Biggest Loser 11 Spring Team Challenge--for Losers and Maintainers

Let's assume I'm spending the day relaxing on my deck -- I'll meander over to the table from the swing for a few meals -- a breakfast fruit smoothie to start things off, a lunch salad of Boston Bibb lettuce, carrots, tomatoes, peppers of every color, cucumbers, mushrooms, a few olives and some sunflower seeds for crunch (no dressing needed!); and for dinner, shrimp on the barbi with asparagus, corn on the cob, and strawberry shortcake for dessert.

But, if it's a weekday, I'm going with hummus and assorted raw veggies for my lunch. :thumbsup2

Another good day for me -- even though I got up late (didn't wake up until I heard ds in the shower, which meant I was already 15 minutes behind), I still ran 4M before going to work. Sticking with my eating plan and religiously writing down every morsel -- I'll be glad when I get used to this again and it doesn't seem like so much work!

Maria :upsidedow

ooh Im coming to hang out on your deck too. Good job for not just canning the run today when you woke up late.

Hello friends, just a quick check-in from vacation. We are having an awesome time. This is such a neat area of the world. I think I am doing OK although I really do rely on my daily weigh-in and of course I do not have scales with me this week. We are having a hearty breakfast every day of scrambled eggs, sausage and toast. Then we are having either very late lunch or early supper and maybe a snack at some point or maybe not. So, it seems like it's a little less food than what we eat on an everyday basis. And we have been very active! Sunday we biked around 25 kilometers and we have done a lot of walking and did a 3 hour bike tour in Amsterdam Monday. We liked A'dam so much we went back there today. Tomorrow we are going to Den Hague, Delft and Rotterdam. It has been nice to have the Internet in the cottage at night so I can keep up with you all! I brought some games with us and planned that we would play Uno and such tonight but the guys are watching soccer on TV. They do not like me to have everything all planned;) I've been reminding them several times this week "THIS is what happens when you do not plan your vacation ahead!" but they would just rather see what develops than plan ahead:scared1:

Anyway, have a great week everyone and I will keep reading along and catch up with replies this weekend when we get back to Stuttgart.

Shawnprincess:

Your trip sounds amazing. Have a great time.

thomas and i drove back home and then heading to my friend's place and she and i and 6 kids went to medieval times in NJ. it. was. awesome!!! i've been wanting to go to it forever! in fact, when i lived in chicago i had a boyfriend and i remember begging him to take me (i didn't have a car!) and he wouldn't! psh, should have known it was never gonna work. anyway, the show was fun and the food was great. thomas actually ate alot of the chicken. so much so that i took the chicken that my friend's daughter didn't eat and ate it. he also gnawed on two pieces of corn on the cob. he loved the horses. then halfway through the show he fell asleep on me! wow! too much excitement i guess!!

fun day so far! the sun is shining but we're hanging inside for right now b/c thomas' nap at the show has made him VERY cranky right now.

Sounds like alot of fun. We did medival times when i had my first WDW trip which was 22 years ago. I do remember loving it. Glad thomas had a great time too.

Im so glad your new doc is good. I bet seeing those tiny arm and leg buds was exciting.

Excited that we have several more parents to volunteer for field day! We had 5 yesterday and have at least 10 now! I need to meet with the other chair next week to send out our email with jobs and asking for supplies! I'm glad it's coming together! I was worried!

We just got an email saying that if our school does not get more volunteers they would have to cancel field day. So I am using my last scheduled day off to volunteer. Its a shame no one wants to help out anymore. Or maybe they just cant take off of work. Either way I am glad I get alot of time off for I have been able to volunteer at every school event so far this year.

I bet going with Izzy's class to the zoo will be lots of fun. I remember I loved having my mom on field trips when I was younger. Im sure your girls will really appreciate all you did for them growing up. You are a great mom.

Hi everyone! Hope everyone had a nice Tuesday :goodvibes Work has slowed down, but my brain hasn't adjusted yet. I ordered Dylan's teachers an Easter cake and had them make it for me to pick up tomorrow. As I was driving around Saturday it dawned on me that Easter will be over when I give them their Easter cake. Doh :headache:

I say.....better late than never:thumbsup2

Congrats to everyone!!!! great job.

I went to WW today and am down 3.4 lbs for the week. That means I am finally down since I re-started WW almost 3 months ago! That also means I'm down over 12 pounds since I peaked at just under 180. I never want to see the 170s again. I had a med check today and I mentioned that I've lost 12 pounds since I saw her last. She was very happy with me. I have another one scheduled in exactly 4 weeks and I hope to be another 8-10 pounds lighter. We are 99% sure that it was one of my meds that was making me so hungry and gain weight. I have been off of that one for a few weeks and, as of tonight, I'm off of another one! My doctor was so happy to see me so happy. I am really feeling like myself again. Thank you all for your support and for noticing how much better I am doing. :)

Have a great day tomorrow everyone!

Wow CC thats wonderful. I am so happy that you sound so much more like yourself. You are going to look fabulous for your disney trip.

It was so beautiful outside today. Tball was great. I really dont know why they call it tball because they dont use a T, the coaches underhand pitch to them.:confused3 The T is there if they need it. Ryan hit a bomb tonight over everyones heads and into the outfield. He was the last batter up and got to run the bases without stopping. He slid into home and yelled HOME RUN!!!! The crowd was hysterical. He is such a rip. Then it was home to eat dinner, do homework, showers, boys to bed, make grilled chicken for tomorrows luncheon at work, watch DWTS, and now I am catching up with all of you. Whew busy evening.

Not much going on tomorrow other than work. Tomorrow is hump day.

Morning all!

Ash got up easily and is working hard on her project!

I stayed up way too late watching Glee last night! I had trouble staying awake but forced myself. I will re-watch it this morning too!

I need to run over to the local garage either this morning or tomorrow and have them check on my car. My check oil light keeps coming on when I start the car but goes off once I start moving. They may have forgotten to reset it after the oil change. It's been running fine though once or twice it grumbles about starting. Just hope it's only that.

I'm going to pick up Izzie at school and go to the grocery store and toy store this afternoon. She has three b'day gifts to buy for the next 2 weeks. She's not going to one of the parties but it's the twin brother of one of the kids.

Feeling a bit stuffy this morning and throat is scratchy. I guess I'll take an allergy pill in a bit.

Going to be in the low 70s here today! Looking forward to my walk this morning!

TTFN :tigger:

FYI: To make my job a bit easier for the last weeks of the challenge I have deleted anyone who has not sent me a weigh in since Feb. 26th. I just had to do it as I have been having trouble finding people when they don't send their team names.

TTFN :tigger:

Congrats to all our biggest losers this week especially Disney1990!! Congrats to our maintainers, and everyone here still plugging along, trying to get their focus back. We can do this!! :cheer2:
1241 pounds is just amazing to me!! Maybe because only 4 of it is mine. ;) But I'll keep hanging around, and one day I will be one of the bigger losers again. Keep on trying, never give up!!

Good morning everyone. Had a good day yesterday, journalled every bite, and did wii step with hand weights while I watched the first half of biggest loser last night. I only have .6 of my easter gain to lose to be back to friday's weight.

It's looking like a nice day here today!! I'll do the sun dance for the weekend and everyone's races!! We have opening day of little league on saturday, and then ds's first game.

Karen_I am so excited for you doing your first 5K this weekend. You will do great! It is such a fun and exciting atmosphere.

Lisa- Have a safe trip and a nice visit with your mom. Soak in all that heat and bring it back to Idaho to stop that dang snow once and for all.

Lindsay and Tracey-You've got me thinking about field day. I took it off one year, and then it was rained out, and I couldn't get the second day off. Maybe I'll try again. It is a fun day, and the kids have so much fun.

Tracey-Thank you so much for all your hard work as weightkeeper.

Rose-Thank you for organizing this challenge, and planning the summer challenge. I know it is a lot of work, and we are lucky to have you, Tracey, Cc, and Connie to volunteer all your time. 1241 pounds is a testament to a very well run challenge. I think for summer, every other week weighins might be a good idea, with people being busier.

Maria-Your summer meal and relaxing on the deck sounds lovely. I might save a few points for some frozen adult beverages too.;) You're doing great! Congrats on being in the top 10!

Lindsay- Congrats to little Ryan on his home run!! It is so much fun to watch at that age, and sometimes they have the element of surprise when they actually hit the ball. He must have been so excited.

CC- Nice job with the loss this week!! You are so on your way to reaching your vacation goal. You can do this!!

Nancy Glad you like the new doctor and you got to see your precious little baby. It is so amazing to watch that beautiful little life taking form and growing inside you.

Sue- Hope you are all rested up from tax season. Looking like a warm week out here. :thumbsup2

Dona_ So sorry to hear about your parent's neighbor. It's so sad. Hope you are feeling better.

Hello to all I've missed! Hope you all have a happy, healthy day!!

Good Morning. I tried to skim through yesterday. Life is still in Fast Forward and there have been times when I wonder whether I'm coming or going. I actually asked 3 Dad's that were standing on the sideline if they knew if I was coming or going as it was my third trip to the field last night and I was still heading off to work at 7:15 :lmao: I told DH that I feel like I'm juggling fine china and wondering when I'm going to drop something. So far so good though. I'm am still 100% OP. I lost 5.2 lbs in the first week. I did not have time to send my weigh in to Tracy and I think this was week 3 that I forgot. No matter, I'm still accountable and plugging along. Maybe I'll even get to bed before midnight tonight. I'll call that "Me Time"

Oh Deb..... I wish I lived closer so I could help somehow. I have found, during crazy busy times in life, I've had to let some things go. Like folding every darn piece of laundry..... I gave up folding undies many years ago.... and you know what....NBD!! I also gave up folding dishtowels for a few years..... I just plunked the clean dry towels in a wicker basket on top of the fridge and grabbed them from there. Saved time and it didn't impact life negatively. No time to change all of the sheets this week?? Just make sure everyone has a clean pillowcase and MOVE ON! No one is going to DIE from having two week old sheets on their bed! And the vacumming won't take any longer if you wait and do it next week. Those sort of changes sometimes need to be made! I'm sure DH is helpful.... as are those big boys of yours! Take care of yourself, spend your time wisely (and supporting your boys is a wise choice use of time), make sure you are getting HELP, and soon things should smooth out.

GREAT job on the weight loss! You must be feeling so good!

Good morning all!

Heading to Arizona tomorrow to see my Mom for a few days so I will be checking back when I return! Have a great time all!

Enjoy your visit with your Mom! Talk to you soon.

And I thought unloading the dishwasher was a big accomplishment yesterday. Nice job on accomplishing soooo much! Oh, and fit ME in your suitcase!! Wish I was heading to Disney with ya!

Wish I could fit ALL of you! Wouldn't a WISH BL Dis Meet at WDW be just unbelievable!!??

I'm rolling down the mountain!!:rotfl: Back to getting serious about my health!! It all begins with one step...

You are right.....one step, one day, one meal, one bite!! Whatever it takes to get you started back in the right direction!!

My favorite warm weather meal is actually the summer strawberry salad at Panera: lettuce, strawberries, grilled chicken, walnuts, crumbled feta with a poppy seed dressing. I make my own at home with "light" everything (panera used full fat everything and it kills me!!)

Yup.....and there are people out there eating Panera A LOT because they think it is SO healthy! Stop and check the calorie counts and ingredients list sometime! You really have to pick and choose there, just like any other restaurant, to be able to make the healthiest choices.

I want to eat this right now!!! Can't wait until tomato season!!

We have a close friend who is an organic gardener. His hothouse tomato plants are over a foot high already (DH was over there yesterday). With any luck he might be sharing tomatoes with us by mid to late May!!

I'm headed out for my 4 miles tonight with Christine (even if she flakes on me I am going!) because I am going to do the 5K this weekend!!! Thanks soooo much for all of your encouragement! I am very excited to do it AND wear my Walking Princess Shirt that I ordered from Runningprincess. This is only the beginning of my journey!

Happy Tuesday to all of you and make great choices today!!

YOU GO!!! :woohoo:

Shawnprincess:

I am so envious of all of your European adventures!! I hope you are keeping a good journal and taking lots of photos! Have you done the Anne Frank house tour yet??

i'm having a hard time figuring out what to make today too. i just don't feel like cooking...ever! i go through periods of wanting to cook everyday and then even longer periods where i just don't want to do anything.

today's been pretty great so far (not food or exercise wise though, unfortunately). i had an appt with my new OB this morning at 8am. john and thomas came with me. john's new job is in NJ so it's hard for him to get to appointments now. he went to pretty much every single one when i was pg with thomas. he missed the one last week and i could tell he was bummed. this new doctor has 8am appointments which is GREAT because it means we don't have to wait forever and john only is a little late for work.

the new guy is great. i've met him once before when i was pg with thomas since he covers for my previous OB. he is really friendly and promised to try to be as good as our last doc (who is retiring). we had another ultrasound and got to see the little munchkin. i'm 9 1/2 weeks now so even though it's the size of a raspberry you can make out arm and leg buds and the head and it was moving around! thomas was hysterical during the appt since i think he hates the white coats! but he sat on top of me while i had the u/s and as long as i was holding him he was fine.

I'm so pleased your appointment went well. Is it standard to do so many ultrasounds (didn't you have one already??)? I only had one during my pregnancy with DD and I SWEAR the ob cooked up an excuse to make sure I had one (told me at an appoinment at about 20 weeks that I was "measuring" off??). Never had a single u/s with DS. Of course, I'm old and I'm sure that "standards" of care have changed over the years! How exciting to get so many peeks at the baby!!

Hope your foot is all better for your trip. 10 days

How has your husband been doing/feeling since his accident?

Foot feels good today....talk more about it in a bit.

DH is doing really well. Still having therapy for his right arm. The fracture was really bad and it will take probably many, many more months before it is totally normal. Everything else is a-okay. His face is definitely "different" than before the accident, but probably not to the casual observer too much. Hair has grown over the large scar across his head (from the facial reconstruction). Other than the occasional ladder joke, we don't talk much about it any more. Thanks for remembering and asking.

Yahoo single digits :cool1: Are you going to meet up with pjlla?

Buffy and I need to talk about our schedules and arrange a time to at least say HI!

Maybe you could say you thought they were Greek Orthodox?? Don't they always celebrate Easter a bit later than the standard European/American Christian Easter??? Just an idea. I'm sure they will appreciate it no matter what.

HUGE congratulations to everyone on the list!! Especially those of you who have been away from us for a while!!

So, on my drive home from wherever it was I was driving from :rolleyes1, it occurred to me that I'm behind with Healthy Habits. I will try to catch up tomorrow night. I can't believe I'm still awake as it is.

I had a busy day at work again today, but it ended up being less busy than I expected. Our intern was an amazing help.

I went to WW today and am down 3.4 lbs for the week. That means I am finally down since I re-started WW almost 3 months ago! That also means I'm down over 12 pounds since I peaked at just under 180. Have a great day tomorrow everyone!

I am so happy to see that you are feeling so much better! And dropping the meds is a HUGE thing! YOu are sounding so much more positive than I have heard you sounding in a long time!! I'm sure that it is combination of feeling better, good news from the doc, and the fact that you are doing so well with the your healthy journey lately!! Keep going!!

FYI: To make my job a bit easier for the last weeks of the challenge I have deleted anyone who has not sent me a weigh in since Feb. 26th. I just had to do it as I have been having trouble finding people when they don't send their team names.

TTFN

I don't blame you one little bit!! If they haven't sent in a weight since 2/26, chance are they won't be back soon.... that was two months ago! You do such a super job for us.... we all truly appreciate it so much! (Especially those of us who are mathematically challenged!! ;) )

*********** Good morning friends! I had lots of nice "chit chat" typed up here and I moved the keyboard to get a cup of coffee and it appears to have vanished. (At least I didn't lose everything!) oh well.

Suffice to say..... still busy here! Good news.....finally had a chance to figure out the new camera and I'm sure we will have fun using it at Disney. Bad news.... still crazy busy trying to get "stuff" done here. I feel pulled in many different directions. I am SUPPOSED to attend a scrapbook convention here in NH this weekend with friends from the Scrapbooking board. I have my hotel room booked, but I never registered for a single class or crop. I am feeling really guilty about spending the money on the hotel room right before I go to Disney.... and a bit guilty about spending the time, since I feel so far behind. I'm "hiding out" here on the WISH board because I know my scrapping friends are wondering why I haven't been over to chat about this weekend. I need to "fish or cut bait" and make a final decision about what I am doing this weekend and let them know. :confused3

Got all of my doctor stuff taken care of yesterday..... blood drawn, mammogram done, follow-up eye doctor done and contacts ordered. Now I can forget about doctors for at least a year or more!

About the foot pain I was experiencing.....

I had decided that it was probably from the pounding on the Treadclimber and that I should skip that particular machine. Well.... when I got to the Y last night I decided to take the 5:30 spin class (yes, I know....I said I'd NEVER do it again cause I hate it.... but I did it again..:sad2: ). I had about 20 minutes to kill before the class started, so I thought I could do just a quick bout on the TC and that I would stop if my foot hurt. I did the full 20 minutes and foot was just fine. Did the 45 minute spin class and foot was just fine (lungs and thighs are another story). Hit the TC again after spin class for another 30 minutes and foot was still fine. Did 20 minutes of free weights and abs and foot still fine. Decided to end the night with some time on elliptical..... 2 minutes into it and foot starts to HURT!! Umm...... I think I figured out what is hurting my foot!! Guess what machine I am no longer using!!??

Foot felt fine the rest of the night (finished my evening on the recumbent bike for 45 minutes) and feels just fine today. THank goodness!! I was SO afraid I'd end up with foot pain during our trip! I was contemplating buying ANOTHER pair of shoes or some sort of insert or something.....so happy I figured it out so easily!!

It does appear that Mr.SUN will not be making an appearance here any time soon, so if I want to go outside for a walk/run, it will be in the fog and rain.

DD had an AWESOME swim practice last night. She came out of the Y absolutely PUMPED about her times. She was outswimming EVERYONE.... including two girls her age who she has NEVER been able to beat! She doesn't think it has anything to do with her drop in weight, but I think it might have at least helped a bit. But even so, she is such a strong, powerful girl! She has amazing muscle tone and works SO hard at every practice. No reason why she SHOULDN'T be beating everyone!! I'm so thrilled for her and so happy that she has a sport that she loves so very, very much.

DS spent yesterday with his best friend and they worked on Robotics programs all day!! He certainly doesn't have MY brain! He was pretty frustrated last night cause one of his Lego Robots appears to have stopped working. He wanted to take it apart to check it, but I want to check first to see if it is still under warranty. I'm afraid if he starts playing with it that the warranty might be voided. Need to check that today for him. He also conned DH into letting him buy ANOTHER Lego kit at Walmart last night. DH is such a soft touch!!

I'm gonna make my breakfast now.....I'm sick of waiting for the sleepy heads to rise, so I guess I'll eat alone. Egg white omelet with broccoli and tomato....maybe a bit of light cheese. Already had TWO cups of coffee while sitting here! Moving on to green tea now. Dishwasher already run and ready to be unloaded and one load of laundry washed. Need to move that along. Never made it to the transfer station yesterday and not sure I want to go today. oh well.

TTYL......................P

Good Morning Team!!!!

I am not complaining I promise because I love this warm weather but it was extremely hard sleeping last night. It was so muggy and warm even with the windows open and a fan on. Nick ended up coming into our room in the middle of the night and made himself a bed out of blankets on our floor. I didnt even realize it until this morning.:lmao: I guess he was warm too. My alarm never went off, not sure what happened but I woke up at 645 and needed to pick up one of my employees that needed a ride by 720. So needless to say my hair is in a ponytail today.:confused3

Today is weight watcher wednesday at work. Everyone had to bring healthy items in for lunch. I am pretty excited. I brought grilled chicken to put in salad.

It is suppose to be another nice day out with a chance of thunderstorms. Its making me not motivated to work but I have alot to get done so I better just get to it.

Wednesday 4/27/11 QOTD

Many of us have had setbacks lately in our journeys to loose or maintain weight. What are you or can you do to move in the right direction again?

When I need some help staying on plan and moving in the right direction, I write up a plan. Sometimes a food plan, sometimes an exercise plan.... sometimes both! When I have it in writing, I'm much more apt to stick with it.....and a checklist where I actually physically check things off as I do them is a HUGE motivator for me!!

Okay..... so I came clean with my Scrapping friends and told them where I'm at regarding this weekend. Hopefully they will have some suggestions and by the end of today I will know what I am doing this weekend!

Eggwhites with onions, peppers, and tomatoes, 50 calories worth of light cheddar, and green tea..... mmmmm! Now on to the housework and exercise !.....P

I don't think I'm going to drive up this weekend, all the kids plus the fact that I need to get some housework done. And I need to cut grass already!!!!

So I will see you at Disney.
you need to send me your schedule when you get it hammered out.

We will definitely miss you this weekend, but I understand! Schedule is penciled out....just need to check park hours one more time in the hopes that they might extend them..... but with Grad Nights on Friday and Saturday, I'm not holding out any hope.

Will PM you my schedule today or tomorrow.................P

Congratulations to all the Losers and Maintainers this week!:goodvibes

Wednesday 4/27/11 QOTD

Many of us have had setbacks lately in our journeys to loose or maintain weight. What are you or can you do to move in the right direction again?
Good question! I can suck it up and go to the gym and get exercise in even if it's not the exercise that I really want to be doing. No more whining, time to get on with things. I am not going to sabotage myself because of a small setback.:goodvibes

P--where is your foot bothering you? I had to get off the elliptical for a while. I thought it was plantar but I hurt the fatty pad on my heel. It's recovering quickly since I have stopped the elliptical.:goodvibes

*****
Rain, rain go away. Goodness, we have had a lot of storms this spring! More severe weather again this afternoon, and hopefully we will get a break for a few days. Lots of flooding and everything is soggy! Our dog hates t-storms and cried for a couple of hours last night. It was awful! Hopefully the storms will come through early tonight.

I went to the Y today and did the bike for 30 minutes, lifted weights, and did my rehab. I need to ice my knee still. Apparently pink kinesio tape is much cooler than blue kinesio tape;) because despite the fact that my leg has been taped for a month now, 4 or 5 people asked me about it today. No one asked before today. People wanted to know if it was a new fashion thing.:lmao: It is amazing though how many people are having hip soreness--I got to hear everyone's stories.:thumbsup2

Anyhow, been feeling kind of blue and very stressed and it was nice to get really sweaty. And no pain, which was fabulous!:thumbsup2

Have a great day everyone!

P--where is your foot bothering you? I had to get off the elliptical for a while. I thought it was plantar but I hurt the fatty pad on my heel. It's recovering quickly since I have stopped the elliptical.:goodvibes

Nope.... mine was the ball of my left foot..... kind of between the first and second metatarsals. Felt like a bad bruise, like I don't have enough padding there any more. Glad I figured out what it was.

I'd be loving the pink tape too!! Anything pink in my book is great! Glad it is working for you!....P

I will be on the look out.
We don't have a set schedule. I have to go the the ESPN center at some point during the day on Friday to get our race packets. Then we will probably chill out at the pool or something Sat day, and head to AK mid afternoon Saturday for the race. It starts at 8:30 but I want to get a map and a feel for the course.
Oh note to self, pack the fanny pack and a flashlight!

Wednesday 4/27/11 QOTD

Many of us have had setbacks lately in our journeys to loose or maintain weight. What are you or can you do to move in the right direction again?

Well, I learn something every time I have a setback. My current strategy is tracking everything I eat, having a schedule for working out, and finally, just starting again. I have a hard time having that first workout, or counting that first food -- I have to just do it, and then I will gain momentum! :cool1:

Pamela -- You are so right, in writing makes all the difference for me! :thumbsup2 Thanks for the welcomes, you make my heart :goodvibes Your new camera sounds really fun!

Rose -- Great point about just doing something, anything. We have to be flexible, and willing to try new things ::yes::

Kathy -- You are a journalling machine! I hope you are enjoying this beautiful day :flower3:

Tracey -- Thank you for your work as our weightkeeper, that is a lot of math :teacher:

Dona -- I hope you are feeling better!

CC -- Great job reducing your meds, that is real change! :yay:

Lisa -- Hope you are enjoying some sunshine and a nice break from the snow! :cold:

Buffy -- Good luck on your race, I hope you enjoy every minute! I  Disney races!

Nancy -- I am eagerly waiting for dh to get the patio furniture out, so we can really enjoy the back yard. We decided against the pool this year, so that means I have a second brick patio area in my upper yard (I'm on the back side of a hill) where we could do something. It's very shaded, so that might be a nice second resting area -- but maybe too far from the grill :rotfl:

Ok, today I have to be really strong. I could not run before work because dh needed to drop me off at 7am. I did "office laps" for 2 hours, but that wasn't with any speed. I still want to run 2M when I get home -- but I know I'll be tired, and ds will be bugging me to watch Glee, since we tivo'd it last night. It's going to be really hard to decide that putting myself first actually means running, rather than relaxing...I'm going to think of you guys, look at my chart which tells me to run 2M today, and just change into my workout clothes the minute I get home. ::yes::

Maria :upsidedow

Maria- Luckily LuvBaloo (Shannon) had all the formulas in the spreadsheet so no math done on my part. I may need to do some for the final results as the formula seems to have disappeared.

Had a great walk with Redwalker this morning. When Izzie got home she ate lunch and then we walked to the ATM and the local toy store and then chatted with some neighbors. She's lying on the bed now watching tv as it was a warm walk. About 1-2 miles total. She only whined at the end.

Ash will be home in a bit and we will finish her project. I got it typed but she still has a bit more to do!

Watching more Royal Wedding stuff! I just need to get my champagne tomorrow!

Enjoy your visit with your Mom! Talk to you soon.

YOU GO!!! :woohoo:

YAH for another good day!!!! I'm so happy you are back in the swing of things and chatting regularly with us again!! You were missed.

I am so envious of all of your European adventures!! I hope you are keeping a good journal and taking lots of photos! Have you done the Anne Frank house tour yet??

I'm so pleased your appointment went well. Is it standard to do so many ultrasounds (didn't you have one already??)? I only had one during my pregnancy with DD and I SWEAR the ob cooked up an excuse to make sure I had one (told me at an appoinment at about 20 weeks that I was "measuring" off??). Never had a single u/s with DS. Of course, I'm old and I'm sure that "standards" of care have changed over the years! How exciting to get so many peeks at the baby!!

You need to take your own advise. I'm sure that your house won't fall apart while your at Disney. DH and son will eat. Try to relax a bit and most importantly enjoy your trip.

There is no denying that I am busy, heck the entire family is busy, but we know that come mid June things will slow down to a normal busy :lmao: I learned a very long time ago to let things go. Right now I'd be embarassed to let anyone into our house, but then again, anyone that I'd invite in already knows how busy I am. I am totally the queen of multitasking so I'm getting the essentials done and I never get less than 6 hours sleep and always shoot for 8. My Dh and kids truly appreciate all the time and effort and they are really good about thanking me. I've had lots of parents thank us and I'm letting coaches and parents help with the fundraising. It's all good. I'm actually very happy. The new job is going well although it is boring right now. The diet is going fabulous and I have a shot at making goal if I stick with it. I've made lots of new friends too.

Thanks everyone! It's so nice to have all of you. :)

I had a great day today too! I used some of my weeklies, but today is the last day of my WW week and I still have some remaining! :cool1: I am going to try to use less this week. I think keeping my body guessing really helps.

I worked an extra hour today as things at work were pretty busy. I have a presentation I need to do and I finally put the finishing touches on it today. I started it probably 2 months ago. I've done 2 presentations in about an hour each and this one, well, you know...:rolleyes1

I'm hoping to go to the gym tomorrow. One of my other goals for this week outside of using fewer weeklies is to get in more exercise. I'll probably eat about half of the activity points I earn. I also need to drink more water, especially if I am exercising more. I'd like to get in another 40 min/8 miles on the recumbent bike tomorrow and walk on the treadmill on Friday. I got invited to join some people for a walk on Sunday, so I'll be doing that. So excited!

Hope everyone has a great day tomorrow! Last day before weigh-in! :goodvibes

Evening all!

Watching the Bruins game! Sweating like crazy as I have a jersey on for good luck and it's 76 in here! Maybe I can sweat off the enchiladas I ate tonight! Still drinking my water though. This is soooo stressful!!!! If I make it through the night without a drink it will be a miracle!

Working tomorrow though I don't have anyone scheduled! I have to redo my schedule for the next two months with all the stuff at school I have to do with the kids. I'm going to put the podcasts on my iPod so I can listen to them tomorrow. I want to do some work with my files tomorrow in my room so I can listen then.

Planning on cooking up the bacon for the quiche in a few minutes. Also going to cook up some bacon to go on our burgers tomorrow night. I got eggbeaters to use in the quiche.

Time to get frying!

Just a quick reply, I went on my DD's school zoo field trip today. This zoo is on the side of a mountain with lots of hills and stairs, but I was able to easily get around without feeling tired, which was so nice. I did this field trip with DS 3 years ago and am amazed at how much better shape I am in now.

My grandfather's surgery was today and he is recovering. Thanks for all the well wishes. There is some complicated family politics going on with his care and I just hope that everyone does whats best for him.

In good Disney news, we are officially going to DL for 2 1/2 days before our nephew's wedding in Palm Springs in October. We are getting annual passes and I can't wait to ride the new Star Tours and Little Mermaid! We just couldn't stay away!

Lindsay-Your Easter sounded like so much fun! I'd love to get a golden egg. I am so jealous of warm weather. Yesterday we experienced thunder snow (scared my dog!) and today it snowed off and on while we are at the zoo. Only 1 more month until snow season is over!

Buffy-I'm glad to hear you had fun at WDW. You are going to do a fantastic job at the Expedition Everest race. I'm a bit nervous about running outside too sometimes, so many in shape people here in Colorado (state with the lowest obesity rate in the US!). I just try to ignore it and do what I need to do. We can do this!

Tracey-I'm sorry your tummy was bothering you, and am so glad you are feeling better.

CC-I'm glad you are getting your health issues sorted out with your doctor.

Karen-Congrats on signing up for a 5K! I am thinking about doing one on May 14th. I can't wait to hear all about your race.

Rose-Good luck on your half this weekend. Have fun!

Lisa-Hi there, how is your training going? I can't wait for it to stop snowing either, although we were were lucky and had a mild winter this year. Have fun with your mom!

Shawn-Your vacation sounds great! I'd love the opportunity to visit those places someday.

P-I'm so happy for your single digit dance!

DisneyWedding2010-Thinking of you this week.

Hi to Kathy, LTS, Maria, Jeanette and everyone else! I'll try to catch up later!

Lisa that's great news about the Zoo!! I've been paying attention to those details too. Even though I was tired at the end of a Disney day (who's not tired!) I wasn't winded after doing something like walking up to the Land where Soarin' is.

Continued prayers to your Grandfather!

Jealous about DL!!! I want to go!! We have an even 2-2-2 split on which Disney park we are going to for Xmas. DL, WDW, and DLP.
