Joannel - could you elaborate on the BOSU? I've seen them, but know nothing about them.

AEG, I'm with you on staying on points today!! Must do it!! Also need to return stuff - but I haven't even started that!!

Hope everyone has a great Weekend! Hopefully I'll actually feel good enough to get to the gym..... still fighting crud & obsessing over swollen nodes & DD's enlarged spleen. (this has been some nasty stuff!)

Good morning everyone :wave2:

I'm down .5 pound so far, which I'm happy about because I haven't been very strict with my food choices this week. I'm getting back on track though, now that all of the junky food that's been in the house is gone. I normally do not have any junk in the house, but between DH being on vacation for a week and a half over the winter break, and me going back to my old way of thinking "this is just a special treat", SEVERAL "special treats" ended up in the grocery cart these last couple of weeks. lol :confused3 They kind of just jumped in off the shelves.

Anyway, I hope everyone has a great weekend! Our next weigh-in is Tuesday morning right?? :)

I'm still fighting a nasty cold...I'm coughing up little cartoon characters from the Mucinex commercials...so still no gym for me. I haven't gained, but no way have I been able to lose. I consider this week a wash, but hey, there's always tomorrow...

Hey BLs I'm here reading about all the great things you will be doing. You can do this! Every day make something happen!

Go Losers! Go!

:cheer2:

I just had to stop by here to WISH all the Biggest Losers my support. You are all so special and you can do this. Never lose sight of this fact! You can do this!

Joannel - could you elaborate on the BOSU? I've seen them, but know nothing about them.

I'm not Joanne, but I didn't answer yesterday's question and BOSU is my favorite way to exercise, but I haven't been able to find a class here since I've moved. I know they sell them, but I'm the kind of person that needs to have a class full of people to exercise, if I rely on just me it will never happen.

BOSU stands for Both Sides Up, the thing flips over and you can do different exercises with the blue bouncy side down. It's a really good ab workout, you can pretty much do everything you can do on a step with the added balance aspect. But you can also do crunches, push ups, like you'd use on a regular exercise ball. It's difficult at first to stay up on top and you fall a million times off it, but it's alot of fun.

OMG...a new special project! This isn't WPASADI again, is it????

Hi everyone! I'm sorry that I have not been around much this week. I have to work late every night and then I got home yesterday to find myself locked out of the DIS. It has not been a fun 24 hours. Not sure what happened, but I seem to be back, at least for now.

Unfortunately, with the crazy days at work, I have not come close to staying on points or going to the gym. Today I will start back to the gym. Tomorrow I will work hard at my points. I'm not counting on a loss this week. I really need help getting this under control.
thanks
jana

Ok, I guess it wouldn't be secret if you told.

Nice to see you, Richard!

Oh, look...editing makes it post twice!

well i just had to pop in -- i so did not want to go to the fitness center today but i did, even though i couldn't go until 11:30 a.m. i still went...i worked out hard, 35 mins on the elliptical and 20 mins toning with abs and stretching....not to mention i passed on papa johns pizza and homemade apple pie last night....and still my jeans hardly snapped today. they are too tight now and i'm making myself wear them....i hope this is just my metabolism rebooting b/c i've done well, well i guess only since Thursday when i started....and yet i feel like i've gained 5 lbs! what is up with this?

Happy Saturday BLs!

I will likely go walk later today but I'm taking an off day today. I'm really feeling the weights I was lifting yesterday, I'm sore now, but I'm sure it'll be worse tomorrow but it feels good to feel sore. :)

I've been trying to regulate my eating. When I first get back into the gym I always feel hungry. It takes me about a week to not feel like I need to eat everything in sight. I have found the Quaker mini rice cakes in a cheddar cheese flavor that only have 70 cals. a serving. Those are great for my salt cravings and the carmel corn flavor is good for those sweet cravings.

I'm working on one of my other resolutions which is organizing our stuff and downsize things, our two bedroom apartment is splitting at the seams.

I just popped out from cleaning up the bookcase in our bedroom. I was looking at all the different weight-loss and exercise books, I should have a degree in this stuff, I've read so much. I just don't get why I know what I have to do but man, doing it is really hard, what is it going to take for me to just click it on and do it?!

Got to the gym today--yeah!!! :thumbsup2 I didn't want to go out of the house there was lighting and thunder but I did it anyway and my DH went with me. :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Wow, I've been having a really hard time keeping up with this thread. I wanted to read all about everyone, but it took forever! I'm caught up now so I'll try to stay on top of it :thumbsup2

I thought I'd still answer yesterdays QOTD:
I haven't found an exercise that I really love and do consistently. I do really LOVE to dance, but DH doesn't so I don't do it as much as I used to. I also have really enjoyed some of the fitness classes in the past particularly a tae bo class that I took last year (it has been discontinued :sad2: ). I also really enjoy the Total Body Sculpt workouts w/ Gilad on FitTV. I have recorded several and am going to use them as a good portion of my workouts.

I am glad to hear that several of you enjoy Yoga. I was supposed to get a 5 class gift certificate to the local yoga studio from DH for Christmas, but they were closed for the Holiday when he went to get it. So, I'm still looking forward to getting it and trying out yoga for the first time! I think it will be really good for me especially on my stressful work weeks :thumbsup2

So far I have been doing pretty well on my foods. I have kept pretty close to 1500 calories daily :cool1: and made better choices this week. We even ate out last night and I ordered from the WW menu :woohoo:

I have exercised 3 days so far this year :yay: that is on track so far :woohoo:

Keep up the good work ladies!! Now I'm off to PM my buddy! Thanks Vija!!

clipart requests?? did i remember folks asking for smaller version?

has anyone downsized it yet and mind sharing their link? if not i'll make a point to do that tomorrow ::yes::

PHew!!! I am just popping in after an EXHAUSTING day at work. I work 12 hour shifts in Surgery on weekends and we worked our tails off. Walked all day long. I am tired, but the good news, is I am sure I worked off many calories, and it kept me out of the lounge with the food! But oiy, my feet are going to be in pain tomorrow morning...:headache: I will have to catch up on the thread Monday morning.

So, aside from that, I have to say I am having a great time getting to know my buddy, how about everybody else?

Also, please welcome some new challengers...

jakenjacksmom ... reginaastralis
tl swift.... mudnuri

4 new challengers and they each got a buddy!

I don't have a "Buddy"...or at least, I don't have a Buddy that I know about  .
agnes!
PS - Would either Princess or maybe dare2dream e-mail me if I'm Buddied-up?

Never mind, just found it. For any other WISH'ers who think they might be Buddyless, here's the link...Buddy List :teeth:

agnes!

Good Morning Everyone,

This has been a tough weekend for me but I have been real good with my food choices and I feel I've lost something:confused3 . I can not until weigh-in on Tuesday.

Yesterday my family took me out for my Birthday to Bertucci's this was tough but I ate alot of salad, only 1 roll (omg it was so good) and a shrimp appetizer, then I had nothing else the rest of the day.

Today I have another challenge it is my Mom's Bday and we are taking her out to eat. I am going to do the same thing and see what happens.

Anyways thanks for listening and I hope everyone is doing good.

Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels - I heard that once and like it :goodvibes
