Biggest Loser 2009 - Couples 2

My guess for next show is that whoever wins the challenge will choose between the 2 that fell below the yellow line as the person to go.

On the NBC website it says "one player gets the ony vote at elimination"

Geesh. They really could have made this season pretty cool with the players they had.

I guess the issue for me is that I could have used some positive infusion with this show and the negative portion is beginning to grind on my nerves, you know?

What Mystery Machine just said! Exactly!

A show about hope is becoming a show about ratings and product placement.
Things are being manipulated to increase the drama.

I'm getting tired of the negative stuff too. I've watched since the first season. Some of the challenges are neat, but I'd rather see them deal more with weight issues and training. For example, it has got to take more than Jillian and Bob "beating them up" for them to "get it". What else do they do on the ranch that helps them "get it". Also, Ron is injured and other have various injuries along the way. What is done differently in training for them? Many of us can't train the way they do on the show - I couldn't run if I tried because of a knee problem.

I almost wish they would get rid of the monetary prize. Maybe some of the negative stuff would go away. I don't like the teams as that just encourages them to gang up on each other.

Agree. They could have brought in another trainer for Dan, Dave, elderly couple, and Ron.

That would have been so helpful to see training with a disability or when a contestant has an injury/problem.

Instead we get "so & so is sitting out" and that is it.

They missed the boat there.

I so agree with what you all have just said. The first season or two it was a very different show. I am sick of seeing them push a product like it's the big magic pill for weight loss. And if they don't stop talking about calories and how little there are in something I'm going to hit the TV -- talk about eating clean, about balance, about getting in healthy guidelines, about real weight loss that you'll keep off -- I guarantee those that have lost 100 lbs in what 14 weeks, will put that on again so quickly they aren't going to know what hit them. Instread of screaming in their faces, I'd much rather see them really showing them the way to do it and keep the weight off for life. make it a real life change. All the money they win, I'd tie it to them going home and keeping it off for 12 months. That's the real true test of being the biggest loser. Me, I'm more proud of me and my weight loss journey this year, I did it while working a high stress job, a family and leaning to put myself first. Didn't have a Bob or Jillian screaming at me once. I did have a great WW group that cheered me on our lb I lost and helpt me not beat myself up when the scale did not reflect the hard work I had done that week.

Is there a place the viewers could leave feedback/comments etc that might actually be passed on to any of the BL powers that be?

How about that voting? Sione, Felipe and Helen voting for Ron.

And then Ron with the lying to your face comment.

The obvious choice was to vote off Nicole, duh. So I consider the voting for Ron to be a slam back to him.

The glare he gave Helen was priceless.:lmao:I guess he forgot how funny he was loading the weight on her scale on the prior challenge.

I thought Michelle was great as a host. I like Ali and have seen her on QVC however she was very robotic reciting the lines.
I loved that Ron got a little in your face attitude thrown back at him. How on earth he could have thought there was still an alliance there with the blue team is beyond me. HELLO???? Last week as soon as they sat down to discuss elimination he said that the the blue guy needed to go home. Shot the heck right out of the alliance right there. And he really thought they wouldnt' turn around and vote against him?
Me! Me! :yay:

See, and I thought Michelle did better. Alli was reading it and it was really obvious too.
I was thrilled that they both were there. It was a neat twist. I agree that Michelle seemed a lot more relaxed but I love the pep talk that Ali gave to Dave. That brought tears to my eyes and I really hope he "heard" what she was saying. I would love it if the host could become someone who was a past contestant. That would be so much more meaningful to have someone who has battled being overweight and fought it on the show. It would make them so much more connected.
[
For this reason it would be good to change up trainers a bit. Or have a random draw. They seem to be attached before they even get in the house (Sione knowing when he watched Bob on tv that they had a connection. ***?) The tears and drama were over the top IMO, but I blame alot of that on cry-baby Bob. He encouraged all of them with the boo-hooing.

The whole Sione/Filipe/Bob thing is so annoying. I would be thrilled if Bob left but very bummed if Jillian did. Not sure I would bother to watch anymore.

I wanted to congratulate you on your hard work.:banana::banana::cool1::cool1::cool1::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

From BLC email today... Sounds like it's gonna be one heck of a show tonight!

Tonight: It's one for the show's history books! A high-calorie temptation gives way to a feeding frenzy where one lucky player wins control of the game. Whoever finds the "golden ticket" hidden somewhere in 100 covered trays of cupcakes, donuts and chips will be the one and only judge at this week's elimination. But does this prize come at a price? How many calories will the players rack up trying to find the ticket? And how hard will it be for the winner to send someone home?
From the start, tension and fear fill the house as furious Ron and son Mike vow to exact revenge on the three players who tried but failed to send Ron home last week. Broken alliances, betrayal--some players whisper that it feels like a scene from The Godfather with Don Ron!
The famed Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena is the site for this week's grueling physical challenge: contestants must run up and down more than 2,000 stairs in the stadium's bleachers. Whoever comes in first and second place must then turn around and do it again!
Trainers Bob and Jillian, angry at players' indulgences at the temptation, push them in the gym, but for some mighty competitors, it may not be enough to keep them above the yellow line. Oh, and be sure to look for a surprise appearance from a svelte father-daughter team from Season 6!

"Don Ron"? :lmao:

I guess we get to see his true colors tonight. I already don't like him, I am sure I will be yelling at the TV.:rotfl:

I am going to get my :

On 24 last night, Jack was exposed to a bio chemical and was convulsing from the effects. My husband yells out, "Quick! Get Jack a Brita bottle and some Extra gum. Those items can get you through anything!" :rotfl2:

We were watching 24 also and my DH said to get the Windex!! (Remember My Big Fat Greek Wedding?? :rotfl2:)

Oh, and be sure to look for a surprise appearance from a svelte father-daughter team from Season 6!

That would be Coleen and Jerry, right? They looked good in the commercial during a previous episode, but it will be interesting to see how much they've lost/kept off since the show.

Tonights episode was much more interesting. I honestly wasn't sure who was going home.

I have to say, again, that Filipe is the biggest baby. Saying he was going to explode at Ron, but he respects his elders? Isn't Jillian older than him? And then going off on Kristin? Can't stand him.

Is the banner ad for auditions for The Biggest Loser showing up for other people? I just noticed it.

Did everyone sleep well last night, on their Sleep Number bed? LOL!

Was that temptation really worth it?? Not to be gross, but I'll bet at least some of the contestants threw it up afterward!

Okay, I USED to like Ron.

I was thinking the same thing. Tara probably went and puked.:rotfl:

I did like Sione and I understand why she had to let him go. He is a bigger threat, right? I don't know the numbers.

However, Helen was the one that took away Tara's 10,000 so I don't know if that was the smartest pick. :confused3

As far as Ron, I knew all along he was like that. No surprise there. I am glad they finally saw the light on him.

Best part of the whole show was when Mike told his Dad to just shut up.

:lmao:

I did alot of fast forwarding and didn't see it. I guess he said it when they were in the room.

Ron has now crossed over from helping his son to hurting him. He should have kept his mouth shut.
