Biggest Loser 11 Spring Team Challenge--for Losers and Maintainers

Kathy - you will never believe this - my sister brought Congo bars to my Mom's house yesterday when we all gathered to celebrate! And, now I remember what they are. Have not had them in years. I hope we are talking about the same thing. They did have chocolate in them but they looked kinda like a blondie and not a brownie. They brought all the food and the main meal was a subway platter! It was yummy. The subs were 3 inches. My first one was just ham on wheat w/veg and mustard but I got caught up in everybody pigging out and my second one was several meats, cheese and I put light mayo and oil on it:headache: Oh well, it was only a 3 inch sub so prob not too much damage. Had a small bag of chips, a congo bar and a piece of Whitman chocolate as well. Everyone else ate much more and it was tempting to do the same but I don't think I did too bad. I also had a 1/4 lb hamburger from Cook Out for lunch (YUM) but my scale showed the same this morning. I ran again yesterday morning and found out the route I'm running is 2.4 so I've done that Sat and Sun so far. Today I think I may just walk. We looked in another neighborhood yesterday that is mostly new construction on small lots. It is very tempting but DS would have to go to his 2nd choice HS. The new houses have VERY nice features and are a good deal. Decisions, decisions.......

Have discovered my cell phone is not working even though DH put in the US SIM card and loaded it with minutes. Need to call CS or go into a T-mobile store today. I need to find some time for shopping today to get some new capri pants for Summer. All of mine are so baggy:cool1:

Have a great day all:thumbsup2

Good morning all,

Beautiful here right now! May get rain tonight and tomorrow.

After I put Izzie on the bus I'm going to do the 5 mile WTP DVD and then I'll do the 3 mile with weights later today. Made my protein shake with water this morning and will be drinking lots of water all day! Also put frozen strawberries in it. Feeling like I can get back on track after a not so good week last week. I guess I'll put in today's weight which is up about 3-4 from last week but if I can get rid of it then it will be a good week.

Wrote out our meals on a board and put it on the fridge so that should keep me on track. Pulled pork paninis tonight (well, 4ish). Tomorrow we'll have cold cut paninis. These will be on whole wheat tortillas so we get the protein and fiber. Wednesday will be pulled pork again which should finish it. Thursday will be TJs orange chicken. Friday we will have shaved steak subs. Saturday is Ash's overnight b'day party so we will have Chinese food and Sunday Brian will make drumsticks (he doesn't know it yet!) We will have garlic fries tonight and Wednesday.

Izzie is ready for school. Kitchen is clean! Ready for a good workout this morning!

TTFN :tigger:

Good morning everyone! The scale and I are not friends this morning! I have been eating horribly since Thursday - so it is a low calorie/lots of H2O day for me. I should have planned better - but things spiraled out of control timewise this weekend, and when 2DDs and DH let you know they are "STARVING" and you have no dinner planned, it is too easy to hop in the car to get everyone fed quickly!!! Oh well, I am sure I can get back to my lowest by this weekend. I am hoping to lose some lbs. before vacation (mid-June), but with a weekend camping trip in 2 weeks, I feel like my schedule is sabotaging me. But no matter where the scale is before vacation, I am back on the wagon as soon as we return to lose these last 10 lbs. (well, right now it's more like 13 ) Have a great day!

Good Saturday morning Teams

I had a fun time yesterday at the museum. We had a great adventure getting to the museum. We got on the 6:40 train to the city. There were 4 of us traveling together. We got shushed from a regular commuter. That just cracked us up and that started the day.

we were going to travel uptown on the subway. One girl couldn't get her credit cards to work in the metro card machine. I got mine to work and we shared it for the ride up and back.

We got on the subway and it made a couple of stops then it took off and next thing I know we are passing 86th st. we needed to be at 77th st. We could have gotten off at 86th st but the subway was not stopping. We went all the way to 125th st when it finally stopped. we hopped on another train and made it down to the museum.

We spent really only 45 minutes in the hall of oceanic life and then the rest of the time in a classroom doing a case study and discussing how we could use this in our classroom.

we did sneak out to the store during our breaks. I brought dh and ds's some stuffed dinosaurs. I got a Albert Einstein poster for my classroom and a model of the Apollo space craft. I have been looking for one several years but the last one I saw cost 4 times as much as this one.

we did go into the musuem after class and saw a couple of things. The best thing about the day is that they gave us free passes for another day. I was able to get 6 tickets so I think we have to plan another day in the city to see the museum.

I did learn alot about something I knew nothing about. we did a case study about zebra mussels in the Hudson river. Very interesting.

Question of the Day

With so many people planning their vacations let's ask a question about a trip to Disney World

Is there one tradition that you do everytime you got to DW or DL?

With us it is a trip to see Fort Wilderness and eat at Trails End. We love the campground and the peacefulness of it.

Have a happy and healthy day.
Dona, glad you had a productive trip into the City! Even if the commuter shushed you....just jealous of your happy morning disposition right?

Traditions actually depend upon who I am with. Bri and I usually have at least one signature dining experience during our trip. Last time it was Victoria and Alberts with the wine flight  With my nephew I think we are going to make character dining before RD our tradition. I would love to make staying at the Poly a tradition but $$$$$ is a killer!

My personal tradition for all vacations is to come home with an ornament for my tree. Every Christmas I am able to relive all the wonderful places I have been

Back on EST! The scales here say I'm down 1.5 from yesterday
It may be the difference in scales or because I am dehydrated from travelling but it was NICE mentally to see that this morning. Ran about 2 miles and saw an owl, 2 geese (flying and honking), cardinals, blue jays and a hummingbird!
Shawn:cheer2:
Great to have you back in the States!!!

Hi Everyone! Im back home. Actually got back yesterday but then had to rush to get the kids and there was a mothers day treat at nick daycare to attend. Then we stopped at target for a bday present for one of ryans friends who's party is today, then we went to ryans family PTA dance last night. whew....I was beat.

The conference I went to was really good. The hilton I stayed in was nice but they didnt have a hot tub. I ended up winning a GC to olive garden and for attending one speaker we got a free ipod shuffle

I had a bad bought with food. We went to the california pizza kitchen which we dont have around here. We ordered a margharita pizza on whole wheat crust to share and a bowl of pasta with fusili, tomatoe, garlic, broccolli, and a wine sauce. Well we ended up eating the whole entire meal which was way way too much food. So even though we chose healthy meals it doesnt help when he stuff yourself until it hurts. My stomach still felt nauseated last night.

Today Ryan has tball and then his friends bday party. We then have to go shop for mom's day presents.

I am working on getting back on plan. We also got the P90X dvds. I just need to find someone to make a copy for me.

I hope you all are doing well and have a great day. I will try to catch up on more when I get home later.
Glad you are back safe and sound....so sorry about the lack of hot tub!! BUT cool about the shuffle and P90X :)

That's tough when your workout partners don't have the same commitment that you do. It sounds like Katie just isn't ready to move to the action phase. I would just make my own plans and ask if they want to join and go without them if they don't. You have to do what is right for you!

Enjoy your luncheon tomorrow. It's nice of you take everyone!
Thanks Lisa!! I have decided to just make my own plans and then if they show, they show. I don't want to curb my enthusiasm for getting fit by being disappointed in others! I'm in it to win it!

Dragonberry Rum and OJ is AWESOME!!! Having another one right now!

Bruins swept the Flyers last night! I did put my jersey on when it was tied but all went well the rest of the game! I hope this continues! Celtics play tonight and need all the help they can get! Planning on watching the Kentucky Derby this afternoon. We usually watch it!
I need to get me some Dragonberry!! Sounds so yummy! Lots of sports teams doing well! Did you get a chance to watch the derby?

There's always that perennial favorite -- the macaroni necklace!

Quiet day here. DS has a friend over from school. They are doing the vinegar/baking soda science experiment. Then I get to go see my neighbors about their WDW trip this Fall! So in case I don't get back on here

Happy Mother's Day to all!
LOL! Lisa I think my mom could open a macaroni necklace store!! We were famous for giving them to her a a few years...and now my nephew is at that age...:rolleyes1
I hope the experiment wasn't too messy...I remember a science project disaster from my middle school days....the reminder is in my parents kitchen everytime I visit!

So today was an ok day. The weather still isn't great, but I think it's on an upswing. Things are settling down around here, so that's good. Mike and I went to the Y and we did 45 minutes running in the pool. It's harder than you would think.
Wish my gym had a pool!! I hope the water running is really helping your knee!

Not much to say today. I slept in and then went to the gym with my neighbor. We also went to a place a few town over that sells fruits and veggies for much better prices than the grocery store, so I'm set with those for the week!

I peeked at the scale today and I'm am down slightly since my last weigh-in on the Wii. That is a good sign because I stress ate after my gain this week. I am hoping to go to the gym again tomorrow. I'd like to spend some time on the treadmill. My trip is just over 3 months away and I can't even walk for five minutes on it. The last time I went to WDW I think I was about 150. I did great walking around for that trip, so I'm optimistic that being 15-20 lbs lighter will be fine. I'd love to lose more, but I do have to be realistic. Still, my goal is 2 pounds lost a week. Lisa: We are staying at the Wilderness Lodge. My goal is to be able to walk/run the path from the WL to Ft. Wilderness and back at least once.

We had dinner at my sister's and brother-in-law's tonight. They made BBQ chicken. It was low in points, so perfect for me. They also boiled some carrots and I brought a salad. Definitely a good day eating-wise.

Happy Mother's Day!
Awesome job CC!! Keep on running!:yay:

Mini-Challenge for Sunday, 5/8: Exercise for at least 45 minutes.
I failed....unless you include the 45 minutes of walking to and from the buffet and lifting my fork??? I don't think that is what you had in mind

Nick's game was Awesome today. The Varsity played first and lost badly. We expected the same for the JV, but they Won 7 - 3 Nick played really well. He did get slightly injured when an opposing players stick end came through his mask and hit him in the forehead and again in the nose. He's got a couple of bruises, but was only out a few minutes then right back in the action. I can see some great improvements. DH was asked to assist with coaching today he did so well the Varsity coach has asked him to help out whenever he can He's so proud of himself and I am proud of him too.

After the game we stopped at Ben and Jerry's for ice cream for the ride home. I indulged, but only got a child's vanilla cone. I thought that was pretty good restraint

I spent a couple of hours tonight filling out the federal background check information for the new job. I was beginning to wonder if the computer would pass me a cup to pee in I sure hope that I didn't forget any details of the last 5 years of my life
YAY!! glad Nick had a good game!! Good for you at Ben and Jerrys!! Pain in the butt about the background check but in the end it seems to be such a great option for you!! Thinking about you today and the MRI...

I will catch up when I get home, but I just wanted to say......
I DID IT!!!!! I finished the everest challenge.
I will post more details when they come available but I just had to tell you I did it. And I could not have finished without the WISH boards!!
So thank you!
BUFFY WOOOOOO HOOOOOO! I am soooooo happy for you!!!!

Question of the Day

In all your life is there one special present you received?

Is there a present that a close one will always give you because of tradition?
The most special present I have ever received was a car on my 17th birthday. It was a gift from my grandpa. Mom and i were arriving back at the house after I passed my test and my mom wanted me to honk the horn and I was like...NOOO. She reached over, honked the horn and the garage door went up and POOF my car!!

To continue with the car theme, my dad gives everyone in the family windshield wiper fluid and de-icer every Christmas...after this winter in NJ he will need to give us a case of de-icer!!

AMAZING!!! :goodvibes

I kept an eye out for you but never saw you but hoped you made it though :)

Everest in the dark is addicting

-em
EM!! Congrats on your race!!! Can't wait to hear about the details!!

We have had a good day so far. Last night we watched ts3--still a sobfest even if you know what's going to happen! DS hadn't seen it yet, so he was a little emotional, too. Today we got up and went to the park. My son is NOT a morning person, so I was very nervous, but he did great. He and Mike ran 6 miles and I rode my bike. (The brakes were making a HORRENDOUS noise which stressed me out. I actually walked down the hills it was so awful. Hopefully Mike can fix it!) Anyhow, DS was wiped at the end, but said he would like to run with us on the weekends, so that's nice. We are going to do a 10k in July. I will probably end up running by myself, because I'm guessing I will still be pretty slow with the knee.

For mother's day I got a USC yard flag--which I gave DS the money to buy at Easter. He handed it to me and said Happy Mother's Day.;) Honestly, what I really want today is for everyone to get along. That is the best present. So far so good.:goodvibes

I hope everyone is having a great day.:goodvibes
I hope your day continued to be a good one with dh and ds:hug: Sending you :goodvibes as you all adjust to ds being home.

Good morning!!
Hope everyone enjoyed their weekends and mothers day.

We had a really nice weekend in Maine. We stayed right on the beach, so when I woke up yesterday, I sat out on the deck with a cup of tea and my book and listened to the waves. Then ds and i took a long walk on the beach, swam and used the hot tub before check out, went to the park with my brother, sil and niece before they left. It was a beautiful day so we decided to go up to portland and see the Seadogs minor league baseball game, and it was so fun. This is the first year, Michael actually enjoyed watching the whole game and it wasn't about the food at all. Guess he is growing up. Slugger, the team mascot came by our seats, and ds was going to go down to get a pic, but lots of younger kids got there first, so he was embarrassed and didn't go down, but Slugger had seen him start to come down, and after he saw all the kids, he climbed over the rail to michael and gave him a big hug. So cute. When we got home, we watched a movie last night, and then I went to bed with ds. A fun day. Ds made me a biopoem in school, the teacher starts some sentances and he fills them in about me. It was cute, for example he wrote "I am happy when i get my paycheck." "I give good advice about being kind", and "I would like to see my mother again" so he made my laugh, smile, and cry all in one gift. Definintely a winner.

Today is another baseball game after work. My sister will pick ds up if I can't get out of work a little early, and meet us at the park.

Karen- Congratulation on writing your book. How exciting. Sorry about your workout partners. Maybe you could change your attitude toward them, and present it as "I" am going to exercise this day and time, if they want to join you, great, if not, you are going to do it alone, and maybe that would inspire them to join you. It might be less frustrating and freeing for you, but because you tell them you are going to be doing it, it might give you the motivation to go, even if they don't. Good luck with the book.
It sounds like Maine was both fun and relaxing! I love AAA baseball! You really get into the action and I love the ticket prices ;) We have four teams in NJ and I look forward to heading to see them at least once per season :)

Thanks for the advice...yes, I need to just DO IT and if either one of them decided to join me then they do! I'm gaining most of my motivation here on the boards...just wish you all lived closer!!! The book should be an interesting process for me....I'll keep you all in the loop as it progresses!

We looked in another neighborhood yesterday that is mostly new construction on small lots. It is very tempting but DS would have to go to his 2nd choice HS. The new houses have VERY nice features and are a good deal. Decisions, decisions.......

First of all......BAGGY CLOTHES ROCK!!! Congrats! It sounds like you have some great options for houses (and high schools) so I am sending you :goodvibes that you find both! Sorry about the phone situation...mine pooped out when I was in Ireland and I ended up buying a throw away one for the trip...yes, I was lazy and would rather spend my time sampling at Guiness than dealing with the phone :lmao:

Good morning all,

Beautiful here right now! May get rain tonight and tomorrow.

After I put Izzie on the bus I'm going to do the 5 mile WTP DVD and then I'll do the 3 mile with weights later today. Rock on Tracey!!! Your organization for meals has inspired me...I better get on this in the next hour...I feel quite ADD today.

I love your determination!!!! Keep it going!!!

Happy Monday!!
Beautiful weather + work =cabin fever Karen!! So wish I could blow this popsicle stand and go for a walk! Nothing on the calendar today but tomorrow I volunteered to chaparone a trip to the beach (Sandy Hook) for the 9th grade. It looks like 70 degrees and SUN!! WOO HOO!

I've been off my plan for the weekend (yes, I did drive the wagon off the road) but I am back on pavement today. Spent most of Saturday shopping with mom and doing laundry but mom and I got almost 2 miles in on Saturday night. I showed her how to use Runkeeper on her iphone and now she wants dad to join her in the walks....I think she just likes the GPS feature! Sunday was nice too! I took my mom, godmother, dad, and godfather to a 2pm brunch/dinner and then we went back to my parents house to chat. My godparents are MAJOR Disney fans so we had a great deal to talk about. My godmother is retiring next year and they will be moving down to Orlando later that year. Their daughter already moved down there last summer. Place for me to stay!!!!

Anyway, I'm trying to finish my book club books for next week, still look for a summer job and get together a game plan for next weekend...my second 5K on Saturday :thumbsup2

Make great choices today!

Karen- The Derby was so excited! We picked Animal Kingdom to win so that was really cool especially how he came from way in the back to win!

I did my 5 miles WATP and am planning in going down to do more this afternoon around 2. Catching up on some shows on the TIVO. We are hooked on Camelot and I fell asleep the other night during it so I just finished watching it. Got a lot of Royal Wedding stuff to watch so we can get it off the TIVO in the bedroom.

Getting the living room back in shape for the week and I'll do the dining room yet again.

I've decided that when I need a snack today I'm going to eat some Cinnamon swirl Cheerios. Calorie wise it's not bad and the fiber is good. I'm having my first cup of team right now and just about finished my first bottle of water.

May you all have a pleasant day! Hope the weather is good for all of you! It's beautiful here though I have a lot to do inside. I told Izzie we would make some cookies this afternoon.

Running Everest was fun sometimes frustrating but glad I did it..

The run went well until the final obstacle where I wish they would've yelled the options before I was halfway (and then stuck) up the ropes waiting for the people in front of me to very slowly go over and the people behind me which added several min to my time :( But had an amazing time still so can't complain..

Scavenger hunt was tolerable.. Amazed how spread out it was over the park and frustrated how when you got to the end the answers really didnt matter.. Oh well- know that for next time

Ended up 17th out of 145 for Solo Women- so amazed (and yet if I knew how well I did I wouldve tried that much harder..)

Onward to training for the DLR Half

Great News:cool1::cool1:There is no sign of Tumor Regrowth:cool1::cool1:

Phew what a relief. The neurologist suspects ADD so we are goint to try him on meds and see if that makes a difference.

I also gave my notice at my current employer. They have declined having me work any notice so I'm done. I suppose that it shouldn't surprise me given their track record.

I did stop by the potential job today and had the finger printing done and have completed all the early paperwork. Fingers crossed that I will have a start date in the next couple of weeks.

So that is my stress relief for the day. Thanks for all the prayers, they seem to be working.

I'll let you guys know how Hunter's appt turns out just as soon as we know. Hopefully we'll all know by lunchtime tomorrow.

I am only thinking good thoughts Deb. Let us know once you here. Prayers Prayers Prayers coming your way.

We had a really nice weekend in Maine. :)

sounds like a wonderful way to spend mothers day weekend. I loved the story of michael and the mascot. How fun!!!! The gift from michael is priceless...could you even ask for anything more.

I need to find some time for shopping today to get some new capri pants for Summer. All of mine are so baggy:cool1:

Have a great day all:thumbsup2

Shawnprincess:

Horray for baggy clothes. Have fun shopping and i hope you get the cell working soon.

Wow that is awesome! Great job.

*********************************************************

Its back to work monday for me. It is sunny and in the 70's so I agree with Karen....major cabin fever here too. I am trying to focus since I have so much catch up work to do from being at my conference last week. Tonight we have no plans so I will try to get a run in, and clean up a bit from the weekend.

Have a nice day.

Oh and HAPPY NURSES WEEK to Kathy and any other Nurses we may have on here! Thanks for all you do!

Is it possible I am really a week behind? I was out of the office two days last week and when I was in I was swamped. Sorry about that!

Tuesday's QOTD - With less than 3 weeks left in the challenge, is there anything that you plan on doing differently with the time we have left to end the challenge on a high note?

I plan on making sure I do all my planned workouts. I'm also being fairly religious aboue tracking my food and activity points. It seems to be helping tremendously!

Wednesday's QOTD - Since this challenge is almost over and it sounds like tentative dates have been set for the summer challenge, will you be joining us for the summer challenge and have you given any thought to what you'd like to do differently for the next challenge, if anything?

Why yes, I'll be joining and coaching (yep, the dwarves are comin' back, Baby! :rotfl: I promise to come up with a new spin for them this time). I'm going to do a better job keeping up  I sort of stopped posting here, and I miss it.

Thursday's QOTD - Since today is Cinco De Mayo, do you have any special plans for celebrating?

Nope, nothing special. Wished for a margarita, but not willing to consume so close to weigh-in! ::yes::

Question of the Day

Do you have any vacation plans for this summer?

Well, we don't have any official plans as a family. My niece is coming from FL for a week, so we will take the kids to local sights, the beach, Water Country, the Harbor Islands, etc. We're also doing a Half in Rhode Island in August, so there will be an overnight there first. I'm still sort of hoping to squeeze something out of dh for the last week of August, but I think it will be "Staycation", where we sleep at home but do local trips during the day. My dh said we can sit on our new brick steps (that's where my summer vacation budget is going), and be grateful no one is getting injured :rotfl2: We have to replace two levels of brick steps, and it is not exactly budget-friendly...

Question of the Day

With so many people planning their vacations let's ask a question about a trip to Disney World

Is there one tradition that you do everytime you got to DW or DL?

A trip to DTD to buy a Belle ornament at the Christmas shop! My tree is quite "Bellecentric" -- but that's just the way it is princess:

Question of the Day

In all your life is there one special present you received?

Is there a present that a close one will always give you because of tradition?

One of my favorites when I was a child was a Betsy Ross Avon figurine. We have a photo of me opening the box on Christmas morning.

We spent our first anniversary in Hannibal, MO, and we went to the Unsinkable Molly Brown Dinner theater. I didn't know what I was booking, and we were the youngest people there by a mile. Anyway, the Molly Brown character is working the room, singing various songs as she goes. She gets to dh, and starts to belt out, "Who's Sorry Now". Um, we were. So the dessert was strawberry shortcake. Which is lovely, but I wanted chocolate! The only chocolate dh could find at that time of night was a package of Rolos. So, now whenever we go somewhere or it's a special occasion (or he forgets something important), I get "Special Occasion Rolos". I've had many "Special Anniversary Rolos", "Special I didn't realize I booked us into a dump hotel Rolos", "Special I forgot you were at home instead of work Rolos", it's actually kind of a couple thing just for us. :lovestruc

WooHoo!!!! Great job Em!!!!!!
I tried to look for you but it was crazy!!

The details on my race.
DS and I were in Wave 3 which I was thrilled about. I was so worried that we would be in the back. This bought me a little time since they closed the course at 10. Our wave took off at 8:40. The energy was amazing! The first mile was in the parking lot and had one obstacle, hay bales. At first I was stepping on them to get over but they were really soft. Hay bales are not the same in the south as they are in the north! So the last 2 I hurdled, and did ok. Snapped a pic of mile 1 marker.
About 1/2 way I was getting a pretty bad stitch in my side so we slowed down a little. The second obstacle was tires. These were the ones I was worried about the most. I didn't want to fall so I walked them.
About mile 2 I wanted to quit. But then I saw my new friend Heather who was in wave 1, she was headed in the opposite direction headed back into the park from the service road. She said it wasn't much further til we turned back, so that really motivated me!
Something else that motivated me was the fact that as we ran across to bridge in Asia towards the front of the park, I saw runners still coming over the bridge to Africa. I was certain I was going to be swept so that really helped spur me on.
Mile 3 was actually the easiest. I was slow, I jogged because if I walked my shins burned but walkers were passing me. But I managed to slow my mind down and the next thing I knew we saw flashing lights, we were back in the parking lot!!! Big cheers from all the runners at that point.
the last challenge was the cargo net climb. UGH. I had thought about skipping it but I decided that I did the other ones so I was doing this one too. It was tough but I got through it and DS was waiting right there for me.
We ran through the chute/ finish line and I glanced at the clock.
It said 58 minutes, I was like what. That meant that Wave 1 left 58 minutes ago, which mean we left 48 minutes ago. I didn't think that was right but I didn't have time to think about it. We got our first clue and our light and sharpie.
Clue one was so easy we got it right away. The problem was figuring out where to go. We went passed the oasis so we had to back track. It was kind of chaotic but we got our second clue.
The second clue was sooooo stupid and hard!! People were getting angry and fast. We found help, solved it and ran to Camp Minnie Mickey for the 3rd clue. This is where I got ticked! People were so confused that the man that was supposed to hand out the 3rd clue didn't because he was to busy helping other people solve the clue. I got a little snippy and it got his attention. Not my finest moment I tell you.
As soon as I handed DS the clue he got it, it was stretched letters.
Off to Harambe for the fourth clue. Again, solved it right away so we booked it to Asia for the last clue. It turned out to be a combination of the first 4 clues, solved it really easily. We booked it to the finish line which was right before the Everest Fast passes. They asked us the answer to the final clue which I shouted as we ran to the finish line.
We made it!!! The clock said something like 1:34: and change. Which means we ran it all in something like 1:24. We got our medals, which are awesome!!!!! Picked up powerade, which is nasty!!!! Bananas and water.
I called hubby, texted BFF and rested.
We went over to Restaurantosaurus to get our bag, found Heather again. Rode Dinosaur (didn't care for it), said good bye to Heather, rode Everest twice, then headed back to the room. We were exhausted and hurting.

so stats:
We placed 617 out of 785 for the co-ed teams
Race time - 46:24; hunt time - 38:04; total time - 1:24:28

Pace time: 14:91 minutes per mile!!

My race time was exactly 2 minutes better then my treadmill time!!!!

I'm so proud of myself for not quitting. I was close to not going at all. I'm really glad that I went.
DS and I had a great time together.

And the best part? I got the meet pjlla and her DD. They are just as amazing in person as they are on the boards!! DS and her DD got along famously and are ride buddies from now on! Thanks Pamela for letting us hang with you!! MGM really helped keep my mind off the race.

ETA: and I'm down 2 pounds from the time I left!!!

So excited for Hunter and you/your family Deb! :)

WTG Buffy!! :cool1:

Today turned out to be a not so bad day. I did use a lot of my weeklies, but I still have almost half of them for the rest of my week. I'm calling that a positive. I also did better than 4:40 miles on the recumbent bike today. I did 7.66 miles in 35 minutes, which included cool down. I'm calling that a positive too! :cool1:

I'd love to go to the gym again tomorrow, but I don't know how well that will fit into my schedule. My neighbor and I are planning to go again on Wed. night.

Well, I am (of course ;)) exhausted so I'm going to post tomorrow's mini-challenge and then hit the sack.

Night!

Mini-Challenge for Tuesday, 5/10: Have a protein-packed day. (Have an extra serving of protein.)

YEAH for Deb and Hunter!!! Glad to hear some good news!!!!

Watching the Celtics game with Brian. It feels so much later than 9 right now!

I got in 7 miles of WATP today. I plan on doing a 4 mile walk in the morning. I have to go to work and I found out my boss won't be coming in as one of her kids is sick so I will be there by myself from 9-12:20 when my co-worker comes in. I have to run and pick up Lego Pirates of the Caribbean tomorrow. Can't wait to play it! Probably won't get to start it until Wed or Thurs night. BUT I GET TO PLAY IT FIRST!!!!

Ash and I need to do shopping for her birthday party one night this week or Saturday afternoon. Tomorrow is 2 soccer practices and Hip Hop for Ash. Wednesday is a playdate for Izzie and dancing for her! Girls also get their costumes this week! We love seeing the new costumes and watch them dance in them.

Ash is wanting Mommy and Ashleigh time so I promised her I would pick her up tomorrow. We tried to watch something in the bedroom together but Izzie came in so Ash wasn't happy! Puberty is a funny thing! She's getting all clingy again. We don't get much time just the two of us so I know what this is about. Izzie keeps waking up early so we don't get our morning time anymore.

Well, time to finish my water and then make sure everything is set for tomorrow.

Don't forget those weigh ins! I will post results tomorrow night! Only have 13 so far!!!!!! You have until 7pm tomorrow to get them in!!!!!

TTFN :tigger:

I had a nice mother's day. Breakfast in bed, Colby made me a picture frame and sanded a bunch of river shells to decorate it. Hunter made pizza and garlic bread for dinner. Chris and I got a lot of house cleaning done, deep cleaning. I picked up groceries and I'm finishing up the camper bedding as I type this.

I'm hoping to start the new job by the end of the month, but it really depends on how long the background check takes. Benefits will start immediately and I've sorted through all of the plans that we could go with and think I've found the best one for our family and it is a fraction of the what I'm paying at my current job and much better coverage.

Glad you had a nice Mother's Day. Breakfast in bed sounds wonderful. That is great that the insurance starts right away. Sounds like things are going in the right direction!

Sue-Sounds like you had a really nice weekend. Cheesecake factory is so good, and I don't think I've been to the Wild Horse in over 10 years. One of those pre kid places. I remember the martinis were so fun. Are you looking for a different house in town?

Oh, love the mother's day gift  so cute! Sounds like Maine was great. It was funny here, really nice early then a cold spell passed around 11. Was it warmer in Maine?

I'd like to stay in Danvers, so we'll see. DH is used to his parents who have a neighbor 1 mile down the road :scared1: but that's not happening anywhere in Danvers so hopefully we can find something that's in Danvers and a good compromise ;)

Glad that Izzie is feeling better :goodvibes

Running Everest was fun sometimes frustrating but glad I did it..

Sounds like it was fun. I swear doing a race in Disney is probably the only way I'd ever get motivated enough to run :rotfl:

Yahoo :woohoo: Go Hunter go :cool1: I'm so happy to hear all the good news.

Why yes, I'll be joining and coaching (yep, the dwarves are comin' back, Baby! :rotfl: I promise to come up with a new spin for them this time). I'm going to do a better job keeping up  I sort of stopped posting here, and I miss it.

:lovestruc

Glad that you'll be back. The Rolos story is too cute :lovestruc

Nice pic! Sounds like you had a nice time and got to meet some nice DISers.

It's been a roller coaster ride for me today. I am elated that Hunter is healthy :cool1: Excited about the prospec of a new job. Disappointed that I had to give notice that the other job, frustrated that the menus I printed last week for the Restaurant have errors (due to computer issues). Tomorrow is a new day with great new opportunities :goodvibes

Good Tuesday morning everyone.

Congrats Deb on the great news about Hunter. What a relief.

B&B congrats on the race. You finished and for now that it the important part.

To everyone else Hello I only have a couple of minutes this morning since I slept in by 15 minutes.

Question of the Day

Can you name one thing that has helped you on this journey?

Have a happy and healthy day.

QOTD: Can't think of just one thing except maybe WATER! I also really needed my Wii and Leslie Sansone and Biggest Loser! And for my last 15 pounds, Herbalife! It really helped me and I enjoy the shakes and aloe!

Just finished the LS 4 Fast Miles! Left knee started aching at the end so I put some stuff on it. Hoping to walk at the track tonight during soccer.

Picking up Ash at the end of the day so we can have some extra time together. Going to pick up Lego POTC that I pre-ordered. Went through our old Wii games that never get played and am trading them in for the game. I also need some OJ and more mint chocolate chip ice cream! I had to share with Ash last night!LOL!

Loaded up my ipod with the latest podcasts so I can listen to those at work while I fold sheets and wait for my client. I'll probably also make a list of the weigh ins so it will go quicker tonight! We're at 17 right now! You have until 7pm to get them in so please send it in!

I'll be having a shake for b'fast and a protein bar for lunch. I will also take a bowl of cinnamon Cheerios to have when I'm hungry. I'll have a cold cut panini for supper tonight.

Guess I'll go get Ash up and get the laundry to fold so that's out of the way.

Have a magical day!

TTFN :tigger:
