Now, I'm just in the process of putting everything away and getting it organized the way I want it. I never realized how much stuff we had in our kitchen til I started doing this. HOLY MOLY! :lmao:

Pam, we did go to the Anne Frank house on Monday night in Amsterdam. We waited until 7:30 pm to go and still had to wait about 30 minutes in line. It is a little underwhelming as Otto Frank (the surviving dad) asked that it never be furnished. So, it is only filled with artifacts on the wall and pictures of the family. We were actually told that it was not worth a visit. I DID think it was worthwhile though. I still found it very chilling to think it was THE actual house they hid in and you did get to see her diaries (there were several).

I can imagine it was very haunting and poignant to actually be there. I'd love to visit it someday.

Pam, DONT walk around barefoot ! With my PF, I never take a step w/o good supportive shoes. It makes such a difference.

Well.... haven't you ever read my tags?? I prefer to be barefoot! That said, I put my sneakers on this morning for my walk/run and haven't taken them off yet. Had a bit of foot pain about 20 minutes into the walk, but I had no choice but to keep going and it was gone in about 5 minutes and did not return. Wearing my "Disney" shoes today.

Did anyone see Bob Greene on Oprah? Very good show promoting his 20 Years Younger book. He advocates 200 mins of exercise a week and 1700 healthy calories a day. Thinking about getting his book or signing up for the program on his website.Shawnprincess:

Saw that episode today. Planning to request the book at the library soon. Very interested to see what he has to say.

having babies and nursing and gaining and losing weight sure does a number on the girls, doesn't it? there's a reason why i wear my bra 24/7 now! lol!

I REFUSE to wear my bra any longer than necessary. The "girls" can head south as far as they want, but I need to be comfortable to sleep!!

nice work on the cleaning of the house! it really is a great stress reliever when things are clean. not that i'd know what that's like lately as my house is a disaster!!!

Tackled "laundry mountain" today. I've been keeping up with the washing and drying, but not the folding.....no lie, I started sorting and folding at 1pm....and just finished at 6:30!!! Admittedly I had to stop a few times and such, but still......:scared1: But every tiny little bit is put away.... every sock is paired, every washcloth folded. Both the dark and color wash bins are totally empty and the white bin is only partly full. Washer and dryer are both empty and the kids hampers are empty!! Clean sheets on all three beds and every towel bar/hook is empty!! But I can't tell you how much better I feel! Overall the house looks decent and I can take a deep breath and relax just a bit now.

oh and btw you asked about getting a bunch of ultrasounds. normally you only get one or two but i've had three already and i'm still in the first trimester! i was high risk with my last pregnancy so they like to take a look early to see how things are going. luckily, i'm not high risk with this one  but i guess that means i won't be getting any more extra ultrasounds!

Glad to hear that you are doing well and everything looks good with the bambino!

we are leaving tomorrow for DC for the weekend. my friend lauren is staying with thomas so this will be john and my first weekend away together since before he was born! i'm actually incredibly nervous about leaving the little guy. my friend lauren is great with kids and i trust her. but, you know, i'll just be nervous. we're going to my friend's wedding. should be fun! but of course i'll have to spill the beans about being pregnant since i won't be drinking. it's going to be GREAT to see a bunch of my college friends! my one friend works at the white house and managed to arrange for us to have a special tour of the white house. fun!

It is tough to leave them.... especially the first time. But I"m sure you (and he) will be just fine.

This is the way it looked before we moved in

Today completly finished

Looks great!! Love the counter tops!!

**********Evening friends! I'm feeling a bit more relaxed now that the house and laundry are doing okay. I've decided to attend some of the scrapping convention tomorrow and maybe a bit more on Saturday. But now I need to spend the evening getting ready for that!!

Suitcases are laying there empty. I will throw in the "stuff" I've been buying along the way, but I need to DD to be here so we can make a final decision about our outfits before I start ironing and packing those. But at least it will be some progress!!

Well...... I came in here to grab the vacuum cleaner to give my room another once over and here I sit! Time to get moving!......................P

Another busy day at work. I thought I was going to be able to leave on time, but I ended up staying for an extra 1/2 hour. I had a few things I had to finish. We are suposed to always leave on time on Friday, but you never know. I'll be going to the gym no matter when I leave work tomorrow. I was planning to go today, but I didn't. And, I'm not sure why. :confused3

I used 3 of my weeklies today. I feel good about that, but I am definitely stress eating. Plus, my lunch went bad-I think the deli meat was too old-and my back up soup was disgusting so lunch ended up being a donut. Dinner was very healthy and so was breakfast, so today wasn't a disaster, but still. I'm still lacking in the fruit and veggie dept too. I think it's time for me to do the grocery shopping. The make a list and give it to my parents thing isn't working well enough. We seem to never make it through the week with enough apples or bananas. We do have lots of frozen veggies. I had plenty of broccoli tonight. :)

I really must be off to bed. Have a great day tomorrow everyone!

QOTD: Honestly, I'd love to fit into a C cup again.

next weekend we leave for hawaii! i went to target and got a million little things to try to keep thomas entertained on the plane. stickers, crayons, a little toy train, etc etc. i made the mistake of doing a search on the dis board about benadryl and plane flights. shoo! i'm glad i didn't ask if anyone has done that before on the Families board!

What did they say about the benadryl?????

Have fun in DC!!! try not to worry to much it may be awhile to you have mommy and daddy time again. ENJOY IT!!!

Evening friends!

I am still feeling pretty crappy and hope to kick this bug soon because I have a half marathon to run on sunday.

I am considering taking tomorrow off too. I dont want to spread my illness to my employees and plus I just feel horrible.

I will either way be getting up very early to watch the royal wedding coverage. I cant wait to see what kate's gown looks like. Imagine becoming a real life princess.princess:

It was a pleasure coaching this week and actually got me motivated to get back on plan. I am now passing the torch to Mikamah aka Kathy. Thanks for being our coach this week Kathy:thumbsup2

What does it mean when I have the urge to purge everything in my darn house.

Do you remember last "season" of our BL challenge when I talked about unzipping the fat suit? I want to do that with everything. I have purged about 1/2 of my clothes, 1/2 the pencils, pens, and notepads in the house. ETA: I feel like I'm being suffocated with stuff, junk, fat.....
I really want to rip apart the kitchen but it's so darn dirty I don't know where to start. But I know if I start pitching stuff now I won't stop and I will regret tossing some stuff. So I sit here and lament about it.

Today is trash day and the can is full. LOL
And there is yet another huge pile for goodwill.

This weekends job is to finish purging the kids clothes.

UGH!!! I need a dumpster!!!

OOooh... sorry you are sick before your half! Feel better fast!

I am considering taking tomorrow off too. I dont want to spread my illness to my employees and plus I just feel horrible.

That would be considerate of you. I hate it when people who are truly sick come to school and spread it to all of us!

I have the DVR set to record the wedding, but I won't be watching it live at 4am (unless I have a hotflash that wakes me at the right time! ;) ). DD and I will try to watch most of it together over the course of the morning (between trips to the transfer station and finishing my packing for the scrapping crop tomorrow night!). I don't care too much for all of the hoopla..... I just want to see the dresses and the ceremony.

Thank you so much for your great questions this week! They were excellent. We are so lucky to have so many great coaches here!

UGH!!! I need a dumpster!!!

Honestly..... I LOVE it when I get feeling like that! It happens about once a month or so.... I get totally fed up with everything. When that feeling comes I try to strike while the iron is hot! I cleaned out the junk drawer the last time I had this feeling and it was great. I didn't try to keep saving everything for "just in case". If it wasn't critical or vital, or didn't have a specific home, it hit the trash!!

Today I had a bit of that feeling in my closet and I filled a large shopping bag for the Goodwill!

Sometimes if I am a afraid that I might be overly purging, I put the stuff in a bag or box, put it in the basement and mark it with a "date of disposal" (usually a few months away). If I haven't gone looking for anything in the bag/box for those months, I figure it is safe to bring the entire thing to the Goodwill. But you gotta be STRONG to not reopen the bag before you donate it.

************ Evening friends~! Sucking down one more cup of decaf green tea to get out those last few calories and toxins before tomorrow's weigh-in. I don't feel much different, but I'm hoping for at least a 1 pound loss. I didn't go nuts on Easter and I've been very good with calories/carbs since then and doing plenty of exercise (including 45 minutes on Easter morning)... no reason I shouldn't have a decent loss, but heaven knows I've said that before and had a lousy weigh-in.

Gonna call in the morning to make a room request for our stay at All-Star Sports next week. We aren't sports fans AT ALL, but the best price was there, so that is where we will stay. DD is really hoping we can stay in "Surf's Up" (closest thing to swimming), but I've been reading and it looks like those are "preferred location" rooms and I refuse to pay any more.... so we'll see. If they can't give us rooms in "Surf's Up" without an additional charge, I might ask if they can change us to ASMu or ASMo for the same price.

We are starting to introduce carbs again tomorrow. I can't WAIT! I'm gonna have a pear and maybe some FiberOne cereal!! We want to have a more "normal" amount of carbs back in our diets before Disney so we don't end up feeling sick when we eat treats at Disney. But we will stick with healthy whole grain carbs and fruit..... nothing crazy. We've worked too hard to lose these pounds to blow it now. Never thought I'd be so excited to eat FiberOne!!

LOVING the evening breeze blowing in right now. Hope it keeps up for the night.... I am so tired of waking up all sweaty from these stupid hot flashes and night sweats! This breeze will feel great if it stays.

Gotta wash my face and get to bed! Busy day tomorrow. I'll try to pop on in the morning to chat and check on everyone's weigh-in! Good night!.......P

UGH!!! I need a dumpster!!!

I'm going to be spending the next few days doing this. In the little bit that I did today I realized that 2 sets of my dishes are missing pieces so into a pile to Goodwill they go. I'm actually getting rid of quite a bit of stuff in my kitchen alone. :) I didn't realize how much junk I had until I started doing this. I told Alan that if I organized and kept everything I'd need a another wall of cabinets.

Good Friday morning Teams

Sorry I haven't been on this week. It is the last week for my student teacher and I have only 5 days until my students take their AP test so it is a crazy week.

I am feeling better but with so much pollen in the air I am still sneezing.

Good luck everyone with their weigh in today.

Have a happy and healthy day.

Welcome to Healthy Habits!

My name is CC (short for Christina) and I will be your Healthy Habits coach for BL 11. I love the BL challenges and Healthy Habits has helped me significantly in achieving many of my goals.

Some Background Information: Thanks to donac (Dona-hostess of Team Donald) and jenanderson for their amazing help so I know how to coach! I couldn’t do this without seeing them in action previously. I will be continuing the prizes that Jen started.

Here’s How Healthy Habits Works: Each week there will be 3 Healthy Habits (HH) to complete. The first two HHs will always be drinking water and exercising. (Note: The amount and time will increase throughout the challenge!) At the end of each week, you will tally up the number of points you earned for the week and send me a private message with your total. Here’s an example. For Week 1, the 3 HHs are drink Six 8 oz. glasses of water a day, exercise a minimum of 20 minutes per day, and eat at least 3 servings of vegetables a day. If on 4 days you get in all 3 HHs, you would report your points like this:

4/6 days of drinking water
4/6 days of exercising
4/6 days of eating veggies

Your total points (ex: 12/18) AND your team name should be in the subject of your PM.

On/about Tuesday evening, I will post the week’s results. I will share the number of participants and the top scorers. New for BL 11: I will also list the people who earned 7/7 on one or more of the HHs for the week. Everyone who participates will be entered into a drawing for the week's prize. Each prize will have something to do with the 3rd Healthy Habit for the week. I will post the winner and ask that you PM me your contact information. (Please Note: If you do not wish to be entered into the drawing, please let me know in your PM. I understand people’s WISHes for privacy.)

Participation in Healthy Habits is entirely optional, but I encourage you to participate. Good luck on your journey and I hope that HHs helps you as much as it continues to help me!

Welcome to Health Habits Week 18

Week 18 is 4/29-5/5.

This week's 3 Healthy Habits are:
1) Drink Six 8 oz. glasses of water.
2) Exercise a minimum of 30 minutes a day.
3) Journal your food.

At the end of the week, please PM me your points. I will post the results on/about Tuesday.

Remember, every participant counts, regardless of the number of points you earn!

If you have any questions, please free to ask!

Good friday morning everyone!! I'm excited to start coaching today, and hoping it will help me to keep my focus for more than half a day at a time. Though I think it was LTS who said as long as your on track some of the time, you're doing something good.

Are you all watching the royal wedding? I got up at 6 and was just in time to catch Kate arriving and the ceremony. It is just amazing. They look so happy when they smile at each other, and I hope they will be very happy.

Friday 4/29 qotd- With the royal wedding today I was wondering what would it be like to be there, and a part of it all. Then thinking about us all here, pluggin away with our day to day average lives, somedays just making it through day. If you could have one day to live the life of anyone else on earth, who would you choose? Or would you choose to stay yourself, in which case you could go anywhere, do anything on earth, what would you choose to do?

LOVED THE WEDDING!!! Catherine looked AMAZING and Prince William didn't look too bad himself! I hope they have a very happy marriage!

We had quiche, ballinis, and mimosas. Looking forward to seeing them on the balcony! Glad the weather stayed nice for them!

It brought back such beautiful memories of 1981 despite the final outcome! I was very teary seeing Catherine and thought her dress was PERFECT!!!

I'll be taking a walk to the wellness center later this morning. Taking a day for myself the rest of the day. Looking forward to watching all the highlight footage the rest of the day! Also can't wait for the special edition magazines to come out. Ash wants to collect stuff like I did for Charles and Diana's.

TTFN :tigger:

Don't forget to send your weighins to Tigger813, with team name in the title, and HH to CClovesdis!!

Thanks CC. This is the perfect hh for me. Journalling and exercising can make all the difference. Thank you for running hh!!

And also forgot to mention that our top choice for house back home was just dropped in price ***$25,000*** today! Can you believe that? Hoping it is still available when I'm home in a couple weeks and I like it in person!
:goodvibesHope it all works out with the house.

this weather is crazy! looks like it's crazy everywhere!

we are leaving tomorrow for DC for the weekend. my friend lauren is staying with thomas so this will be john and my first weekend away together since before he was born! i'm actually incredibly nervous about leaving the little guy. my friend lauren is great with kids and i trust her. but, you know, i'll just be nervous. we're going to my friend's wedding. should be fun! but of course i'll have to spill the beans about being pregnant since i won't be drinking. it's going to be GREAT to see a bunch of my college friends! my one friend works at the white house and managed to arrange for us to have a special tour of the white house. fun!

Have a wonderful weekend with dh. I know Thomas will be absolutely fine this weekend, and I hope you enjoy every minute of your couple time. I agree, if ds has had benadryl before, it's not a bad thing to have handy. Michael was 4 the first flight we did, and I did give him some because he was so active, and it does calm him down a bit. If he hasn't had it before, I wouldn't do it, because it can make some kids hyper.

Anyway, one thing I did was wrap every little thing I bought. That way it took them a little more time to go through things. I know when I buy little stuff they look at it in the airport and maybe never again! THis way they cant look at it til they are on the plane!
What a great idea.

I feel like i'm in a new house every time I walk into it :lmao:
Your kitchen is just beautiful.

I will throw in the "stuff" I've been buying along the way, but I need to DD to be here so we can make a final decision about our outfits before I start ironing and packing those. But at least it will be some progress!!
So exciting!! Is it monday you leave? I hardly ever iron and hate it, I think michael's first communion last spring was the last time. Have you ever tried Downy wrinkle release? You spray it on the clothes and then press the wrinkles out. One bottle lasts a long time.

I am still feeling pretty crappy and hope to kick this bug soon because I have a half marathon to run on sunday.

It was a pleasure coaching this week and actually got me motivated to get back on plan. I am now passing the torch to Mikamah aka Kathy. Thanks for being our coach this week Kathy:thumbsup2
Thank you for coaching last week, Lindsay. You had some fabulous, fun questions. Getting me in the mood for summer!!! I hope you're feeling better soon, and feel good for the race sunday. :goodvibes I hope you decided to take today off too, you could use the rest. Hang in there. drink plenty of fluids.

But I know if I start pitching stuff now I won't stop and I will regret tossing some stuff. So I sit here and lament about it.

Today is trash day and the can is full. LOL
And there is yet another huge pile for goodwill.

This weekends job is to finish purging the kids clothes.
Hope you got some organizing done. It feels so good once you do it, but it is hard to get started.

I can't WAIT! I'm gonna have a pear and maybe some FiberOne cereal!!.......P
And this is why you are my idol. I can feel how excited you are about a pear and fiberone cereal. You have completely made this a healthy lifestyle, and I am so impressed.

Sorry I haven't been on this week. It is the last week for my student teacher and I have only 5 days until my students take their AP test so it is a crazy week.

I am feeling better but with so much pollen in the air I am still sneezing.
Glad you're starting to feel better. Hope the week goes smoothly for you.

Having a nice visit with my Mom. She volunteers at the local botanical garden on Fridays. If I can get my work done, then I can go to the zoo tomorrow while she is there. I used to work at the Phoenix Zoo about 35 years ago -- it's that experience that got my foot in the door at Disneyland.
Sounds like a really nice day. HOpe you got your work done so you can go!!

Please say a quick prayer for me...I go tomorrow for my shoulder manipulation.

I just know it will get better, but am starting to get a bit nervous.

Nancy
Thinking of you today, and praying all goes smoothly.:goodvibes:grouphug:

Looking forward to relaxing tonight and falling asleep on the couch until my wake up call at 3:45 for the wedding! I have the quiches done and just need to puree the strawberries for the bellinis! DSIL is coming at 8 tonight and I hope to get to bed early!

TTFN :tigger:
Are you enjoying your day? Ds was mad I had the tv on and wouldn't let him change the channel this morning, but then he started watching, and actually seemed to enjoy it and we were talking about the royal family. I was telling him about diana and charles, and he said when he's my age, there will probably be another royal wedding of william and kate's kids. cute.

Busy day today with students and meetings and as long as the weather holds out, I am running this evening. Due to my yucky stomach yesterday I didn't get a run in so I am itching to hit the road. I just found out the 5K on Saturday is full of hills...a big issue for my ankle.

Gotta run...tornado warning for New Jersey and really close to me....keeping fingers crossed that it doesn't hit here and we have damage.....
Hope you did ok with the bad weather. Sorry about the hills, but hopefully you can take them slowly, and do alright. :goodvibes

I reached my wedding day weight last week so I guess my wedding dress would fit me now, but I haven't tried it on.
Congratulations!! THat is a great accomplishment!!

I kept my wedding dress. I can put it on, but my proportions are different. I also have a ton of size 8's that 8 plan to wear this summer
:thumbsup2

Hello from Holland again. We are leaving tomorrow, going to the cheese market in Alkmaar in the am and trying to talk DH into stopping by a windmill park that has 19 windmills (the old historic kind) for some quick photos. We also want to make stops in Antwerp and Brussels on the way home. And, I would love to stop somewhere in Luxembourg just so I can add another country to my list! DH is feeling a little overwhelmed with all that is planned for the drive home but for goodness sakes, its not like we will be this way probably EVER again!

Shawnprincess:
Sounds like such an amazing trip. You are right to see everything you can, and I am sure if you don't kill dh and ds, they will be very happy that you made them stop at those places. Such an opportunity for them.

Hope everyone has a great day!! Good luck on the scale! Make good choices today and every day!! We can do this!!!:cheer2:

Just a quick reply, I went on my DD's school zoo field trip today. This zoo is on the side of a mountain with lots of hills and stairs, but I was able to easily get around without feeling tired, which was so nice. I did this field trip with DS 3 years ago and am amazed at how much better shape I am in now.

My grandfather's surgery was today and he is recovering. Thanks for all the well wishes. There is some complicated family politics going on with his care and I just hope that everyone does whats best for him.

Getting fitter is a great feeling! I am so glad to hear your grandfather is doing well  Good luck with the family, in my experience they get odd around anything that might cost them effort or money :rolleyes1

My legs were heavy and tired towards the end though and I had to will my feet to lift up. Any suggestions on how to keep that from happening? I do know I wasn't pre-hydrated enough. Could that be what it was?
I also think I need to lower my seat. I seem to be running high up on the balls of my feet but when I'm more aware of my stride I try to lower my seat and sink down which seems to help for a while.

It's probably a lack of conditioning...do you do crosstraining? Walking is a great crosstraining activity for a runner. As much as it seems like you wouldn't need to do anything else for your legs, walking, working with weights, etc. will help with the heavy and tired feeling. It could also have to do with your hydration level, but then you should be feeling other effects as well. As you get used to working out all the time at that level, the feeling will eventually go away, you can just make it faster if you are working your muscles in a variety of ways. It takes awhile to get used to, though...don't try to do it all at once! Ease into it, and it will be more mentally than phsyically painful ;)

Thursday 4/28/11 QOTD

Is there an outfit or an article of clothing that you are still holding onto in the hopes to be able to wear it?

I have a dress I bought to wear for Easter last year, knowing it probably wouldn't fit. I didn't even try it this year -- I think I probably could have squeezed into it, but I wouldn't have liked how it looked. I'm now hoping to wear it for our pastor's retirement party in the middle of June. If I'm diligent, it should look really cute! ::yes::

How was the run last night? It was warm and humid around here, so I'm sure it was a sweaty one! Did you finish the full 2M?

:yay: for Suitcase Day! I'm glad you decided to do the scrapping event, I think it will be a nice break from all that cleaning! I did indeed do the full 2M, and 3M when I got up yesterday. I just couldn't bring myself to get on the TM this morning, though, so no 4M today so far. I've run 4 days in a row. I was hoping for 6, but my body doesn't seem to like that idea. I plan to run 5M tomorrow. If I find out later in the day that won't be possible, I'll suck it up and do 5M at a slower pace late this afternoon.

Please say a quick prayer for me...I go tomorrow for my shoulder manipulation.

I hope everything goes well and you are soon feeling tip top, Nancy!

Shawn -- Wow, that would have been overwhelming for me. I kind of like the idea that it is unfurnished, kind of like their lives were while they were in hiding. I'm glad you are enjoying your vacation, it sounds like the trip of a lifetime! :lovestruc

we are leaving tomorrow for DC for the weekend. my friend lauren is staying with thomas so this will be john and my first weekend away together since before he was born! i'm actually incredibly nervous about leaving the little guy. my friend lauren is great with kids and i trust her. but, you know, i'll just be nervous. we're going to my friend's wedding. should be fun! but of course i'll have to spill the beans about being pregnant since i won't be drinking. it's going to be GREAT to see a bunch of my college friends! my one friend works at the white house and managed to arrange for us to have a special tour of the white house. fun!

Nancy -- I really think it is important to take trips without the little loves sometimes. Just a night or weekend away of being grown-ups and not parents is good for everyone. And Hawaii?! Sounds awesome! That is a very long plane ride with a little guy. I hope he's sleepy! ;)

:confused3

Well, sometimes our bodies just tell us to take a break, and sometimes you just mentally need one. Don't beat yourself up, just go today afterwork and enjoy the workout you earned after a stressful week! :cool1:

It was a pleasure coaching this week and actually got me motivated to get back on plan. I am now passing the torch to Mikamah aka Kathy. Thanks for being our coach this week Kathy:thumbsup2

Lindsay -- Thank you for coaching and for all your wonderful questions and replies! I really find it motivating to hear from the coaches, and I appreciate all the time and effort that takes! :worship:

Sorry I haven't been on this week. It is the last week for my student teacher and I have only 5 days until my students take their AP test so it is a crazy week.

:wave2: Dona! -- That is the voice I've missed hearing! I'm glad it sounds like your crazy-busy time is almost over for awhile, hopefully you are getting some crafting done in the evenings to relax. I agree about the pollen --but I'll take it over the snow! :rotfl:

Friday 4/29 qotd- With the royal wedding today I was wondering what would it be like to be there, and a part of it all. Then thinking about us all here, pluggin away with our day to day average lives, somedays just making it through day. If you could have one day to live the life of anyone else on earth, who would you choose? Or would you choose to stay yourself, in which case you could go anywhere, do anything on earth, what would you choose to do?

I gotta be me! I think since it's only one day, I'd choose to spend it doing something that is highly unlikely for me -- I'd go to St. Petersburg, Russia! When I was an undergrad I was obsessed with Czarist Russia (helps when you major in history), and I've always wanted to see Peter the Great's city. I would explore it with a kind, knowledgeable and handsome guide (hey, what the heck, it's my day to look at pretty things ), and I would just soak up everything. :cloud9:

LOVED THE WEDDING!!! Catherine looked AMAZING and Prince William didn't look too bad himself! I hope they have a very happy marriage!

We had quiche, ballinis, and mimosas. Looking forward to seeing them on the balcony! Glad the weather stayed nice for them!

It brought back such beautiful memories of 1981 despite the final outcome! I was very teary seeing Catherine and thought her dress was PERFECT!!!

Sounds like you had a wonderful time! I'm going to catch her dress, etc. later tonight. I know you put a lot of planning into this morning, I'm glad it was everything you hoped for!

Ok, gotta quit posting and get out the door to a meeting. I was out so late last night -- we met with our financial planner from 6:30-8, and I didn't eat dinner until 9. I'm dragging a little this morning, since I'm usually in bed by then. Hopefully I'll get energized as the day goes on...still tracking everything I'm eating and hoping for a loss tomorrow morning at my WW weigh in...

Maria :upsidedow

Kathy- I just realized that Ash is the exact same age as I was for Charles and Diana's wedding give a day or two! I pulled out all of my old scrapbooks and memorabilia from Charles and Diana's wedding and books of William and Harry when they were growing up. Ashleigh says she wants to make a scrapbook like I made. I guess I'll be going to the convenience store first thing in the morning to pick up the papers!

Have a lovely day! I think I need a nap since I've been awake since 3am!

TTFN :tigger:

I took off again today and since taking advil a few hours ago I am feeling better for the moment. The positive note is that I got to watch the entire wedding footage which I would have missed had I gone to work.

I loved Kates dress and I think her and prince william look wonderful together and very happy. She is so gorgeous. I must add that her brother is quite the looker too. I also think that her sister and prince harry would make a nice couple too.:lmao:

I thought the whole ceremony, carraige procession, and balcony appearance was all amazingly beautiful.

So to answer the QOTD- I would love to be the princess today.:thumbsup2 I cant think of anyone else I would rather be right now.

I have to admit on my wedding day I felt like a princess. I even made sure I had the tiara too.;)

Here I am.

Thank you to Lindsay for coaching last week and to Kathy for coaching this week!:goodvibes

Please say a quick prayer for me...I go tomorrow for my shoulder manipulation.

I just know it will get better, but am starting to get a bit nervous.

Then I will stop wallowing in self pity and get back on track!!!

Thanks everyone for sharing and for all the positive words and thoughts!

I think this challenge is awesome!

Nancy
I hope it goes well Nancy!:goodvibes

A statement in there has really resonated with me, "all foods are permissible but not all are beneficial". I've been trying to keep this thought in mind while making my food choices this week, I don't have any foods that I deny myself but I try to make good choices and have small portions. Shawnprincess:
I think that's a really great statement to remember. Thanks for sharing.

!

we are leaving tomorrow for DC for the weekend. my friend lauren is staying with thomas so this will be john and my first weekend away together since before he was born! i'm actually incredibly nervous about leaving the little guy. my friend lauren is great with kids and i trust her. but, you know, i'll just be nervous. we're going to my friend's wedding. should be fun! but of course i'll have to spill the beans about being pregnant since i won't be drinking. it's going to be GREAT to see a bunch of my college friends! my one friend works at the white house and managed to arrange for us to have a special tour of the white house. fun!
Have a fun trip!:goodvibes

I am still feeling pretty crappy and hope to kick this bug soon because I have a half marathon to run on sunday.
Feel better Lindsay!

I have long thought that being organized in my house and life goes hand in hand with my food intake. If my house/life feels chaotic my eating is awful /chaotic. So I totally get this. I'd like to talk about this a little more this summer. And I'm seriously thinking about posting a weekly organizing challenge just to keep myself on track. With my DS home this summer I need all the help I can get!

Hope everyone is doing well! We really got lucky Wednesday night and just had more rain. Those storms south of us were horrible. We went to the baseball game last night and two more thunderstorms came through. At one point there was a double rainbow--I said, does that mean we don't have to build the arc?:rotfl: It is so wet here. The rivers and creeks are spilling out of their banks. Lots of flooding. What a mess. We are supposed to have two days without rain, so fingers crossed!

Don't forget to pm your team name to Tracey along with your weight and your HH points to CC.

Have a great day!

Rose, I can definitely help with that. I have a few organizational articles that do a room a month (broken down into segments) and one that does a different task each day.

Personally I prefer the room a month as it has a small reward system for the room. That motivates people in the weight loss so it should motivate people in the organization too.

I do feel like if my house is out of control my life is out of control. Especially if the kitchen it bad.
