Biggest Loser 11 Spring Team Challenge--for Losers and Maintainers

Hi guys. My name is Michelle and I was on here a few challenges ago and had planned on coming back for the next challenge when God interceded and gave us our 4th baby girl! It was a suprise but now that she is here I can't imagine not having her. She is 4 weeks old and just beautiful. Her name is Loralei Victoria Abagail and she is wonderful.

I can't wait to start getting back on track with my health. Luckily I dodn't gain any weight during the pregancy and I am a few pounds lighter now than when I got pregnant. I have a long way to go and can't wait to join with you guys again.

I will e mail my weight tomorrow, (yuck) and hope that I can join with you guys and we can all get healthy together.

Hope everyone has a great night. My tiniest monster is sleeping so I am going to try and get in a wink or 2 before she realizes I'm not holding her! :goodvibes

Rose, I can definitely help with that. I have a few organizational articles that do a room a month (broken down into segments) and one that does a different task each day.

Personally I prefer the room a month as it has a small reward system for the room. That motivates people in the weight loss so it should motivate people in the organization too.

I do feel like if my house is out of control my life is out of control. Especially if the kitchen it bad.
We'll have to think about this a bit. Once things calm down, I'll pm you and maybe we can put together a plan. I definitely don't want it to be something that causes anyone more stress!

***********Good afternoon folks!! I saw something today that I thought I would never ever see in my lifetime. Can you guess what it was? Nope, not a royal wedding. Nope, not that. I saw a TWO in the ones place on the scale this morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I actually took a picture of the scale. I didn't lose the full pound that I was hoping for, but enough to see that "2"!!!!! I can honestly say I have never, ever, ever been this slim in my entire adult life. Kind of exciting, but it probably won't last long after a Mickey bar and Dole Whip next week!!:rotfl: But exciting to be there for now.... especially right after Easter weekend!
Congrats P!:goodvibes That is absolutely FABULOUS!!!!!

Had a short nap and then woke up and rewound the TIVO to see Wills and Catherine leave the palace in the convertible. That was just an incredible thing they did! It was soooo cool!

TTFN :tigger:
I thought the convertible was very cool too! And she was just beautiful, wasn't she! I loved the dress.

Saturday 4/30 QOTD- What is your favorite treat that is healthy for you and fits into staying on track?
I like Lara bars. They are g-f. The yogurt sounded great! I might need to see if I can find it. My very favorite treat is ice cream--I realize not healthy, but I only eat a tiny bit in a custard cup, and I figure it's giving me some protein and calcium, so it can't be all bad, right?;)

I got up and ran 5M this morning, then later went to WW. I was down 3.6, so a very happy weigh in! :woohoo: The tracking really paid off for me. It was a pain to write down everything every day, but so worth it now!

Maria
Congrats Maria!:goodvibes I like BronxNancy too!

:cool1::woohoo::banana::banana::banana: Rose, I am sooooooo happy for you that you were able to get out there, and finish!! I am amazed that with your injury you only added 30 minutes to your pr. You are one determined runner. Sorry it was so painful. I am sure your good knee hurting was from favoring the bad one, so hopefully the ibuprofen will take care of them both, and you will be able to relax comfortably and enjoy the game tonight, and the beers!! As many as you need, girlfriend. You deserve it. And if Mike needs to carry you home, so be it. He loves you. A big congrats to Mike on his time!! That is awesome!!
Have a wonderful night! You should have at least for, for those last 4 miles.
Thanks Kathy! I am feeling much better about things today--even though I was really disappointed with my time, I earned that medal! And the ibuprofen really helped cause luckily Mike did not have to carry me--my knee cooperated and I did not overdo the beer!:goodvibes We had a really good time last night. A girl who sits near us ran the race too, so we talked to her a bit. And the weather was gorgeous--upper 70s.

And I'm really sorry about your friend.

Congrats for finishing rose and pushing yourself through all that pain. Your other knee was probably hurting since you were compensating from the other knee. I am so proud of you for not giving up.

We had a great day. Nick still gets so nervous for the races even though he did 6 or 7 last year. At least this one I ran next to him and he didnt need to hold my hand so we are making progress. Then ryan's race was next. He puts way to much pressure on himself to always win and be the best...yes and he is only 6 I know. So he came off the start running really fast and was in 3rd place for the first half of the race....he then made the turn to come back and I could just see he was falling back and sucking wind. By the time he got to us he looked like he was going to cry. He ran past us a few steps and then turned around with tears in his eyes saying his belly hurt. I ran a few steps with him and told him just to finish even if he has to walk the rest. He walked for a few seconds and then finished it running hard. He was so disappointed in himself. My dh and I told him we were so proud of him for finishing and that he doesnt have to be the winner or be the fastest. I can see this is going to be an issue for him throughout his life. He just has that drive to win. I dont think that is a bad thing but Im sure it will have its negatives as he ages.

I hope it goes well today Lindsay! And I agree with Buffy, Nick will learn to channel his energy. He sounds like a smart kid--you need to teach him about negative splits and how you can pass people at the end if you hold back a little energy.:thumbsup2

Congratlulations on finishing! :cool1: I'm so sorry your knee is bothering you, I hope you can get that resolved soon. I can't wait to hear your race report. Have fun tonight! We are going to a baseball game tomorrow, finally, our first of the season. Unfortunately its supposed to be cold tomorrow. Congrats to Mike on finishing under 2 hours!

Good luck to Lindsay tomorrow!
Have fun today! And thank you. :goodvibes

Rose:  for finishing! I'm so proud of you! :worship: Hope your knees feel better.

Lindsay: :goodvibes for tomorrow!

Today was a decent day. I was hoping to go the gym, but my trip to the bank took way too long and I needed to be home by a certain time. It ended up being okay because I didn't eat much at all today. I still have 10 points left for the day and no appetite. I got plenty of fruit and veggies in and enough protein. I'm not sure what the scale will bring this week. My eating has truly been all over the place.

Well, I have a busy day tomorrow and what looks to be a busy week at work, so I best get some sleep. Night!
Thanks CC. Sounds like you are having a good week.

So I realized yesterday I stayed on plan food wise. Forgot to journal it, but I stayed on!!

Tonight, I love water and broccoli!! LOL I just chugged 16 oz of water while making dinner and I ate my broccoli first, I can't finish my pork chop or the pasta roni.

I also did week 5 day 2 on C25K. 5 minute warm up, 8 minute run, 5 minute walk, 8 minute run, 5 minute cool down. I Did it!!! I did 2 miles in 31:42 which averaged a 16:11 minute/mile pace. Which is awesome!!!!
My shins will force me to run, LOL They kill if I walk so I kinda slow jog/speed walk in the walking intervals. Still having trouble lifting my left foot. I really need to will it to lift, but it's not as bad as it used to be. Tomorrow I will just do a walk. Monday is a 20 minute run for W5D3. I'm nervous!!! But I think I can do it!!
Today's quote on C25K was Never, never, never give up!! - Winston Churchill.
I had to keep saying it over and over in my head.
I also told myself I deserved that medal. I was not going to let DS down, I was not going to let myself down!!!!! And I kept saying Damn it I want that medal!!! Next thing I know...... my 8 minutes were up!!

I think I will bring my iPod and headphones with me. I'll keep one earbud in so I can hear music, it really does help.

I hope everyone has a great night and a fantastic Sunday!!!
Thanks Buffy! You can do it! And I use lots of mantras to keep myself going. There was actually an article in Runners World a couple of months ago. I'll see if I can find it. Yesterday, from like mile 5-9 I had to break things into 90 second intervals just to keep going. I would tell myself--just get through the next 90 seconds, repeat, over and over. And I know you not going to let anyone down.

*****
I was sooooo tired last night. What a week it has been. I feel much more motivated to get back on track, get my house cleaned up and get my food/meals organized. I am so glad this race is over and I'm really looking forward to getting my legs heeled! I am tired of sore knees.

For all you new runners, despite running 13 miles, my weight is up today. And I know I did not eat too much! Mike says my body is holding on to fluids to clean out all the junk from all the muscles that were broken down yesterday during the run. Hopefully in a day or two I will see a nice loss.:goodvibes

Thank you for all the support over the last couple of weeks. I have not liked being around myself, so you all are sweet for putting up with me.:goodvibes gave a great Sunday!

Good morning friends!

Hope you're all enjoying your weekends. We are blessed with a dry weekend, and the sun is beaming this morning. The trees have all bloomed this week.

Had a fun day of baseball yesterday. DS's game was delayed a half hour because of the parade and opening ceremony, and it went 2 hours until the next game. We got in 5 and a half innings, and our team won by a lot, so the boys were happy. For this level now, we're supposed to do a full 6 innings. I had gotten excited when I saw the schedule and his last game is early 6/11, but found out yesterday we go to playoffs, so there will be more games after that, but they promise we're done by the fourth of july.

After the game we hung by the snack bar and chatted with other people from other games. It was a fun day, and when we got home, I did some much needed yard work. I want to get some grass seed planted before we get lots of rain this week, so I'm going to get out there again this morning, and then meet my friend for a walk/run at 11:30.

My eating was ok but I didn't journal yesterday, so today I have it all ready to go, and will journal for the rest of the week. I'm happy ds's games this week are both my short work days, so I will be able to feed him a good supper before we go. It's too easy to go through mcd's drivethru during baseball season, so I'm happy we have our once a month rule, which I will stick to. I was thinking I'll get some frozen bagels for ds and he can have them with egg beaters or ham and cheese on some of the nights we're pressed for time.

Welcome back, Michelle. Congratulations on your newest little princess.:cloud9: You must be a very busy mom with 4 little girls. It's great to see you back!

We'll have to think about this a bit. Once things calm down, I'll pm you and maybe we can put together a plan. I definitely don't want it to be something that causes anyone more stress!he
I was half joking about the stress. My house causes me the stress when I let it get out of hand, and a challenge would really be so helpful to me.

I am so happy the race is over for you, and you did so well. I'm sure the anticipation of the race coming up had affected you over the past few weeks, and I hope that happy, positive Rose is back now!!:goodvibes I have heard that about muscles breaking down during long runs too, so I am sure that is all it is. Glad you had such a nice night.

Good luck today, Lindsay!!:goodvibes Hope it's a beautiful there as it is here this morning. Poor little Ryan putting the pressure on himself. Michael used to be like that with baseball and school work, and got so upset if he struck out, or got something wrong on his homework, but as he's getting older, he seems to be much better about it. I'm sure with your help, he will learn to celebrate his accomplishments.

I think you're doing great with the eating, cc. So impressed with your resolve and ability to stay within your points each week. I need to follow in your footsteps.

[So I realized yesterday I stayed on plan food wise. Forgot to journal it, but I stayed on!!

I'm so happy for you!! You are so ON!!! You are going to be absolutely fine for the 5k. I love your mantra, and how much it helped get you through the 8 minutes. I am guessing on race day, the excitement of everyone around you and actually running in disney world, the time will just fly by, even if you didn't have the music. I remember the first mile of the princess seemed to fly by. It is so amazing to be there in that exciting atmosphere. I am so excited for you!!:goodvibes

Enjoy your sunday!!:)

Maria and Kathy--love you both! :goodvibes

I finished. And honestly it sucked. My time for Princess 2:12, my time for this one 2:42. And I was in tears the last 4 miles. I was never out of breath or even breathing hard the entire time, but my knee was killing me from about 50 minutes on. It's funny cause up until that point I was on pace to easily be under 2:30 even with run 90sec walk 90sec run. Then something just happened and it hurt so bad. The last four miles I just kept running very slowly cause it hurt so much to stop and start. I poured it on and ran hard across the finish though.:goodvibes

No stomach issues at all.:goodvibes I felt a little yucky when we got home, but once I ate something it went away.

The scary part though, the last two miles my other knee started hurting, too.

I took 2 ibuprofen (which I never do) and it's manageable. We are going to the game tonight and I am having multiple g-f beers. It's been a LONG week.:goodvibes

I will do a race report later, cause 13 miles by yourself leaves a lot of time for introspection.:thumbsup2

Have a great Saturday!

BTW--I will never run that race again. I am done. I have the medal, and one is enough!:thumbsup2

LINDSAY----Have a fabulous race!:goodvibes If I can do it girlfriend, you surely can!!!

And woohoo to Mike--He finished in 1:54!!!!! I am so happy for him
.:goodvibes

I'm glad you were able to finish, but hope that you didn't cause more damage :scared1: Take it easy now and let that knee heal, you DESERVE to let your knee heal. Great job:cool1: Tell Mike that I'm very impressed:thumbsup2

Congrats for finishing rose and pushing yourself through all that pain. Your other knee was probably hurting since you were compensating from the other knee. I am so proud of you for not giving up.

I am now relaxing and preparing myself mentally for my race tomorrow. I am excited! My goal is just to beat my disney princess time. Since I wont be carrying my camera I should be able to do it.:lmao:

Great job to all of you. One of my kids is very competitive. He always has been. It makes it tough sometimes, but as he gets older he better understands that he can't always win but it's all good as long as he does his best :goodvibes

I remember when you found out that you were pregnant. I'm glad that she is here, and healthy :cool1: It's good to see you back.

Sorry if I'm repeating questions.

Sunday QOTD 5/1- Wow, I just realized it's may!! I think I need a disney question. : If you were at Disneyland, WDW, or on a Disney cruise right now what would you be doing?

I would be at MK, coming off space mountain after a couple rides and heading to the carousel of progress to relax and let my stomach settle. Then we'd do Buzz, monsters laugh floor, and head over to frontierland through fantasyland and stop along the way at the rides with short lines, hopefully small world and haunted mansion. We'd fastpass on of the mountains, and wait for the other, and then head toward Crystal Palace for our late lunch there, with our conveniently timed adr so we have time to pirates along the way.

I'm dealing with my diet frustrations today. I haven't lost anything in days and even gained. I've been totally on track so it makes me angry. I think the difference might be that the first week we didn't have anything that we could quickly grab and had to cook breakfast as well as lunch and dinner. Last Sunday I bought so Atkins breakfast bars and shakes. We've been having a bar for breakfast then a shake for snack. I'm wondering if the sugar alcholols that are subtracted from the total carbs might be a problem for my body. I must say that they are tastey. I make try to cook up some eggs and breakfast meats today to have for quick breakfasts this week and see if that makes a difference. I'm also probably PMSing, I've never noticed it effecting the entire week leading up to TOM so it probably isn't so likely. :confused3 I'm not throwing in the towel, I'm not giving myself a day off, I'm just going to keep swimming.

On a happier note, we moved our camper closer to the house (it's summer parking spot) and opened it up yesterday. I need to wash all the bedding and use some liquid gold on all the wood in their. We are so excited to go camping. This camper was brand new at the end of the summer last year so we've only camped one weekend in it so far. We asked family for specific items for it for Christmas and put all of those together yesterday. The new portable grill is amazing (Cuisinart) and the new area rug matches perfectly :goodvibes I feel like a giddy school girl and my husband is equally as bad :lmao:

Happy Sunday!

Had a great time out with redwalker and her DH. Brian and I got to Fire and Ice early so we each had a large mudslide!!! LOVED IT!!! Then red and her DH arrived so we each ordered a drink for 2 and started with a salad and then we went up to the food three times. The guy at the grill teased us on our 3rd trip! Red's DH went up a fourth time! I don't think I over did it. I had small portions of meat and lots of mushrooms each time and some other veggies. After dinner we walked around and bit and the boys got ice cream and the girls got lattes and hot chocolate. Then it was time for us to hop back on the subway to head home.

Heading out in an hour to get recital tickets and then I'll go to Target, the Paper Store to try and find a royal wedding edition of Hello!, stop at the Marshall's DSIL works at as she said they had Crocs cheap. Then I will pick up the girls and then take them to the party. I hope to be home by 5. We will then watch Dr. Who from last night all together.

It's beautiful out today! Only 55 as of right now! Hoping it warms up a speck!

Going to be a busy week for me! Tomorrow I'm going to do some work around here and then Izzie will be home. May run some errands when she gets home. Tuesday I have to work. Wednesday is really going to be crazy! I have a field day mtg, then walk with Redwalker and then take Izzie to a playdate. She has dancing at 4 and I know I'm forgetting something else!

Tomorrow is when I get back on plan! I have pretty much taken two weeks off from my workouts so I need to get moving again. Need to start today by drinking lots of H20! I've been slacking off on that! I'm halfway through my first bottle now. I just set the alarm for 5! I will also walk to the wellness center after Izzie gets on the bus. I need to get myself some protein bars at Target today so I don't eat crap when I'm hungry!

Need to get my shower in and get ready to head out!

TTFN :tigger:

Make them in cupcake tins. (little mini quiches w/o bread)
Bake for 25-30 min on 350.

I throw them into a ziploc bag then each morning we microwave them for 30-45 seconds. You can use a fork or eat it like a cupcake.

I spray the pan really well so no sticking.

Hope this helps with your morning routine!

That is fabulous. I will definitely be making those later today. DH is totally onboard too.

Deb I really hope it helps. I think it has really been key for our atkins diet.

We buy the bars and shakes as well. I think that the bars are good but I do not like the shakes. I think I did read to keep those items to 2 a day.

Another thing that i like is the Breyers Carb smart bars and ice cream. They are not easy to find, but my Walmart does carry them.

Good Luck!
Nancy

Hi all!

Been a LONG day! Girls are exhausted from the weekend! Especially Izzie who is so over tired and either suffering from the beginnings of a cold or allergies. I thought for sure she would fall asleep early today! I think she is asleep now! Ash is reading and overtired as well.

NEED YOUR OPINIONS:

My parents' 13 year old dog is coming to the end. My mother told me today that Chrissy would not be coming "home" with them when they come in mid-June. We're not sure when to tell the kids. Should we tell them now to prepare them or wait until she does pass away? I will definitely tell them before my parents come as it will be hard enough for my parents! She has been a wonderful dog and companion for them. They got her while I was on my honeymoon. She replaced me in their house when I got married. She has NEVER growled at the kids and has just been the best dog. The girls adore her so I just don't know when to tell them! WHAT DO YOU ALL SUGGEST?

Watching Amazing Race and eating chips! I just want them out of the house and I'm planning on get back into weight loss mode tomorrow! I don't dare repeat what the scale said this morning! PMS is part of that. I think I can be ok tomorrow. I also found mint chocolate chip protein bars today so I'm psyched to have those!

I'm exhausted too so I'm going to sign off for the night!

I made a batch tonight and they look and smell wonderful. I made a batch of crepes for the boys so breakfasts should be all set for the week :thumbsup2 When I bought the Atkins shakes I also bought the slim fast low carb shakes. The Slim Fast Vanilla is delicious. Only 2 g of carbs which is lower than the Atkins ones.

TTFN :tigger:

I think that I would warn the girls that the dog is getting old and explain any medical issues that she may be having. That way when the time comes they will at least have been prepared. Our boys have been through the deaths of all 3 of their beloved pets. It was not easy, but they knew how old and sick they each were and it didn't take them too long to recover. They'd still like another pet, but with out hectic schedules it makes no sense.

:wave2: Checking in! Been a very busy week. I got a cleaning bug and have been cleaning and organizing our junk rooms. Yes, rooms! We moved here about 6 years ago and I have 2 rooms that were the "I don't know where to put it, just throw it in there" But they are huge projects. One is where all of my teaching and homeschooling things are and I never really filed stuff back, jut threw it all in boxes. So I have days and days of filing ahead of me. I am reorganizing everything. A bunch of stuff is going to be put in the attic and a bunch is going in my garage sale next weekend and will go to the local donation place if not sold.

I was also glued to the Royal Wedding shows all week! Really loved it.

Didn't have a loss this week, well unless you count the 3 that I gained over Easter weekend! So I am at a maintain for the week and completely happy with that. Determined to be down at least one this coming week. My hip is feeling better so I am going to try to get to the gym this week.

My scrapping friends will appreciate my find this week. Our Ben Franklin is going out of business so we went to see what was going on. Totally bummed they are leaving but they are selling off the fixtures. My brain went  and asked if they were going to sell their Scrapbook paper racks. YEP! :cool1: I got one and may see if they have any others available tomorrow. DH was giving me the hairy eyeball over the one so I will have to sneak a 2nd one if they have it! :rolleyes1

I hope everyone is doing great!:cheer2:

Hi everyone, we're back from NH so I wanted to check the dis before bed. Kathy has been so nice to let me split the week coaching with her, so I'll hop back on tomorrow morning first thing with a QOTD.

Hope everyone had a nice weekend :goodvibes

Sue- Hope you are all rested up from tax season. Looking like a warm week out here. :thumbsup2

This weekend was just gorgeous. We went for 3 walks it was so nice. I could have done without the black flies in NH, but I guess it's like that every April/May.

Anyhow, been feeling kind of blue and very stressed and it was nice to get really sweaty. And no pain, which was fabulous!:thumbsup2

Hope you're feeling better

My grandfather's surgery was today and he is recovering. Thanks for all the well wishes. There is some complicated family politics going on with his care and I just hope that everyone does whats best for him.

In good Disney news, we are officially going to DL for 2 1/2 days before our nephew's wedding in Palm Springs in October. We are getting annual passes and I can't wait to ride the new Star Tours and Little Mermaid! We just couldn't stay away!

Hope your grandfather's surgery went well.

Yay for DL :cool1:

So I tried C25K week 5 day 1 today, just to see if I could do it, and I DID!!!!!

Great job :thumbsup2

we are leaving tomorrow for DC for the weekend. my friend lauren is staying with thomas so this will be john and my first weekend away together since before he was born! i'm actually incredibly nervous about leaving the little guy. my friend lauren is great with kids and i trust her. but, you know, i'll just be nervous. we're going to my friend's wedding. should be fun! but of course i'll have to spill the beans about being pregnant since i won't be drinking. it's going to be GREAT to see a bunch of my college friends! my one friend works at the white house and managed to arrange for us to have a special tour of the white house. fun!

next weekend we leave for hawaii! i went to target and got a million little things to try to keep thomas entertained on the plane. stickers, crayons, a little toy train, etc etc. i made the mistake of doing a search on the dis board about benadryl and plane flights. shoo! i'm glad i didn't ask if anyone has done that before on the Families board!

Hope you had a great time in DC and have a wonderful time in Hawaii. Where in Hawaii are you going and for how long?

Today completly finished

I love the changes that you made. The darker wood is a great upgrade.

Here I am.

You look beautiful. I love your dress

Saturday 4/30 QOTD- What is your favorite treat that is healthy for you and fits into staying on track?

Hmmm... I love vitatops and I think I learned about them here during the last challenge. See, I found good friends and good food :goodvibes

Another good week. I lost 3 pounds this week.

Nice work

Oh my Goodness. I LOVE Chobani Pineapple Yogurt. It always feels like I am eating dessert -- it is just so yummy!!!

Okay that's 2 votes fo pineapple chobani. I'm going to have to try it. I actually like the little kids mixed fruit chobani and then found the strawberry banana adult one, so I'll have to check out the pinapple one next.

I finished. And honestly it sucked.

But, you finished. Be proud, that's great :goodvibes

It's so frustrating when you do everything right and the scale doesn't show you what you deserve. You have the best attitude, just keep swimming, and don't give up! That dang scale will reward you eventually. How exciting to have a new camper. Do you have your first camping trip planned?

Had a great time out with redwalker and her DH. Brian and I got to Fire and Ice early so we each had a large mudslide!!! LOVED IT!!! Then red and her DH arrived so we each ordered a drink for 2 and started with a salad and then we went up to the food three times. The guy at the grill teased us on our 3rd trip! Red's DH went up a fourth time! I don't think I over did it. I had small portions of meat and lots of mushrooms each time and some other veggies. After dinner we walked around and bit and the boys got ice cream and the girls got lattes and hot chocolate. Then it was time for us to hop back on the subway to head home.
on plan!
Sounds like a really fun night out. You probably don't get out without the kids very often, so I'm glad you enjoyed it. Do I sense the energizer bunny coming back this week?

I make this every sunday to help with breakfast

18 eggs (mix them a to scramble)
16 oz of shredded cheddar cheese
1 lb of cooked and cooked sausage

Make them in cupcake tins. (little mini quiches w/o bread)
Bake for 25-30 min on 350.

I throw them into a ziploc bag then each morning we microwave them for 30-45 seconds. You can use a fork or eat it like a cupcake.

I spray the pan really well so no sticking.
This sounds really good, Nancy. I think I'll make some later this week. Do you freeze them too? I had picked up some breakfast hot pockets for ds to have on occasion, which he loved, but I'd prefer to make something healthier like your recipe.

So sorry about your parents dog. It's so tough to lose a pet, a family member. I agree with Deb about telling the kids soon, so they know it is coming, and it won't be a total shock when he passes. They could even make some cards to send to the Chrissy if they wanted, and I'm sure you mom and dad would love that too.

Nice job on the organizing. I think losing your 3 easter pounds definitely counts. I gained 3 also, lost 2, but gained them back, so you're ahead of me. Glad the hips feeling better.:thumbsup2

Bummer on the flies, but it sounds like you had a great weekend in spite of them.

Welcome Coach Sue, and thank you for coaching the rest of the week. :goodvibes

It's been fun coaching this weekend. Had a productive day. Did 3 miles with my friend, visited my niece who just came home from france after a 2 week exchange program. She looked exhausted, but had a blast. I did a bunch of yard work, trimmed all the bushes and raked, planted grass seed, and am so happy. I sat on my porch for a while and read and had a mike hard lemonade after I was done. I hate yard work, but kind of like organizing in the house, it is good for the psyche. And after a few days off, I did journal my food again today, including the 5 points for the mikes. Don't think it's really worth that many points, but it did taste good.

Have a great night everyone!!

Well my plan to get up and work out tomorrow has just been shot to heck. I should go to bed but I just can't tear myself away from the TV and computer.:surfweb:

Good Monday morning Teams. It has been a busy couple of days. Sorry I haven't had a chance to get on.

Friday was my last day with my student teacher. It will be strange this morning not seeing her walk into my classroom.

Saturday was sewing pillowcases for kids with cancer. We finished up the day with 111 for the cause. I still have to measure and add up all the fabric that was donated from our quilt shop.

Yesterday was church. I then went with dh and mowed my sil's lawn. The first time of the season. we both came home and took a nap. ds cooked burgers for dinner.

My eating this weekend hasn't been great but not ovver the top.

AP testing starts today. My kids test is Wed morning. I took Wed off since if I am in the building I get too nervous. I am taking my parents to visit some relatives. They do this once a month and 4 of us take turns doing this. I usually do it in the summer but this was a good chance to get out of the building.

On Friday I am going to the Museum of Natural History in NYC. We are getting a personal tour because of a class we are took last summer.

Sunday QOTD It is early but this is when I usually get up. I would be reading in bed thinking about the day waiting for the food court to open at 6 for a cup of tea. In my mind it is EMH for MK and I would be there at the starrt to get all of Fantasyland in and then off to SM and then around to Splash and BTM

Off to get the day started.

Have a happy and healthy day.

Good morning fellow losers, I will be your coach for the rest of the week!

Hope everyone had a nice weekend, it sounds like everyone was busy busy busy :goodvibes

Hi Kathy,
Thank you so much for offering to let me coach the rest of the week. I hope I can do as good a job as you did. Thanks for coaching so far this week.

Hmmmm 5 points you say? That sounds tasty. I'm a fan of the black cherry Mike's. Have you tried them? My mother recently bought the spiced apple Mike's. It tasted good at first kind of like spiced apple cider, but I didn't end up finishing it.

Have a great day today, I'll keep my eyes out for you if you're walking or running. It feels a little chilly, but the birds are chirping away, so I think it's going to be a nice one.

Well my plan to get up and work out tomorrow has just been shot to heck. I should go to bed but I just can't tear myself away from the TV and computer.:surfweb:

Oh oh, hope it's nothing serious and hopefully you wake up and things have turned for the better while you slept :goodvibes

Good morning, sounds like you had a busy weekend as well. Great job with the pillow cases, that was such a nice thing to do.

My eating wasn't very good this weekend either, so I'm going to put it behind me and hopefully make good choices for the rest of the week.

Good luck on Wednesday, I know they'll do well!

Time for today's QOTD. Hopefully this one hasn't been done this round, but since I know a couple of us are currently in Disney, or are planning on going soon, I thought I'd throw this out there.
