Have you cut down on canned and boxed foods? That is where I started.
It took time. And now after several yrs., my palate has changed. Boxed foods will taste like a brick of salt after you retrain yourself.
I cut out margarine on veggies. I can steam them and eat them plain. You don't need to add spices or toppings. Again it takes awhile to retrain your mind that eating plain veggies is normal.
Now, I am going to the next level. I have to train myself out of margarine completely.

Not sure how I am going to do that, however it has to be done for me. I eat way too much of it.
I am still eating processed snacks.

That is on my list however I won't "cut it out" completely until I have fully replaced my diet with fresh fruit/veggies.
My point is to target what you feel that you need/ready to change. It may be alot or 1 thing.
The goal is to get away from processed food, sugar, white flour, white rice, white bread, etc...
