Biggest Loser 11 Spring Team Challenge--for Losers and Maintainers

2 people declined showings so I looked at 15 houses today instead of 17. There were only 2 I didn't like! My realtor says I need to get it down to a list of top 10 and then we will go back. My favorite one was the most expensive and is perfect in every way except it is on a busy street. I'm not real familiar with that street so I am going to stalk it out the next several days to see how busy it is. I think I may regret it if I buy on that street so I need to be smart.

Did very well with eating today except for my one "indulge" meal. I had cereal for breakfast, snacks throughout the day--Luna Bar, banana, blackberries, granola bar and then the indulge meal at 4:30 was buffalo chicken tenders with BC dressing and a salad with balsamic dressing. So yummy!!! I ate every bite of all of it. Just finished a pineapple chobani yogurt. At first I was like "What's the big deal?" and then I saw the fruit was on the bottom and not mixed in yet:headache: After I mixed in the fruit, it was delicious. I thought it was pricey though and 160 calories! Our grocery had plenty of them but they also had a sign saying there would be intermittent delivery problems with Chobani.

Question of the Day

With so many people planning their vacations let's ask a question about a trip to Disney World

Is there one tradition that you do everytime you got to DW or DL?

I think I'm one of the few people on the DIS boards who rarely goes to Disney. We haven't been since 2006. I guess we switched over to Disney cruises. One tradition we have on the cruises is that we always order the cheese platter from Room Service close to daily and DS always orders a bedtime snack of either cookies and milk or an uncrustable and milk. Room service is FREE except it's customary to tip a dollar each time you order.

I ended up winning a GC to olive garden and for attending one speaker we got a free ipod shuffle.:woohoo:

I am working on getting back on plan. We also got the P90X dvds. I just need to find someone to make a copy for me.

:cool1: on the Ipod shuffle and P90X. You're in great shape so I can't wait to hear how you do with them. Glad the conference was good except for the food part:goodvibes

Yesterday I was right at maintain and today I am over. Lack of exercise and stress eating will do that to you.

I really admire the maintainers and hope one day to join you. It takes such diligence to keep it off. I am really proud of you ! You are such an inspiration!

I got up and motivated, and cleaned my whole house. We're heading up to maine after michaels baseball game for the night, and I hate to come home to a dirty house, so I'm happy.

:cool1: for a clean house!!!!!!!!!!!! Maine sounds so exotic and far away but I guess it's pretty close to where you are if you can go for the day - enjoy!

Congo bars sound exotic. I probably don't need to know what they are:lmao:

I've heard it's pretty commom for Moms to wear PJS to drop kids off and I must be naive, I was shocked:scared1: My friend posted it on FB and everyone joined in saying they did it too. Atleast you put on a sweatshirt;)

Mini-Challenge for Sat., 5/7: Floss your teeth today.

YIKES! I don't think I packed any. I'll buy some tomorrow and floss twice:goodvibes

Yesteday I started bringing in bedding from the camper to get it all washed up before the season starts. I've got 3 beds done and only have the extra bedding that we store under the dinette benches to go.

Tomorrow I want to continue cleaning the house, I really need to deep clean the bathroom and kitchen. I'm hoping that getting things organized at home will help me feel a little less out of control in other areas of life. That's the plan anyway:lmao:

You stay so busy. I agree I feel much more in control when everything at home is taken care of.

I have 3 full weeks off this summer...1 in june, 1 in july, and 1 in aug. I have absolutely nothing planned. Im pretty bummed about it but we are trying to recover financially from a few things that hit us a couple of years ago and I feel like if we can just do small things for the next two years we may actually start to get ahead again. I am just going to enjoy being home with my kiddo's.

You are so smart to do this. The kids will have an awesome time spending it with you and you can find tons of fun stuff to do locally that won't cost so much. Your family's financial security is much more important than any trip.

Quiet day here. DS has a friend over from school. They are doing the vinegar/baking soda science experiment.:scared:

Yikes! Hope they did the clean-up too:goodvibes Happy Mother's Day to you too!

Tomorrow I am going to ask to go for a bike ride for Mother's Day. DS can ride Mike's bike and Mike can run. I don't know how that is going to go over, but I'm going to ask.
Sounds fun:goodvibes Happy Mother's Day to you too!

****************************************************
Tee Hee, my parents are watching Lawrence Welk upstairs and I can hear it all the way downstairs. I wish we could just move in here for awhile until we find the house we want but they are in a different HS zone than ours. My parents live in a split level but they basically only use the top level. The lower level has 2 bedrooms, full bathroom and huge den.

I have to shop for a MD gift tomorrow-any suggestions? I am almost giddy with the thought of store being open for Sunday shopping since we don't have that in Germany!

Hope you all have a Happy Mother's Day! My Mom asked me to go to breakfast and special program for ladies at church tomorrow. I really don't want to go and I don't have any clothes to wear but I feel like I should go, ugh. I guess I'll see how I feel in the morning.

Shawn:flower3:

Not much to say today. I slept in and then went to the gym with my neighbor. We also went to a place a few town over that sells fruits and veggies for much better prices than the grocery store, so I'm set with those for the week!

I peeked at the scale today and I'm am down slightly since my last weigh-in on the Wii. That is a good sign because I stress ate after my gain this week. I am hoping to go to the gym again tomorrow. I'd like to spend some time on the treadmill. My trip is just over 3 months away and I can't even walk for five minutes on it. The last time I went to WDW I think I was about 150. I did great walking around for that trip, so I'm optimistic that being 15-20 lbs lighter will be fine. I'd love to lose more, but I do have to be realistic. Still, my goal is 2 pounds lost a week. Lisa: We are staying at the Wilderness Lodge. My goal is to be able to walk/run the path from the WL to Ft. Wilderness and back at least once.

We had dinner at my sister's and brother-in-law's tonight. They made BBQ chicken. It was low in points, so perfect for me. They also boiled some carrots and I brought a salad. Definitely a good day eating-wise.

Happy Mother's Day!

Mini-Challenge for Sunday, 5/8: Exercise for at least 45 minutes.

So today was an ok day.:goodvibes The weather still isn't great, but I think it's on an upswing. Things are settling down around here, so that's good. Mike and I went to the Y and we did 45 minutes running in the pool. It's harder than you would think.

Tomorrow I am going to ask to go for a bike ride for Mother's Day. DS can ride Mike's bike and Mike can run. I don't know how that is going to go over, but I'm going to ask.

Since the weather wasn't so great, we did some planning for our trip. I think we might get an owner's locker. I'm still not sure, but leaning towards it. We had kind of talked about going to Disney less, but since the g-f issues, it is a nice place to go and not worry about food for a few days. Eating out really isn't a lot of fun anymore. So we looked at that and what we want to order from garden grocer. I showed DS the star wars weekend stuff and he is kind of excited. I think the summer is going to be ok. Last night was not ok. It was pretty cruddy, but today was better.

I hope everyone has a great Mother's Day.:goodvibes

Running in the pool is fabulous exercise. You can mix it up with a x country skiing stance instead of the runner stance. If your pool offers the foam dumbells you can use those in your hands and push down in the water while running for an intense upper body workout at the same time. :goodvibes Let me know if you need any pointers

Nick's game was Awesome today. The Varsity played first and lost badly. We expected the same for the JV, but they Won 7 - 3 :goodvibes Nick played really well. He did get slightly injured when an opposing players stick end came through his mask and hit him in the forehead and again in the nose. He's got a couple of bruises, but was only out a few minutes then right back in the action. I can see some great improvements. DH was asked to assist with coaching today he did so well the Varsity coach has asked him to help out whenever he can :goodvibes He's so proud of himself and I am proud of him too.

After the game we stopped at Ben and Jerry's for ice cream for the ride home. I indulged, but only got a child's vanilla cone. I thought that was pretty good restraint ;)

I spent a couple of hours tonight filling out the federal background check information for the new job. I was beginning to wonder if the computer would pass me a cup to pee in  I sure hope that I didn't forget any details of the last 5 years of my life:headache:

I will catch up when I get home, but I just wanted to say......
I DID IT!!!!! I finished the everest challenge.
I will post more details when they come available but I just had to tell you I did it. And I could not have finished without the WISH boards!!
So thank you!

Good SUnday morning Teams

Happy Mother's Day

For the last few Mother's Days my dh and I would split up. I would get up early and drive north to see my mother and he would go to church and then drive south to see his mother. I would get up to my dm's early enough to go to church with my parents and one of my sisters. The priest has been the same the last few years and he always read the following passage. It is not from the bible but from a columnist that was very popular from the 80's and 90's Erma Bombeck. For those who don't know Erma, she has a column in many newspapers that appeared at least 4 times a week. Her column was about life as she saw it. She died of kidney disease in 1996 or 1997. Many people I know would cut out a funny column from her and hang it on their refrigerator.

If you are a mother or not this column will bring a tear to your eye.

When God Created Mothers
by Erma Bombeck

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Note from Joe: I often used the hilarious columns of the late great Erma Bombeck in my homilies. She was a very funny lady, a gifted writer, and a devout Catholic. The following column was her Mother’s Day column for May 12, 1974. It was so good that I just used it as-is. Erma, we miss you!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When the Good Lord was creating mothers, He was into his sixth day of “overtime” when an angel appeared and said, “You’re doing a lot of fiddling around on this one.”

And the Lord said, “Have you read the specs on this order?

She has to be completely washable, but not plastic;
Have 180 movable parts... all replaceable;
Run on black coffee and leftovers;
Have a lap that disappears when she stands up;
A kiss that can cure anything from a broken leg to a disappointed love affair;
And six pairs of hands.”
The angel shook her head slowly and said, “Six pairs of hands... no way.”
“It’s not the hands that are causing me problems,” said the Lord. “It’s the three pairs of eyes that mothers have to have.”

“That’s on the standard model?” asked the angel.

The Lord nodded. “One pair that sees through closed doors when she asks, ’What are you kids doing in there?’ when she already knows. Another here in the back of her head that sees what she shouldn’t but what she has to know, and of course the ones here in front that can look at a child when he goofs up and say, ’I understand and I love you’ without so much as uttering a word.”

“Lord,” said the angel, touching His sleeve gently, “Go to bed. Tomorrow...”

“I can’t,” said the Lord, “I’m so close to creating something so close to myself. Already I have one who heals herself when she is sick... can feed a family of six on one pound of hamburger... and can get a nine-year-old to stand under a shower.”

The angel circled the model of a mother very slowly. “It’s too soft,” she sighed.

“But she’s tough!” said the Lord excitedly. “You cannot imagine what this mother can do or endure.”

“Can it think?”

“Not only can it think, but it can reason and compromise,” said the Creator.

Finally, the angel bent over and ran her finger across the cheek. “There’s a leak,” she pronounced. “I told You You were trying to push too much into this model.”

“It’s not a leak,” said the Lord. “It’s a tear.”

“What’s it for?”

“It’s for joy, sadness, disappointment, pain, loneliness, and pride.”

“You are a genius,” said the angel.

The Lord looked somber. “I didn’t put it there,” He said.

It plans to be a quiet day for me. I visited with my parents the other day when I took them to Pa so I get to stay home.

We went yesterday to mow dfil's lawn and visited with dmil so dh doesn't have to go anywhere either.

I got some flowers and my present from ds's is coming in the mail this week. It is for my birthday at the end of the month also. I am getting a table for my sewing machine so I can do machine quilting.

Since I have no plans I may work in the basement on my sewing machine and get somethings done.

Question of the Day

In all your life is there one special present you received?

Is there a present that a close one will always give you because of tradition?

My special present was for my 24th wedding anniversary. I woke up and there were 24 roses in my dining room and 24 ballons in my living room. Over the course of the day there were other presents. There were a total of 24 presents over the course of the day. The boys went to the movies and we had dinner at the house and over dinner he gave me a Lennox heart that said "Happy 25th Anniversary" when I opened it there was a note inside "Will you marry me again next year"

Each year for Christmas I get a pair of socks from dh. When we met we were sophomores in college with not a lot of money. Dh needed socks so I gave them to him for Christmas. One of my sisters complained that it was too personal of a gift.

Have a happy and healthy day.

Happy Mother's Day to all you Mom's out there!

Mine is not starting out as planned! Awake before 6 for some unknown reason. Heard Izzie in the bathroom and then heard the sound none of us like, especially on Mother's Day. Yup, you guessed it, Izzie was sick! So, there goes my time alone this afternoon when she was to go to a b'day party. There went sleeping late! We're cuddling on the couch right now watching Dr. Who. I have a feeling this won't be a one time thing as she doesn't even want water.

Oh well! I hope to exercise sometime today as I really need to get back with it. I may do the Wii. Pork turned out great again in the crock pot. I will still send Brian out for take out today.

Have a good day! The whining is starting so I had better go!

glad things are settling both with Tom being home and the weather. I hope you get the bike ride your wanting today. Happy Mothers Day!

I loved that, thanks so much for sharing.

Question of the Day

In all your life is there one special present you received?

Dona- Your anniversary present was so romantic.

My favorite was my engagement ring. Dh proposed on xmas and had it wrapped in a big huge box to fool me. That was a great christmas!

Mine is not starting out as planned! Awake before 6 for some unknown reason. Heard Izzie in the bathroom and then heard the sound none of us like, especially on Mother's Day. Yup, you guessed it, Izzie was sick!

I hope she is feeling better soon. Poor thing.

Happy Mothers Day to all of the Mommies!!!! You all are amazing women enjoy the day and spend it with those you love!

I got a beautiful picture of my boys in a frame and a nice card from them too. Hopefully they will be on their best behavior today so we have a calm and peaceful day. Thats all I asked for.;)

We will head to my MIL's in a little and then go over to my nana's where my family will be. We are also celebrating my cousin's bday today to. It is suppose to be sunny and 70 so it should be a really great day.

Got an Amazon gift card and an iTunes gift card from the family. Ash just made cinnamon rolls for breakfast. Izzie is still not feeling well. I guess the tummy bug has finally hit our house. We avoided it for soooo long! I guess out luck ran out. Watching Dr. Who from last night with the kids. I think Izzie wants to fall asleep so I better go snuggle with her. Not sure what the rest of the day will be like.

We have had a good day so far. Last night we watched ts3--still a sobfest even if you know what's going to happen! DS hadn't seen it yet, so he was a little emotional, too. Today we got up and went to the park. My son is NOT a morning person, so I was very nervous, but he did great. He and Mike ran 6 miles and I rode my bike. (The brakes were making a HORRENDOUS noise which stressed me out. I actually walked down the hills it was so awful. Hopefully Mike can fix it!) Anyhow, DS was wiped at the end, but said he would like to run with us on the weekends, so that's nice. We are going to do a 10k in July. I will probably end up running by myself, because I'm guessing I will still be pretty slow with the knee.

For mother's day I got a USC yard flag--which I gave DS the money to buy at Easter. He handed it to me and said Happy Mother's Day.;) Honestly, what I really want today is for everyone to get along. That is the best present. So far so good.:goodvibes

I hope everyone is having a great day.:goodvibes

So, I took a nice 2hour or so nap! Brian went out to get me some clam strips and onion rings. It's something I don't eat much but wanted something different today. Made margaritas while he was gone. Watching a Eureka marathon now. Looking forward to the finale of Amazing Race tonight. Kids want to play Ratuki, a new card game that I bought the other day. I went out and bought some mint chocolate chip ice cream (slow churned). I've wanted it all day!

Hope everyone is having a nice day!

Lizzie has been fine since about 11. She's eaten and been jumping around. We played Lego Star Wars for awhile before lunch. Not really planning on supper. We have lots of pulled pork if anyone is hungry!

TTFN :tigger:

PS Where are the weigh ins? Only gotten 8 so far!

Mini-Challenge for Monday, 5/9: Eat all home-cooked/prepared meals.

I am so very happy for you.:goodvibes

I hope the rest of your day was filled with joy and peace. Im so glad you had a great family run/bike ride. I had to laugh at the flag that you paid for was your gift.:lmao: I think its the thought though, he could have given that too you when he got home and not given you anything today right???:rotfl:

We are home and just about ready for bed. It was a long day of really doing nothing but still I am tired. I just really enjoyed a simple day with my boys and my family. This is what life is all about:thumbsup2

Ugh I just lost a huge post twice :headache: What is with these boards at night? Good thing I saved it into word the 2nd time before previewing.

The conference I went to was really good. The hilton I stayed in was nice but they didnt have a hot tub. I ended up winning a GC to olive garden and for attending one speaker we got a free ipod shuffle.:woohoo:

I am working on getting back on plan. We also got the P90X dvds. I just need to find someone to make a copy for me.

I got an ipod shuffle for Mother's Day, now we can be twins.

You'll have to let me know how you like the P90x dvds.

His MRI is at 8:10 and we get the results from the Neurologist at 9:30. I am as confident as I can be that it is not another tumor (and if I keep telling myself then it can't be...right?)

They say positive thinking is the secret. I will say a prayer for you tomorrow morning and please let us know how it goes

Sue, glad you were able to enjoy the good weather in your neck of the woods. Work will slow down a bit before the end of the year. It's good to be busy -- I have overhead to cover! It isn't work that is so much the stress for me right now as much as it is BIL's cancer treatment and DS' aunt's hospitalization. Fortunately BIL's first week went well -- only six to go. Aunt is okay -- she is 90 and has been in a nursing home unable to walk and losing her lucidity for over a year. If she doesn't make it, it may be for the best. :flower3:

The end of the year, wow and I thought tax season was long :scared1:

Hope everything goes well for your BIL and I understand about your aunt. Sometimes it's better for everyone. It must be so frustrating for her too

Dragonberry Rum and OJ is AWESOME!!! Having another one right now!

Traditions at Disney include Soarin' dash and breakfast at Sunshine Seasons...I always have a margarita in Mexico and the Welsh Dragon in UK! We have enjoyed doing Kim Possible the last few times as well.

I  OJ so that could make it even better.

The Welsh Dragon is on my list of drinks to try in Dec. 2012. Is it weird that it has creme de menthe in it with all those fruity tastes?

Nice plans Are you staying at Disney's resort in HH? We went last May. What NCL ship? I've been on NCL twice and love their freestyle dining approach. They have the BEST drink. Non-alcoholic (I know right ) I think it's called Chariots of Fire, and it's orange juice, sprite and grenadine. I tried making them at home, but it just never tasted the same. I don't know if it was the brand of oj or the ratios, but I think I had at least 3 a day on the cruise
My parents own a 3 bedroom duplex. We stay there. Last year we had Mickey Bars at the Disney resort. Kids want to do a day at Disney so we can use their fun pool at the beach!

We are going on the Dawn – Boston to Bermuda I have saved that drink in my cruise file!
We have 19 going on the cruise. Can we request to be seated the same time each night together? My Mom really wants us to eat together!

I loved the beach pool there too. When DS gets a little older and can enjoy some of the activities we'll definitely go back.

I did the same cruise on the NCL Majesty. It was an old boat that I think is out of commission now. I sailed on the NCL Pearl which is probably closer and that was really nice. We only had 6 people in our group, so I'm not sure how 19 will be. They may have to break you up depending on which restaurant you go to. I would imagine the main dining rooms would be your best bet. Enjoy your cruise and have a Chariots of Fire for me popcorn::

I have to shop for a MD gift tomorrow-any suggestions? I am almost giddy with the thought of store being open for Sunday shopping since we don't have that in Germany!

I had to smile when I read this. When we were in Zurich we walked about 30 minutes to the closest mall since we had no plans and were wondering why nothing was open. We lucked out and found a restaurant serving brunch and were able to get a couple of seats at the bar.

I spent a couple of hours tonight filling out the federal background check information for the new job. I was beginning to wonder if the computer would pass me a cup to pee in  I sure hope that I didn't forget any details of the last 5 years of my life:headache:

Hope everything goes smoothly. How soon do you think you'll be able to start the new job? Does their insurance coverage start right away for you?

I will catch up when I get home, but I just wanted to say......
I DID IT!!!!! I finished the everest challenge.
I will post more details when they come available but I just had to tell you I did it. And I could not have finished without the WISH boards!!
So thank you!

Sweet! You go :cool1: That's an amazing accomplishment!

Question of the Day

In all your life is there one special present you received?

Is there a present that a close one will always give you because of tradition?

I swear my brain just doesn't think as quickly as it did before I had my DS. I'm sure there are plenty, but for now I'd have to say the diamond earrings that my mother and father got me for college graduation. My parents never really had money so it was a total surprise and what I've always wanted. I miss my dad

Another gift which is a tradition is that my DH buys me one red rose for every year that we've been married for our anniversary. It's very cute :lovestruc

Oh and I'd have to say my Easter basket this year. We weren't supposed to do anything for each other so it was a complete surprise and full of lots of things that I love.

Who. Oh no, hope Izzie is feeling better!

I second that!

For mother's day I got a USC yard flag--which I gave DS the money to buy at Easter. He handed it to me and said Happy Mother's Day.;) Honestly, what I really want today is for everyone to get along. That is the best present. So far so good.:goodvibes

Hi Rose, hope everyone got along for the rest of the day. Are both of your sons home for the summer?

Hi everyone! Happy Mother's Day :flower3: We had a great weekend. Yesterday was date afternoon/night and DH and I went to see Thor at the IMAX, then Rio and then had dinner at the Wild Horse Cafe. So yummy popcorn:: This morning DH let me sleep in until about 8:30 and he took DS upstairs to play. Then we went to the Cheesecake Factory for brunch. After that we did some shopping and then spruced up the house so we can list it for sale. I don't know if it'll sell or if we'll find something we both love, but we're getting it ready anyway. Well, I was going to do a little work but now I'm pooped. Time to wrap up and get ready for bed. Enjoy the rest of your night.

Hi Kathy, How was Maine? Hope you had a nice Mother's Day!

I had a nice mother's day. Breakfast in bed, Colby made me a picture frame and sanded a bunch of river shells to decorate it. Hunter made pizza and garlic bread for dinner. Chris and I got a lot of house cleaning done, deep cleaning. I picked up groceries and I'm finishing up the camper bedding as I type this.

I'll let you guys know how Hunter's appt turns out just as soon as we know. Hopefully we'll all know by lunchtime tomorrow.

I'm hoping to start the new job by the end of the month, but it really depends on how long the background check takes. Benefits will start immediately and I've sorted through all of the plans that we could go with and think I've found the best one for our family and it is a fraction of the what I'm paying at my current job and much better coverage.

Good Monday moring Teams

Where did the weekend go? The pollen in the air this year are really getting to me. I never went grocery shopping yesterday because I felt so lousy. I took some allergy medication last night and slept the entire night through. I don't feel like a got a great night sleep but am feeling more awake as the morning is going on.

Deb good luck today with Hunter's MRI. I hope that the background check goes well. One of my sisters says that if you have a job it is easier to get a job. YOu are the second person who is being offered a new job right after you started one. My brother was out of work for almost a year. Last Nov he got a job. He got a second one that started April 1st and last week he was being offered a third one that he is considering..

Everyone sounds like they had a good Mother's Day. I told my sons what I wanted for my Mother's Day and my birthday at the end of the month. That was around Easter. I thought that they would order it and it would be here but NO they ordered it the day before Mother's Day so that it would get here between the two days. Oh well something to look forward to.

Have a happy and healthy day

Good morning!!
Hope everyone enjoyed their weekends and mothers day.

We had a really nice weekend in Maine. We stayed right on the beach, so when I woke up yesterday, I sat out on the deck with a cup of tea and my book and listened to the waves. Then ds and i took a long walk on the beach, swam and used the hot tub before check out, went to the park with my brother, sil and niece before they left. It was a beautiful day so we decided to go up to portland and see the Seadogs minor league baseball game, and it was so fun. This is the first year, Michael actually enjoyed watching the whole game and it wasn't about the food at all. Guess he is growing up. Slugger, the team mascot came by our seats, and ds was going to go down to get a pic, but lots of younger kids got there first, so he was embarrassed and didn't go down, but Slugger had seen him start to come down, and after he saw all the kids, he climbed over the rail to michael and gave him a big hug. So cute. When we got home, we watched a movie last night, and then I went to bed with ds. A fun day. Ds made me a biopoem in school, the teacher starts some sentances and he fills them in about me. It was cute, for example he wrote "I am happy when i get my paycheck." "I give good advice about being kind", and "I would like to see my mother again" so he made my laugh, smile, and cry all in one gift. Definintely a winner.

Today is another baseball game after work. My sister will pick ds up if I can't get out of work a little early, and meet us at the park.

Lindsay- You crack me up. Yeah, these kids sure did change our ideas of a fun time, didn't they. Sounds like you had a really nice day yesterday too, just enjoying every minute with those boys. I'm guessing since these years do seem to be flying by, that we will be young and active enough to get out and have some fun when they are all grown up.:thumbsup2

Shawn- I laughed when you called Maine exotic. I don't get to any of the exotic parts of Maine, I guess. For me, it's t-shirts, jeans, flipflops or sneakers, and totaly relaxation. It is just beautiful there, with lakes mountains, and the ocean, really so much to do. I know there are some ocean towns that are very artsy, and much more expensive than I can afford. The motto on the highway signs used to be, Maine-the way life should be. I think it fits. Oh, congobars are an exotic, calorie laden chocolate chip cookiebar that are way too easy to make. But yummy.
Good luck with all the house shopping. I'm happy you have seen so many houses that you like, but I'm guessing that probably makes it just as hard as not finding any that you like. I'm sure a second look at them will help narrow down the decisions, since you will have more of a comparison having seen them all again.

Dona- Hope you had a good day even with the allergies. They have been tough around here too. Cute the boys at least ordered what you want, so you'll have a fun surprise one day out of the blue. Love that Erma bombeck column. I think I remember reading her in my mother's good Housekeeping magazine years ago.

Deb- thinking of you today, and sending good thoughts for good results.

Rose- So glad you had a good weekend with ds. I can only imagine how TS3 was emotional for you both. Hope the rest of your mother's day was very peaceful. That's great ds was running with dh and you while you bike. I know that break sound you describe, and it's like fingernails on the blackboard. Hope it's an easy fix.

CC- You are doing great with ww and staying in your points, I bet you will be able to reach your goal by your trip. Thanks for the healthy habits this week, I did get my 45 min yesterday and flossed before we left for maine saturday!!

Buffy- :cool1::banana::woohoo::yay::thumbsup2 Congratulations!!! Soooooo happy for you!!! I can't wait to hear all the details!!!!!

Tracey-:hug:Hugs to you on your mother's day, and the girls not feeling well. Thinking of you and sending good thoughts for good health for all your family this week.

Emily- We did AK night emh in january, and Everest was so amazing in the dark. It seemed like a different ride, much scarier but soooo fun.

Lisa- Hope you had a lovely mother's day too, and enjoyed your visit with the neighbors. I love talking disney and living vicariously through others. I think I have a macaroni necklace in my jewelry box too.:rotfl2: So cute.

PrincessNancy- Many people I know have done the boston bermuda cruise and love it. I'm sure you will have an amazing time.

Karen- Congratulation on writing your book. How exciting. Sorry about your workout partners. Maybe you could change your attitude toward them, and present it as "I" am going to exercise this day and time, if they want to join you, great, if not, you are going to do it alone, and maybe that would inspire them to join you. It might be less frustrating and freeing for you, but because you tell them you are going to be doing it, it might give you the motivation to go, even if they don't. Good luck with the book.

Liesel-Lisa- I have vacation envy big time reading your plans. I absolutely love planning our next trip too. Congats on over 10 pounds for the challenge!!

Dave-Glad Caleb and your family are all doing well.

Sue-Sounds like you had a really nice weekend. Cheesecake factory is so good, and I don't think I've been to the Wild Horse in over 10 years. One of those pre kid places. I remember the martinis were so fun. Are you looking for a different house in town?

Cam- Hope you had a good mothers day, and maybe even had some down time to relax a bit. Are you journalling? I did til friday, but took the weekend off. Back on track today. Summer is just around the corner now. We can do this!!!

Pamela- Wonder where you are right now, it's 6:40, probably up and in the shower, to hit emh somewhere, MK, I think on mondays. Bet you'll have a full day before you head back. Hope you've had the best time.

QOTD- We love Crystal Palace, and always eat there, except for the princess trip because the only day we could have planned it was before the race, and I couldn't overdo it that day. Our other mk day we did chef mickey's. Other traditions are the Norway Troll picture, a mickey bar for me, itzakadoozie for michael, and the DHS animation studio drawing class.

QOTD- one of my favorite gifts is a gold cross that I got from my coworkers after my dad passed away. He was very religious, and died suddenly, and they wanted to give me something to always remember him by.

Well, I think I actually caught up with everyone. Now if I hit post and it disappears, I will cry.

Have a wonderful monday everyone!! Hope the sun is shining, and the temps are warm where you are. :)
