybody work from home (starting a week from Monday), so I am attempting to turn my (very) little sitting room into a home office. The room is tiny, but there is a closet in it. I spent the morning cleaning the closet out and taking down the doors.

I'm on the way to my office with a strong friend and his hand-truck. I'm bringing two small file cabinets from the office and putting them in the nook that I've created by removing the closet doors.

I got weighed in today at Weight Watchers, but I'll keep the results a secret until Week 2 officially begins. Let's just say that the following is a hint at my loss/gain for the week - :cool1:

Wish me luck with the filing cabinets - if I measured correctly, I have exactly 1 inch to play around with. ;)

Have a great day!

Answer to todays question is yes the decorations are down. We didn't decorate much this year just a small tree and a santa stich haning up. I took everything down on the 26th. I think annette was a little disappointed i took it down so early. I know the cats were:rotfl: .

Yesterday after I was so busy i didn't think about eating. I put up 2 new cupboards and an over the range microwave, including painting them. Our house is one that takes twice as long and double the money to do something. Then we went to "I am Legend" I dont do scary movies and this was so intense i was actually shaking, but i loved it!! I didn't have any snacks at the theather (yeah me). We then went to PF Changs that was my downfall. I went 300 calories over my allowed calories for the day. I should not have ordered the spicy chicken but i just love it and thought i would share it with my sister and bring half home for today. That wasnt the case i had an appitizer (steamed not fried, good), 3/4 of the Spicy Chicken, 1/4 double fried noodles and 1 cup of brown rice. When i started eating i realized how hungery i was because i hadnt eaten all day except an apple and 1 slice of cheese.

Today i'm doing better had a skinny mocha(160 calories) and a special k bar. Well i'm off to walk to my parents to have dinner and see if my brother wants to walk the park with me. Even if he doesnt i will go alone. Have a great day everyone

Good Morning Everyone,

I started WW on Friday and was doing pretty good until last night when my niece and her family came over. She is home from college and loves to play Disney Scene It with my family and since she is returning Monday morning, they came to spend the evening with us. Let me say, they didn't get here until 10:30 pm and what did they bring...fritos, chili and cheese! I had already eaten dinner. The only good thing was I really had a light one. So, if I was really a good girl, I would have skipped the "late night frito pie", but I guess I am not that good. The sad thing is, it wasn't all that good either! I had some major indigestion afterwards too! But, today is a new day.

My mom broke her hip on Christmas morning and has been in the hospital since then, so I have been spending lots of time there. It has been hard for me to find time to get on the dis, so I too am behind with the questions, so here it goes...
1. I honestly don't like any type of exercise, but I do walk at the local medical center with a friend a few times a week. Our goal is to do it more this week. She too is a WW member.

2. I have all the decorations off my tree, but the lights are still on and it is still in the living room. I actually feel better finding out we are not alone in this. I figured most everyone had them down by now. I think Jan. 6th is referred to as Three Kings Day around here. My husband likes that day a lot since he uses it as his guide to take down the outside decorations!:rotfl: I like to have them down by the 2nd.

One final thing. I am really excited to get to know my buddy Alyss better. It seems like we have alot of the same goals. It will be nice to have someone else to help hold me accountable and give me encouragement. Great idea OPs.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday. Get some exercise. I am saying that to myself really loud. LOL!

is it too late to join??? I'm looking to loose about 50 lbs by december...i would love the extra support and it looks like alot of fun!!!

:bday: :bday: CHarity Lynn

I am going to make a list of birthdays so that we can do this at the beginning of the day.

Q of the Day.......
Christmas stuff never really went up so that is the good part about taking it down:rotfl2: We were gone for 3 weekends in a row in Dec and spend a few days at Christmas enjoying Molli's decorations :yay: I do have some "winter" type decorations, but leaving those for a bit, I chose to put them up so they could stay a little while after the actual holiday. I did do well shopping yesterday at Hobby Lobby (80% off Christmas) and I, again, chose some items that are holiday "looking" but can stay out longer - it is time for a few new items and I could have bought more, but decided there will be another after holiday sale next year, so I didn't have to buy them out this year:thumbsup2

Shell0616 -
This may sound strange but I would like be IN the pictures this year.
- does NOT sound strange to me - actually that is what really got me moving to loss weight, Molli's family, DS and DH and I planned to go to WDW together and I just made up my mind - I was NOT going to be the "fat lady" in the pictures (or as you said, not in any pixs). WW counting points just clicked with me and I have palm that I track points - once upon a time I had a clippie that said 35 pounds gone - now it says 20 - and I am DETERMINED to get that 35 clippie once again! I know the plan works for me if I just work the plan:rolleyes1

Back to "work" for me - my break is over - but I just enjoyed a nice cup of coffee with diet swiss miss while I was playing catch up on this thread- thanks for the company:love:

Happy Birthday, Charity Lynn!
I went over a friend's house last night, and we celebrated our birthdays together with Chinese food (ouch!), but today for the first time in weeks, I felt well enough to get a little exercise. I did 3 laps around my neighborhood (1/4 mile each) before coughing myself into a fit...not quite well yet. But hey, heart rate up for a little bit! It's a start!

Question of the Day:For those who celebrate Christmas: Are all your decorations down?

Nope, today is Epiphany, and this would be the day to do that. Unfortunately ;) I haven't time to do that right now, so we'll take them all down over the course of . . . . My girls are really excited that I bought DH a new "melody clock" which means that the singing Christmas clock will go down . . . after two YEARS. (and one of my crêches hasn't been down for a while, either.)

We just finished taking down all the Christmas decorations this morning....now as for putting them up, that's another story all together. We had our house built and just moved in at the end of February 2007. So we have been here awhile, but our attic isn't finished yet. So for now we are using the extra bedroom as a junk/boxes room. It is very :scared1: scary in there right now! I want it to be all clean and organized, but I don't feel like I can get it that way until we set up the attic. Oh, well, house stuff is another of our New Year priorities!

I did ok with my food yesterday and got in some exercise. Today I opted to take a day off from the exercise because my ankle is a bit sore from ice skating Friday. I did get on the scale this morning and it was good :woohoo: :cool1: I'll wait til tuesday for the official number though before saying anything :thumbsup2

We decided yesterday that we are going on a trip to Las Vegas the first week in March :woohoo: So that should be pretty good motivation for me. I would like to lose at least 15 pounds before we go! That would be really great! :cheer2:

Hope everyone is having a Great weekend!! Lots of :wizard: :wizard: for staying on plan and getting in some good exercise :goodvibes Come on everyone!!:cheer2: :cheer2: We can do this! :yay:

Question of the Day

For those who celebrate Christmas: Are all your decorations down?

We celebrate, but don't decorate. My DD has a tiny pre-lit tree that stays up in her room all year. It started out as a night light, but the lights weren't meant to be on for those extended periods, so now it's just a room decoration. At the moment, it's still in the living room (Santa moves it out when he leaves presents), so I guess we're still decorated.

Just follow the instructions at the beginning of this thread to join us.

If you would like to have a WISH buddy to encourage you contact PRINCESS VIJA. Please report your beginning weight to me, dare2dream, as soon as possible. Each week report your weight to me by Tuesday at midnight. Each week we will name our 10 Biggest Losers. I am just back from a road trip and am still working on cleaning out my PM box so until Tuesday please contact me via email at brenda@kbelectric.biz or blct@comcast.net. On Tuesday I will be ready for all the PMs that will be coming my way.

Dona, thanks for the questions to get us chatting. Let me just say I hate to exercise. Period. I do enjoy a nice walk around the block as my tag implies, unfortunately I have not been very faithful about doing that lately and that tag is a constant reminder to me that I really should take a walk around the block. As for decorations, since we were gone for Christmas none were even put up. Since all the kids are gone Christmas just isn't the same. Moms in the trenches I know it is hard to believe but watch out they really do grow up and leave home. It seems like yesterday they were all here and the house was constantly in chaos.

I am still working to get back to reality after a wonderful trip with DH. I had a healthy lunch and WILL exercise today.

What are YOU up to today?

Have a healthy day!

Sherris, I celebrate Hanukkah as well! I was thinking of moving to a LED menorah next year.

-Cheryl

We celebrate Hanukkah and I just finished washing up the menorahs (the candle holders) and getting off the wax on them and put them away. They've been sitting out collecting dust.

Thanks for the reminder!

And, if anyone has seen my buddy, mansionterror, tell her I'm looking for her. Haven't heard from her yet.

Wow, great thread...and I am finally here! With dd off school until tomorrow she has been dominating the computer (she just discovered Youtube, lol). I have been doing WW for 2 years and lost 75 pounds. I had been plateauing for awhile (since summer) and then had a breast biopsy the week before Thanksgiving...then had surgery to remove an ovary/tumor on December 18th, so I have been officially off-plan for over 6 weeks now and I gained back 15 pounds! ugh.

Dd goes back to school tomorrow and I am healed enough to start back to the gym, and my WW weigh in is Tuesday--so I am going to get back on it starting tomorrow! Unfortunately I probably have more surgery in my near future, which will keep me from exercising, but this time I will not let it keep me from staying on my diet. I am determined and committed to lose as much as possible before I have to go back for more surgery.

OH, and to answer the question of the day from last week:
Favorite exercise? I love to lift weights! The heavier the better, I love to feel tough and strong. LOL I lift weights 3 days a week with a personal trainer (before surgery, hoping to get back to it this week though with lighter weights) I am also transitioning from walking every day to running and I am hoping to start running in races this spring that in the past I always walked.

Q for the day?

Nope. Not until next weekend probably. Staring at my Christmas tree, and it's barely hanging in there, right now. Still green though. The Christmas tree is probably laziness. But I love our village. And will miss it for a bit. It's supposed to be over 50 here this week so I'm sure that will motivate me.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

I am sitting here next to my fully decorated live christmas tree. Thankfully we always cut one down so it's not too dry or anything. Live cut trees last so much longer, perfect for procrastinators like me. ;)

We also have lights on the outside of our house that need to come down. I will probably catch up on all this stuff tomorrow when dd goes back to school. I am going to the gym first though, then come home to tackle things. :cool1:
