Biggest Loser 2009 - Couples 2

I was cheering when Tara won. And yea, I get why they loaded her up with the weights.

And oh I so wanted Felipe to go home!!! Although I don't care for Aubrey either.

Why they didn't can Felipe was so dumb!!!:sad2:

So....who thinks Tara waterloaded? I do. The shock of not losing to the 100lb mark is not like her, you know?

However that being said she is who I am cheering for. Go Tara!:cheer2:

What does water load mean?

I must be the only one here, but I swear I can't stand Tara. I thought she was the biggest baby when she was pouting about the weight they gave her. She knows she's a targer, she says it like every 5 minutes on the show. Which I hate also. She brags too much.

And here is what I thought was really weird. Mike and Sione were huffing and puffing and sweat was dripping off them when they were pulling that car, BUT Tare never broke a sweat and it looked so easy for her. I found that very strange.

What does water load mean?

Water loading is where they drink a quart or two (or 4 lol) of water to make themselves weight more than they normally would for a weigh in. The idea is then, that the 2 or 3 lbs you added you can pee out, therefore having two weeks worth of weight loss count the next week

I'm with everyone else I like Tara and Mike. And yes...they seem to be keeping this "old" Bob "old" Julian mentality which is absolutely rediculious.

Felipe was all "I'm glad I got Bob back" and I was confused b/c he's been training with him for 2 weeks now.

My thoughts on choosing trainers was this...if you go back to the beginning and look all the way through...Jullian's team (regardless of whose on it) pulled a majority of the higher numbers...that is until Felipe and Sieone flipped. Then they started pulling their usual 3-8 lbs.

So as far as Mike and that other pink lady were concerned...Julian helped them pull bigger numbers than when they were with Bob. I'm glad they all didn't just pick Bob. I think that Tara and her partner are good as long as they stay above the yellow line. With so many original Bob members left I think they both have 2 or 3 weeks and great chance at making the final. The pink lady may flip.

The challendge was just cruel in the beginning. I mean, Ron made it seem like they were really going to gang up on the folks that ditched Bob for Julian (the Pink lady and Mike) but only the Pink lady really got creamed with weight. The guys a hypocratic. Where was the punishment for Mike?

I don't think Tara water loaded. I think she just didn't try too hard. That day of the weigh in the players go to big lengths to make the biggest weight loss possible. They take laxatives, they don't drink water. I'll bet it's a bit like watching a wrestler or boxer trying to make his weight class. I think that Tara did give up winning the 100 lbs so that she could have a bigger number next week, but I don't think she did anything extreme. She has to watch it now. This is when it gets tough. She under 200 and the closer you get the your goal weight the slower the weight comes off.

I'm horrible with names, so the girl that left...well, I don't know why all the drama it was very obvious she was going home. She was old Jullian. At least next week it should be an old Bob member going home.

As for Felipe making the bottom 2. All I can say is Karma sucks but it always comes back to bite you in the butt. Whether it was Karma for the way he treated Jullian or Karma for the way he treated Tara...he deserved the scare.

Do you really think they take laxitives? maybe I'm stupid, but that would be sooo unhealthy, and aren't they supposed to be healthy too? And then how could they do a last chance workout if they took them. Wouldn't they be needing to be sitting on the toilet??

I can't beleive they waterload either. Wow. I can;t see why the ywould do it. Do the trainers tell them too? has it been said that past contestansthave done this, or is this just something people think happens? I guess I am niave. :flower3:

So what did the previews show. They started and then went directly to commercial, so basically the whole preview was cut off.

I don't know about the laxatives. I would hope not. But they do waterload--Contestants have admitted to it before. A few seasons back one person did it so his team could go to elimination, and vote out a player that they didn't like. It's risky though. If Tara did it (and I think she did) she hit it perfect--Still lost 3 lbs, so it won't work against her next time. Perfect game play. Some people have gained weight.

The previews showed that next week, old teams will be coming back, and a player has a chance to return. They showed white, red, and orange. I didn't see gray.

What makes you think they take laxatives? I have a hard time believing that.

I agree, I don't like her at all and I really hope she doesn't win.

Hmmm, would you happen to have/know of a link I could read corraborating this?

One of the contestants on a previous season admitted it on the show. It was either 2 or 3 seasons ago - one of the guys. My brain is mush but someone else will probably remember who it was.

Yes, I know they did in the last season.

I know someone that was on the show.

Really? Who?

If it is Heba, Is her weight still off?

I can't even imagine how they can work out after using laxitives. It take a little while to work, but once they do, there is no way they can keep at working out.

I didn't like Heba last seaon. It was amazing the weight she lost BUT at the last show, what was with that dress. She had the saggiest ****s ever! LOL! She really needed a bra, or one adjust right.

So do the trainers tell them to take laxitives? I really find that hard to beleive.

So the show provides them with laxatives? It's not like they can run out to the CVS! Or do the contestants pretend the "need" them and then hoard them? I'm curious.

I was just wondering if maybe they needed them because of the diet they have. I am a "slim fast" person, but it tends to constipate me. So I wonder if there diet does that to them too. Maybe it's not about lsoing extra weight (maybe :confused3) but using them becuase they wil lbe bloated if they don't? I'm trying to think positive here.

Yes, I know they did in the last season.

Was this something they did on their own or did the BL supply them with this stuff? I can't imagine them using those on this show. Did you read this somewhere? If so can you post the link, I really am curious about this now.

The person who posted said she knew someone on the show last season. I know there was someone who was friends w/ Heba.

I usually agree with the majority of comments on message boards when discussing these reality shows, but I'm on my own on this one! LOL

First, I do give Tara A LOT of credit for that car challenge. What amazing determination. I could learn a lot from her. That said, sometimes her attitude drives me nuts. That silly temper tantrum about quitting the show made no sense to me. While I can sort of see why she'd get upset about getting all the weight in the challenge from everyone, I REALLY think she should have looked at it as a real confidence boost. She IS a threat so it just made sense to me that the other contestants would give her the weight. :confused3 It had NOTHING to do with her personally.

I also really like Sione and Kristen. I was disappointed at Sione's performance in the challenge, but basically I like who he is and how hard he tries. I was thrilled for Kristen's 100lb weightloss too.

I like Mike a lot too. I'm not a big fan of Ron, but I don't dislike him the way many people do. I think he is playing the game, while keeping his son's safety in his mind at all times. I was really sad to see the struggles Aubrey went through after returning home. I really hope she can work out some child care or something so she has some time to herself to exercise. Maybe she could do some exercise WITH the kids?

Bottom line - I'm routing for Mike, Sione & Kristen.
Mixed towards Tara
Indifferent towards Ron, Laura & Helen

These thoughts may change at any time! LOL

I agree. I really dislike Tara. She is too full of herself in my opinion. She had a target on her back from day 1, really?? I think if things were reversed and someone else was a bigger threat, she'd be right there piling the weight on them. Every episode seems like the Tara show , it's annoying. If she weren't so obnoxious, maybe I'd be rooting for her, but something about her turns me off. I think she was too quick to constantly blame Laura for holding her back, when Laura really was doing better than many of the other players.
Tara appears too self-centered and I think maybe the other contestants feel that too. I'm rooting for Mike all the way. He seems like a genuinely nice kid, who cares about others while trying to do what is best for himself. In my opinion, he is the most mature one there.
