Biggest Loser 2009 - Couples 2

I think they are going to keep losing for sure now. The only one that can do anything in challenges is Aubrey now.

Wonder why Kristen couldn't compete tonight.

I really thought it was going to be Ron tonight. :sad2: But I can see they want to get rid of there strong ones so they can win the money.

It should have been. Did you see hem right off the bat they sat down & he said Mandy it's your turn to go home. If he was any kind of a man he would have said it's time for me to go. He has had lots of opertunity to lose weight, & he has not done it. That was alway he's reasoning for keeping people. His is a fat man & will always be, he doesn't want to do it on his own. Because he won't accept any blame. Who Vicki is looking awful Fab right now, you knew where she was all the time.

I personally don't see why the guys are jumping all over Jillian:headache: . Let's face it, they screwed up royally at their 24 hour luxury reward. Instead of putting on their big boy panties and owning up, they blame someone totally out of the picture. Hopefully they will rethink everything that happened and see that Jillian was not the one eating the burger sliders, mash potatoes, and doing the shots.:rolleyes1

I agree... those boys did that to themselves when they ate and drank that way.

Ron's kid was the only one to do well most likely because he is too young to drink booze :lmao:

I must be the only one that likes Kristen. I don't want her to win because I am pulling for Mike all the way but she strikes me as a fun loving person that will do very well on her own eventually. She is competitive and talks trash like all of them but that is part of the game. She seems to be enjoying herself and that is half the battle.

Filipe was unreal. I hate people that don't own up to things. That is one of the reasons some of them are overweight to begin with. I can't stand either of the cousins and Tara and Lara rub me the wrong way. Go Mike! :cheer2:

Me too! Still liking Mike the best and I want him to win, I like the preview of next week with them going home and Mike reaching out to his brother. I hope this show is a real changing point for his family!

I don't mind Ron, I think his priority is Mike and that's why he is still there, when they were voting off teams weeks ago, he begged for them to stay for Mike, and it must be hard to be on opposite teams now. I know his percentage of loss isn't always there, and I know he is the biggest one there, but at least Ron is always losing weight whereas some are gaining or having extremely low numbers.

Kristin is okay, the girl just talks waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much!!
Can't wait for next week, I always like the "going home for a visit" episodes! :thumbsup2

I couldn't believe that. I know it sounds bad, but as the challenge was going I was thinking if I was in the challenge I would purposely throw it because that was not a prize- that was a death sentence!

Could you believe Sione's little flip out? I can see he's frustrated but my God. I cna't believe they crossed sides! This is the craziest episode.

ETA: I think he ascribed motivations to Jillian that were not there. Maybe it's me, but I would have approached her during the workout in question instead of sulking on the treadmill. I'm sure Jillian didn't do it on purpose.
Totally agree with you on all counts. My kids and I were sitting there going "Hello???? Have you people never seen the show before??? People who win the luxury thing always always screw up!" And the drinking thing. Holy crap. As soon as I saw that I knew Jillian was going to kill them.

Did Mike participate in the over eating, drinking, & stuff? I don't remember seeing too much of him during those scenes.
At one point, someone said "What are you DOING?" When they were in the bar. It was typed at the bottom of the screen. I rewound it twice and it was Mike's voice that said that and it was a comment to one of the cousins about what they were eating.
Filipe is blaming Jillian. Did he actually think everything he ate wasn't going to affect his weight loss? And I don't know why, but I don't like Kristin. She is really annoying me.

Kim
I have really like Kristen until tonight and after that I wasn't too sure. This little alliance they have going with Ron is stupid. Way to guarantee that you lose every stinking challenge. First they send home Dane and now Mandi. Stupid stupid stupid. Ron is a nice enough guy but he is dead weight. I am sorry but if they are going to whine and gripe about not winning challenges and then send their strong players home, I don't know what else they expect.

As for Filipe's little tantrum. Jill probably didn't think he wanted her to work out with him. Or she just forgot somehow. Why didn't he say "Yo Jillian you can't leave yet. I'm not done." Way to take care of yourself. And what's his excuse for why Tara and Laura didn't lose? They worked with Jillian. Tara has been pulling HUGE numbers especially for a girl and she lost NOTHING.

As for Tara. She redeemed herself with me in two ways tonight. I had been getting pretty sick of her. The first thing she did was in pairing Laura up and stepping down herself. I think it was a real vote of confidence for Laura. I think part of Jillian's deal last week actually woke Tara up to what she had been doing to Laura with her own attitude. She was expecting Laura to fail. So, tonight she said loud and clear "I believe in you and you can do it." I also was very impressed that she clearly said "I blew it. I made bad choices and I let myself down." Filipe should take some notes.

I agree. I've never been a huge fan of Ron anyways, but tonight sealed the deal for me. Honestly, I was pretty disgusted with 1) how rude and quick to jump to Mandy he was and 2) for not doing what was best for the team. The blue team is doomed now.

You know ... I used to like the Tonga boys but now they just annoy me. Wah! Wah! Wah! Jillian didn't work me out! Yo, Felipe. Grow a pair and tell her to work you out! Instead you sulked and whined to the camera. Another thing ... when you are angry at her and yelling at her ... look her in the eyes! Wussie, wussie, wussie. No wonder you went back to Bob ... Jillian has more testosterone in her little finger and than you have and she will eat you for lunch (and then purge, but that's another thread ;)).

ITA, although I have always like Tara. I LOVED when she gave Laura that huge vote of confidence and stepped down herself in her favor. FWIW, I do think she water loaded but I also think she still expected to crack that 200 mark anyway.

You know ... I think that Black might have a leg up in going home next week. They had their binge and they know that they can't do it and still lose weight at the same rate. Blue did not have the same in-your-face lesson, KWIM.

Two more things:
(1) I really like Kristen. I think she has the attitude and ability to go all the way.
(2) I really hate Ron. He was so ready to throw Mandi under the bus, it wasn't even funny.

Filipe and Sione are the biggest damn babies ever. Boo Hoo I lost Bobby. It's all game on the black team. I don't feel like I belong. They were crying before they even worked out with Jillian once! I bet anything they have given off a big attitude to her. And why didn't Filipe speak up for himself? Why didn't he go out and get Jillian before she left? And then blaming her for you poor weight loss when you ate and drank like that? I used to like them, but not any more.

I think Kristin was annoying tonight because they showed her ALOT! I'm glad she beat Filipe though.

And my other thought while watching the show was no wonder they are looking for new trainers. I bet Jillian isn't back. She seems burnt out.

Why should Ron have gone home this week? I thought it was Mandi that gained weight? I think she did it on purpose so she could go home to her family....she even voted for Ron to avoid the chance of not being sent home.

Black team had just a small taste of what it's going to be like back in "the real world" and other than Mike they blew it. But of course it's all Jillian's fault for cramming alcohol and bad food down their throats and you can't forget the cigs. :sad2: Huge guilt trip for them so they got defensive. Who are they going to blame when they go home? They just don't understand it's really not about teams but it is about learning how to eat right and excercise.

I don't think Kristin is anything like Vicky. I just think she's a talker and likes the idea of "talking to America." Most times she's just telling us what she's thinking. No different than what we do here when we say the cousins are whiners, Kristin's a talker, Ron will never be skinny, Mandi IMO went home on purpose tonight, Mikey seems like a great kid....... Kristin is just voicing her thoughts on national television.

I haven't been watching this season much. Does it seem more manipulated to you as well?

So now how are they going to even out the teams more? The black team already has had to have 1 or 2 people sit out because they outnumbered the blue team in the past 3 challenges at least. :confused3

I hope Mikey wins it.

Ron needs to go home though. He is the albatross around the blue team's neck.

Kristin, Cathy and Ron are banking on going to singles soon. If they do, then the blue team has total control because the only original blacks will be Tara and Laura. Problem is if Aubrey wins the weigh in next week, who goes home? And what about bringing former contestants back? I think they misthought on their plan a little bit.
I like Mike the best but I think I want Tara to win just because Bob wont be able to say he really trained the winner. It would be Jillian all the way.

Got it. Mandi did not realize that she was killing her original team overall, but looks like she was done.
Ron knows the score.
So Tara has to hang in there or it will be an all Bob win.

You took the words right out of my mouth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why wasn't Kristen working out this week?????????

I'm rooting for Tara as well. I really dislike Ron. What makes him the person who decides who goes home? Who does he think he is? Plus he is still eating too much, otherwise he'd be losing more weight. I agree he will always be fat, and that is too bad for his kid, Mike. He won't have a father.

This might be the crasiest episode ever. I was so pissed at the cousins. Why didn't Filipe bring up Jillian not training him earlier in the week? I think he was glad and wanted any excuse he could find to blame Jillian. And his cousin goes with hiim. Last week they showed Jillian killing him in the gym, until he got hurt. Both lost good weight with Jillian until they had their binge. It was their fault not Jillian's. At least Sione kind of owned up to it. But I lost respect for both of them. And saying Jillian is fake? She cares so much for her players, when they treat her with respect and give 100%. Neither of them did that to her. They never gave her a chance.
More and more I'm pulling for Mike. I also would like Tara just because Jillian has been training her the whole time. I also like that she genuinely looked like she regretted what she did. I don't blame Jillian for being pissed. They really went overboard and were way too cocky. I almost think Jillian wanted Blue to win the weigh in to teach them a lesson.
I was also pissed at Ron for immediately jumping on Mandi. She's been doing great and deserves to be there. I hate these mini cliques they have on the teams. I also loved that Mandi sacrificed herself. When I saw her crying at the end I had a feeling she might go against the plan. But I think they will have to mix the teams up again soon as the blue team doesn't have enough people. Send Sione and Filipe back to their boyfriend Bob. Then Jillian can concentrate on people that want to be there.

I almost forgot my other outrage over the temper tantrum!!!

When Fillipe told Bob that the black team was all about game play and the blue team was about losing weight I almost puked!!! UM HELLO?! Bob is the puppetmaster of all the gameplay, but I guess since he is one of the puppets he doesn't see it....

I am not cheering for anyone at this point (maybe Mike a little...)
