Biggest Loser 2009 - Couples 2

I'm in! :surfweb:

I hope this will be a better season than the last. All of the nastiness and drama took away from the positive feel of the show that I've enjoyed in the past.

It's not this past season they are showing- it's another season.

It was kind of fun watching the season as a marathon. This was Season 3 - the only one I had missed. I watched the last two shows. I wish I would have just watched the last two shows of this past season and skipped all the game playing! :scared1:

Count me in on this thread:thumbsup2 I LOVE this show:banana:

.... I thought LAST season when the contestants went to meet him he told them he was once also a contestant on BL???

So I decided to google him and NOPE, no where does it say he was a contestant!!!

SORRY!!! :guilty:

I thought I heard the same exact thing when I watched that episode:flower3:

Yeah, I realized that later in the day:headache: Stupid Email--it said, watch your favorite couples all day long, or something like that, and had pictures of the final 4-Vickie, Heba, Michelle, and Ed

I thought I heard the same exact thing when I watched that episode:flower3:

I think the past contestant was the female Dr.

"Vickie". That name leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I disliked her immensely.

I love looking at all the pics. Sooo inspiring. I WANT an "after" pic!!! Amazing.

Who are y'all routing for? I'm picking the "green" team, just because. :thumbsup2

Not sure if this has been posted already.... It is a link to a follow up on some of the previous contestants.

http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/28239000/

thanks for the link! my husband and i were just talking yesterday about updates! i caught the marathon of season 3 yesterday about halfway through but i had to tivo the rest of it. i'm a newcomer to BL didn't start intil season 5 so it was weird to see the differences! caroline rhea as host? and the female trainer, kim lyons? and bob with his mullet? lol. i think i like allison, jillian, and bob's new hairdo better!:lmao:

can't wait till next week!

I haven't decided yet who I am going to root for. I'm going to wait for the first episode so Ican get a better idea of their personalities.

I don't know if anybody subscribes to the Christian magazine Guideposts, but they had a really neat article written by a past contestant. I believe her name was Julie Hadden. It is in the January issue.

Thank you! I went to http://www.guideposts.com and registered (free) and found the article by clicking on "Personal Change" and then on the "Biggest Loser" article. Maybe you can get to it without registering, I don't know.

Didn't look like a direct link would work...

:wave2: OP here

WOW, thanks DISer's for all joining in!!!!!!!!!!

I am under 6 months until my DS' wedding. My DH and I love BL but this season we will be joining in with BL more than we ever did!!! ::yes:: We are stepping up our workouts and we are thoroughly done with all the holiday eating!!!! :thumbsup2

I am so excited as this thread ALREADY is so awesome and BL has not even started yet!!!!!!!!! :dance3:

FOUR MORE DAYS!!!!!!!!! :yay: :woohoo: :yay: :woohoo: :yay: :woohoo:

Ok, DH is calling me as we are off to go for a WALK!!!! :goodvibes

The premiere is this Tuesday, right?

I don't want to miss anything. It's easier to get involved if I'm in from the beginning.

Can't wait!

Good Luck to you momrek06!!! You go girl.:woohoo:

I on the other hand am starting off with quitting smoking today. DH and I figured we were spending 200.00 a month on smoking!
That is enough to quit for us right there. We cannot afford it.

Tomorrow starts dog walking, weather permitting of course. The dogs and I are in desperate need of exercise.
My 17yodd who is a early HS Dec. graduate is going to get woke up and help me. And she will continue to learn cooking, cleaning, etc...till she is employed.;) She is going to college in the fall and needs to earn some money.

Not sure about what exercise I will do daily aside from walking. That I need to research some more.

Good Luck with quitting. I know it's really hard to do. Maybe thinking of the $ you save will help. :flower3:
Dogs are great walking partners. Once you start they will want to go all the time. Once you have a routine they will bug you until you take them for their walk. Trust me on this. :rolleyes1

Oh yea....I am just sick thinking of the money we spent already on it.:sad2:

Poor doggies....we were walking them reg. in Texas now however here in MO we have to drive somewhere to get a proper walk so REALLY have to push it.

And then we have our psycho dog...probably will be getting him a muzzle.

So dog walking here is a certain workout.:lmao:

We got a dog in late September. So we only had a couple months of dog walking weather. She loved it but now it's too cold to go. I'm excited for spring because walking is really the only exercise I don't hate...haha.

Last year I used our elliptical while watching the Biggest Loser. But that was in our aparment where the elliptical was in the living room. Now, in our house, it's downstairs. There's a t.v. but it's the old one. I'd rather watch the show on the good t.v.

When we quit, every week we put the $$ we would have spent on smokes in a special bank account. After a year being off them, we bought new furniture for our LR AND went to WDW for 3 days at Boardwalk!!!

I still have cravings now and then, so be ready for them. I found that having something to keep my hands busy really helped. I started learning piano-practicing kept my brain and my hands too busy to think about smoking.
