Biggest Loser 2009 - Couples 2

I thought they should have given Nicole another chance. But if anybody can make it at home, she has. I bet she gets the home prize. She was incredible! Part of me wishes Ron had gone home, and another part of me agrees that he shouldn't be penalized for being in the hospital.

Anybody think that she waterloaded and overdid it?

Me! Me! :yay:

I liked Alli better as a host, Michelle kept saying "you guys" and that grates on my nerves.:headache:

See, and I thought Michelle did better. Alli was reading it and it was really obvious too.

How come Bob had a special workout for just Sione and Kristen? And why didn't Felipe jump up and down, cry and tell Bob that he felt he was being ignored and it just wasn't fair? :rotfl2:

:lmao::lmao::thumbsup2

Late post, but does anyone else wonder who died and left Ron boss? Every week he's first to jump in with "...has got to go home!" Why do the others kowtow to him? :confused3 I know he wants to keep Mike there (so do I!) but he's mouthing off even if Mike isn't below the yellow line! It may not be the best game play, but I think he's gotta go - just because of the annoyance factor!:rotfl2:

I also think it's a psychological thing. Ron is a "father" figure, especially since his son is on the campus. I think that just about everyone subconsciously accepted this guy as a "father" figure in the house because of his early season persona. Once you've accepted someone as having some sort of moral authority over you, you're more likely to accept what they say. The fact that he delivers things the way he does increases that. He puts on his "solemn, yet firm and authoritative" cap and people just find themselves nodding along with what he says even though they know it's stupid.

Psychological warfare. It's a ... beast.

Quik here is the rub with Ron and his warfare, he doesn't know how to take it.

Loading up Helen was declaring war.:lmao:

OK, help me remember. Didn't Kristen (purple) had immunity and she gain a few pounds but she didn't go home? But then again I don't think she was below the yellow line, right? Did anyone pick up "you have immunity this week unless you have gained" we look at each other and knew then, she gain. The show never says this at the weigh in.

I've suspected that they do at least a preliminary weigh in first -- before they film on the big scale. They order they get called in to the scale always seems so conveniently dramatic.

I heard Alison say that and I thought -- "oh, she gained."

Yea, they do weigh before the show so they can do the DRAMATIC weigh in, believe me the girls are not wearing all that jewerly....Our ears picked up when Alison said the 'if you gain" thing before the poor girl got the so call DRAMATIC scale.

I caught that too. Since when has immunity been lost when you gain weight? I never heard that before (but this is only the second season I have watched.) But it wasn't said when the TOLD Nicole she had immunity. I would've been argueing about that if it was me. LOL!

You are not alone. I thought hey...when Nicole lost immunity.

I might have it taped, I will have to check or the easy way, somebody comment who knows.:lmao:

I guess I'm the only one that actually likes Ron? I really like him and his son. I also don't think either of them cares one bit about being the biggest loser, I think they just care about staying on campus until the very end to lose as much as possible. You can tell that Mike is an extremely good and nice person...well you don't get that way without wonderful parents, so I can't help but like Ron. I also want him to succeed seeing that he has tried every other method known to lose weight.

That's OK. I am gunning for Tara and alot of people do like here either.

Everybody has their favorites.

It's not that I dislike him...I just think he is handling himself in a way that makes him seem like he has a God complex.

Actually, this is the first time in a couple of seasons where I have liked all of the contestants. (I like the cousins, they are just cry babies...but I think that has to do with their ages).

I just assumed that the weight gain thing was a stipulation for Nicole coming back into the house.

I think the weight gain stipulation was because Nicole gained immunity by coming back into the house- not by winning a challenge.

The "scale" they step on does not even work. They are weighed ahead of time and the scale they step on for the "weigh in" is just for show.

Anybody notice that they are no longer taking off their shirts or wearing bras for the weigh in?

They always do this, I don't understand why? I think it should be opposite, have them wear the tanks first then after they lose the weight wear the bras .

I think this was the best game play there is. Think about it, if Mikey is below the yellow line, Jillian's team won't vote for him because he is on the team. Ron will convince Bob's team to hang onto him as well and vise versa when it comes to Ron.

If anything the players without family members there should start ganging up on those that do, as long as there are partners there are votes.

I noticed that too.

I was surprised when Allyson said that Nicole would only have immunity if she lost weight, I had never heard that before. I think that's how immunity should always work, that would eliminate the water-loading.

It makes for better before and after pictures. And let's face it, with Ron I was so happy they were wearing their shirts.:lmao:
