I had a NSV today. A few weeks ago I got a new black sweater from Old Navy. It didn't fit perfectly, but if I bought a bigger size the sleeves and shoulders would have been too big. I wore it for the first time today and it fits perfectly! For the first time in way too long, I liked the way I look! So excited!
Have a great day tomorrow everyone! (Need sleep...)
This is terrific!!
Saturday 4/30 QOTD- What is your favorite treat that is healthy for you and fits into staying on track?
Well..... for really healthy it would be fresh fruit cup.... watermelon, grapes, blueberries, strawberries, pineapple..... all together.
Slightly less healthy.... a mini sundae made with one of those Skinny Cow individual ice cream cups, a squirt of caramel sauce, a plop of Cool Whip free and rainbow sprinkles!!
Pamela -- The pyramids were my first thought, but I decided to branch out and go for Russia this time. It's distinctly possible that if we were both every really granted this day, we could be meeting each other -- I get dibs on 1981 Harrison Ford as my guide

I stayed as AS Sports for the Princess in Feb., and I thought Surf's Up looks really fun. Love the pool area and the cool surf board decorations. I stayed in TouchDown!, and that was fine, too. A quick walk to the food court, and no noise from the pool. Also close to the baseball pool, which is great for quiet sunning. It is a quick walk to the other All Star resorts, if want to explore. I did that one morning and enjoyed the big icons. Oh! And Congratulations on Skinny You!

I know how hard you have worked to make it happen!
I got up and ran 5M this morning, then later went to WW. I was down 3.6, so a very happy weigh in!

The tracking really paid off for me. It was a pain to write down everything every day, but so worth it now!
Maria
Looking forward to AS Sports... especially since they accepted my room request to be in the "Surf's Up" section (supposed to be "preferred location", but I refuse to pay extra).
See how tracking the food works out!!?? I know it can be a bit of a PITA to get used to, but honestly.... it works wonders and it becomes less of a pain after a while. It just becomes a habit.... and you develop your own shorthand and your own "system" to make it quicker. My food journal has had a permanent "spot" on the kitchen counter for years now. The entire family KNOWS that is where Mom's food journal goes and you leave it alone!
Maria and Kathy--love you both!
I finished. And honestly it sucked. My time for Princess 2:12, my time for this one 2:42. And I was in tears the last 4 miles. I was never out of breath or even breathing hard the entire time, but my knee was killing me from about 50 minutes on. It's funny cause up until that point I was on pace to easily be under 2:30 even with run 90sec walk 90sec run. Then something just happened and it hurt so bad. The last four miles I just kept running very slowly cause it hurt so much to stop and start. I poured it on and ran hard across the finish though.
No stomach issues at all.

I felt a little yucky when we got home, but once I ate something it went away.
The scary part though, the last two miles my other knee started hurting, too.
I took 2 ibuprofen (which I never do) and it's manageable. We are going to the game tonight and I am having multiple g-f beers. It's been a LONG week.
I will do a race report later, cause 13 miles by yourself leaves a lot of time for introspection.
Have a great Saturday!
BTW--I will never run that race again. I am done. I have the medal, and one is enough!
LINDSAY----Have a fabulous race!
If I can do it girlfriend, you surely can!!!
And woohoo to Mike--He finished in 1:54!!!!! I am so happy for him.
Glad you got through the race and have the medal to prove it! And WOOHOO to Mike on a GREAT time! But I'm so sorry about the pain. Hope the g-f beer was enjoyable!!
So I realized yesterday I stayed on plan food wise. Forgot to journal it, but I stayed on!!
Tonight, I love water and broccoli!! LOL I just chugged 16 oz of water while making dinner and I ate my broccoli first, I can't finish my pork chop or the pasta roni.
I also did week 5 day 2 on C25K. 5 minute warm up, 8 minute run, 5 minute walk, 8 minute run, 5 minute cool down. I Did it!!! I did 2 miles in 31:42 which averaged a 16:11 minute/mile pace. Which is awesome!!!!
My shins will force me to run, LOL They kill if I walk so I kinda slow jog/speed walk in the walking intervals. Still having trouble lifting my left foot. I really need to will it to lift, but it's not as bad as it used to be. Tomorrow I will just do a walk. Monday is a 20 minute run for W5D3. I'm nervous!!! But I think I can do it!!
Today's quote on C25K was Never, never, never give up!! - Winston Churchill.
I had to keep saying it over and over in my head.
I also told myself I deserved that medal. I was not going to let DS down, I was not going to let myself down!!!!! And I kept saying Damn it I want that medal!!! Next thing I know...... my 8 minutes were up!!
I think I will bring my iPod and headphones with me. I'll keep one earbud in so I can hear music, it really does help.
I hope everyone has a great night and a fantastic Sunday!!!

You are doing SO GREAT!!!
Hi guys. My name is Michelle and I was on here a few challenges ago and had planned on coming back for the next challenge when God interceded and gave us our 4th baby girl! It was a suprise but now that she is here I can't imagine not having her. She is 4 weeks old and just beautiful. Her name is Loralei Victoria Abagail and she is wonderful.
I can't wait to start getting back on track with my health. Luckily I dodn't gain any weight during the pregancy and I am a few pounds lighter now than when I got pregnant. I have a long way to go and can't wait to join with you guys again.
I will e mail my weight tomorrow, (yuck) and hope that I can join with you guys and we can all get healthy together.
Hope everyone has a great night. My tiniest monster is sleeping so I am going to try and get in a wink or 2 before she realizes I'm not holding her!
Welcome back!! Congratulation on the baby!
Sorry if I'm repeating questions.
Sunday QOTD 5/1- Wow, I just realized it's may!! I think I need a disney question. : If you were at Disneyland, WDW, or on a Disney cruise right now what would you be doing?
I would be at MK, coming off space mountain after a couple rides and heading to the carousel of progress to relax and let my stomach settle. Then we'd do Buzz, monsters laugh floor, and head over to frontierland through fantasyland and stop along the way at the rides with short lines, hopefully small world and haunted mansion. We'd fastpass on of the mountains, and wait for the other, and then head toward Crystal Palace for our late lunch there, with our conveniently timed adr so we have time to pirates along the way.
Well.... next Monday night at this time I will be flying home...

It will be over so fast! But if I were there RIGHT NOW.... I would probably be finishing up a few last rides before we grab some CS dinner and secure our piece of real estate before the evening parade (assuming I'm at MK).
I'm dealing with my diet frustrations today. I haven't lost anything in days and even gained. I've been totally on track so it makes me angry. I think the difference might be that the first week we didn't have anything that we could quickly grab and had to cook breakfast as well as lunch and dinner. Last Sunday I bought so Atkins breakfast bars and shakes. We've been having a bar for breakfast then a shake for snack. I'm wondering if the sugar alcholols that are subtracted from the total carbs might be a problem for my body. I must say that they are tastey. I make try to cook up some eggs and breakfast meats today to have for quick breakfasts this week and see if that makes a difference. I'm also probably PMSing, I've never noticed it effecting the entire week leading up to TOM so it probably isn't so likely.

I'm not throwing in the towel, I'm not giving myself a day off, I'm just going to keep swimming.
On a happier note, we moved our camper closer to the house (it's summer parking spot) and opened it up yesterday. I need to wash all the bedding and use some liquid gold on all the wood in their. We are so excited to go camping. This camper was brand new at the end of the summer last year so we've only camped one weekend in it so far. We asked family for specific items for it for Christmas and put all of those together yesterday. The new portable grill is amazing (Cuisinart) and the new area rug matches perfectly

I feel like a giddy school girl and my husband is equally as bad
GIve yourself some time..... remember, being a lady comes with lots of monthly hormonal adjustments!! Just keep up what you have been doing right and things WILL work out on the scale.
Happy Day for the camper!! DS and I would LOVE to find a tiny camper/trailer for just two! He and I love our Mother/Son camping time, but tenting it is getting old....especially when it rains!!
Monday's QOTD - Since vacations are often for having fun and letting go of your diet somewhat, what little things do you do while on vacation (Disney or other) to keep you on track with the challenge while you enjoy yourself?
I stay on track with what I can (light breakfasts, exercise) and splurge and enjoy the "special" vacation treats (like Mickey bars and Dole Whips). The last three years running I've exercised 5-6 days out of the 8 of our family lake vacation.....just helps me keep things on track and in control. But I still splurge on special vacation foods.
I totally skip anything not real special though. Just cause it's Disney doesn't mean I need to eat every french fry I see!!
Good Morning Everyone!
Its back to work for me today. ugghhh! I officially completed my 2nd half marathon yesterday

My princess half was 3:12 and yesterdays time was 2:48. It wasnt hard to go faster considering I had nothing to take pictures of.

I am pretty sore today but it feels good in a wierd way. I am proud of myself for doing it.
I feel like my first race I proved to myself that I can do it and this second race I proved to everyone else that I can do it too. Like the first one wasnt just a fluke. Im not sure what my 3rd half will represent but Im sure I will figure it out over the 13 miles I will run by myself....like rose said running for that long of a time along allows for plenty of self reflection.
Have a great day!!!!
Great job with the race!!
********DISCLAIMER! Not that it makes a big difference, but when I posted about my weight loss on Friday, I should have said that I had a TWO in the
TENS place....not the ones place!! OOPS! But it was sweet of so many of you to send me big congratulations nonetheless!!!
Took another peek at the scale Saturday morning and was done a few more tenths and then as of Sunday I was down that full pound I had been looking for....but I'm sticking with my Friday weight for the "official" number.
Gotta run. TTYL.....................P
