Biggest Loser 2009 - Couples 2

I haven't had a chance to watch all of this week's show, but I did see the ending. I am SO not a fan of Ron's. He out and out lied to Kristen but it is a show and he is trying to get Mike to win. I also feel it was cocky of Mike to say he would win and downplay Tara's effort. After weeks of everyone saying that Tara is the biggest threat, they suddenly change to Kristen :confused3.

This is the way I look at it, yes Kristen has more weight she still has to lose but that isn't necessarily a good thing. Recent winners have lost about 50%. I don't know the numbers off hand, but figure out how much Tara, Mike and Kristen have lost. Who is closest to reaching 50%? That's your biggest threat. Kristen didn't lose much of anything in the last couple of weeks and still has quite a stretch to reach 50%.

Just some thoughts.

Tara is the biggest threat with the most % lost but she was not below the yellow line therefore couldn't be voted for. Kristen was the bigger threat then Helen. Kristen went home.

I still hope Mike wins all!

If you go to the Biggest Loser site, they show the total percentage of weight loss. I checked on Wednesday, Tara is at 40% and Michael is at 39%. He could catch her since he has more to lose than her. Helen is at 37%. At this point it is a toss up between the two of them. Should be interesting to see who goes below the yellow line this coming week.

Wow...I bet Mike wins it then based on those numbers. Tara would have to be anorexic to pull it off by the finale, don't you think?

Is it just me or have they not really showed the much of Filipe at all lately?

Mike would win IF he and his dad can continue the journey at home. I know that Tara will have her nose to the grindstone the who way. I think she's like Ali who replaced food with exercise as her addiction. I didn't that that Ali would make it either.

I absolutely CANNOT STAND Helen. She is so manipulative. When they were having their challenge she tells Tara that she will split the $10 grand with her if Tara will lose and then 5 seconds later when Helen is talking she says that she could really use that 1 pound advantage. UM...HELLO!!! You just offered half the cash to Tara! You can't have both, lady!

I want Mike to win. I don't care for his dad too much.

After the last episode I don't care for Mike or his dad. That little bit of footage at the end said a whole lot.

Yeah, I saw the same thing. I was thinking ... were you planning to screw Tara out of an extra $5,000 after you screwed her out of the first $10,000 with that cookie?

You know I would like the see the reactions when the people from the show are watching the show like we are.....:scared1: "oops! forgot my mike was on when I said that!"

I hope they do something about people who drink water when they have immunity. I laughed at Kristen's reaction to her one pound gain compared to when it happened the week she won immunity.

Her acting was so bad. She barely looked upset then compared to crying this week. :rotfl:

The more I watch this show the more I am convinced 3/4 of it is all a set up. There isn't any way Ron didn't remember that his mike was on. When you are a manipulative person, you look out for traps. He could have simply handed his son a slip of paper with the message written on it but that doesn't make for good TV.

Have any of the previous contestants written a book about their experience on the show? I am betting they are sworn to secrecy.

Agree.

I am convinced that the video for Bob of what his teammates were eating was completely scripted and staged.

It really does irk me that we are being played at home like suckers.

ITA! :thumbsup2

As the OP, of this thread and someone that was so excited for this Season, I have lost all interest in BL. :headache: I rarely watch it anymore. :headache:

Product placements and scripted scenes...leave me

Good luck to the winner.

Highlights for tonights show from BLC........

Tonight: When Mike declared in the elimination room last week that he would become the next Biggest Loser, the gauntlet was thrown down. As we begin tonight's Biggest Loser, each of the five surviving players is strategizing on what it will take to be a finalist and, ultimately, to win the title. As trainer Jillian Michaels hollers at Helen during the last-chance workout, "We don't just give away spots in the finals, woman. You gotta earn it."
Filipe Fa sizes up his competition, with Mike at the top of the list, saying Mike's best strategy for the finale would be to make sure he's up against Tara Costa and Helen. For Filipe to stay in the game, he tells the cameras, "I have to make sure I kill it this week, because I've only got one chance left." Mike counters, "As long as I don't screw up, I'm in the finale." He and Ron have managed to be the only team to remain on campus all season, running backup and interference for each other all along. Mike discloses, "So far, my dad has played this game masterfuly. He's playing chess, everyone else is playing checkers." But will Ron admit his manipulations when trainer Bob Harper confronts him about former teammate Kristin's elimination?
Since it's the last week on campus, look for trips down memory lane, sizing up how far the players have come in 17 weeks, mixed emotions about returning home, a challenge that involves putting all those lost pounds back on (then shedding them for good) and, of course, a brutal last-chance workout. Who will face elmination? Who will become the finalists? We shall see, tonight!
