Biggest Loser 11 Spring Team Challenge--for Losers and Maintainers

Good morning all! :goodvibes

I've been back from Arizona for a couple of days but lots of crazy times here so haven't had a chance to catch up. Trying to keep all the balls in the air but a few are dropping and bouncing around a bit. ;)

Hi guys. My name is Michelle and I was on here a few challenges ago and had planned on coming back for the next challenge when God interceded and gave us our 4th baby girl! It was a suprise but now that she is here I can't imagine not having her. She is 4 weeks old and just beautiful. Her name is Loralei Victoria Abagail and she is wonderful.

Congratulations on your precious new one and :welcome: back! I, too, remember when you found out she was on the way.

Shawn, so glad that you enjoyed your vacation and have working appliances again! :laundy:

I'm back at it today. I missed my workout this morning, but at least I'm tracking my food and I'm aware and in control.

Maria, you're back at it and in control so it's all good! :goodvibes You can do it!

at the wedding i finally spilled to my friends that i'm pregnant. they were all really happy and excited. my one friend's wife says, "i knew it! i thought you were gaining weight!" WHAAAAATTT???? first off, this gal is not exactly thin. secondly, i weigh the same right now as i did at my wedding. she hasn't seen me at this weight in a long time! i weigh 135! i worked hard to get down to this weight! last time she saw me i was probably 150 (i had just had a baby).

talk about a rude comment. how does one react to that!?!

Say sweetly "Oh-oh, do you have baby weight, too?" ;) Bless your heart, Nancy, I think you looked great in February. Have a wonderful time in Hawaii.

Keep up all the effort, everyone! The end is actually in sight and we all just have to kick it into high gear and maintain the momentum each day. :cool1:

::yes:: You are so right, Cam. Hope things calm down for you.

Pamela, have a wonderful time on your mother/daughter trip. :cool2:Hope DD feels better soon.

OK I feel like I'm talking to myself LOL

But here goes.

I DID IT!!!!!!!!!!

I ran 3.2 miles!!! I did a 5K!!!!
I ran (except for my 5 minute warm up walk) for 48 minutes and 42 seconds.
I kept a 15:13 pace!!!!!!!

I started out planning to do the 20 minutes, but when I surpassed the 1 mile mark and was closing in on the 1/2 way point, I said what the hell let's try it!! And I did it!!

:woohoo: Buffy! You are going to rock EE! :yay:

Deb, glad that you figured out what was going on. All that staying on track will pay off for you soon! :thumbsup2

I am really stress eating. I'm trying really hard not to, but I start thinking about things and then feel like food is the answer.

, CC. If food was the answer all of our problems would have been solved a long time ago. :hippie:

Dona, if you find that magic formula let us know! :goodvibes

Tuesday's QOTD - With less than 3 weeks left in the challenge, is there anything that you plan on doing differently with the time we have left to end the challenge on a high note?

This is a great question, Sue. I've been maintaining for the past few weeks and kind of thought I would do the same but I think I will pull myself together here. I have a couple of big runs left for my half at the end of the month which will help in the exercise area. I'm going to lose 5 pounds before the end of the challenge to get set up for a good start for summer. :yay:

Have a wonderful time on your cruise! :beach:

Lots of us are struggling, but it's so good to see everyone still here, still trying, one day at a time. We must never give up!! Anything worth having is worth working for, and I think that is true about this weight loss journey. Keep it up everyone!! We can do it!!

::yes:: That's the important part -- that we are all still here! :thumbsup2

I DID IT!!!
Last Saturday I did my first 5K (timed with a number and real people doing it too!!) I walked the entire thing without stopping and managed to do it in 49.30 minutes which looks like 15.40 per mile!! I didn't come in dead last ( there were 7 people behind me) but I thought I would feel ashamed at being so far back in the pack...but I was just excited that I was able to finish :cool1:

:woohoo:, Karen! I'm so proud of you! It's a wonderful feeling to do something that you never dreamed you could do. :hippie:

Have a great day all!

Hi all! I've been MIA for a while, it seems that life just instantly got a little crazy. We were in the beginnings of the storm that nearly wiped out Alabama, they started here in Central Texas. A tornado touched down about a mile away from the house, we were in the closet most of the night, I think there was a total of 15 tornadoes that formed in our immediate area. Scared the crap out my husband and I :scared1: We don't have tornadoes in our hometown, so this was a new frightening experience for us, caused me two major panic attacks :sad2:

I've also taken on the task of redecorating our house :woohoo: and have taken on a LOT of diy projects that I'm very excited about :thumbsup2 Got into a little bit of tiff with DH about it, he didn't think there was anything wrong with our house now, but I told him it was all brown and honestly, it was starting to make me really depressed. He jumped on board after that and we went to the flea market on Sunday and picked up some really fun items that I will be stripping and re-staining over the next couple of weeks :cool1: I also explained to him that crafty people, like myself, need to have projects going on constantly, otherwise we tend to feel "cooped" up, having no place to let out our creative tendencies :). You crafty people know what I mean :rotfl:.

Diet wise is still going okay, as is exercising. I'm losing a lot of motivation, but I'm still plowing ahead. I decided this week (and this week only) I'm going to give myself a break. I decided to still work out, but only 3 days this week. Kind of let my subconscious take over and not let it be my only focus this week.

We'll see how it goes!

Have a great day everyone! Congrats on all that have ran/walked in races these past two weeks, you're doing a great job! Keep up the good work everyone! :cheer2:

Nicole :flower3:

OMG!!! I LOST my entire post!!!!. What is going on with the boards lately? From now on, I am going to copy every post while I am composing and before I post. It makes me crazy to lose posts. :(

I'll try to get back here soon to try again. I am soooo unhappy. :sad1:

Hi all!

Been busy at work with tanners and helping my boss with changing bulbs in the tanning beds and getting ready for pedicures. My client is still 40 minutes from now. Got everything set up though.

Ended up having the equivalent of 2 shakes this morning as Brian forgot his and the quiche I set out for him for lunch. I was in the shower when he left so I couldn't remind him

Gorgeous day here so I'm looking forward to my walk at the track tonight. Stopped at CVS this morning and got 2 more magazines on the royal wedding for Ash. People always has good special editions. I asked my mom to bring the Time magazine one too!

Talked to my sister regarding our parents dog and she said Mom and Dad are just enjoying their time they have left with her. The vet said she couldn't make the trip here next month as if she started bleeding she could bleed out and what they do on the road. I think we'll prepare the girls this weekend. We will do some fun stuff after the soccer games on Saturday and break the news to them. My DBIL's father is very sick as well so my sister is dealing with a lot. DSis is also going to talk to my dad about the party I'm throwing for my mom for her b'day. She thought it was a good idea. I'll send out invites after my sister talks to my dad tomorrow.

Menu for the rest of the week: today-frozen pizza. Wednesday- pancakes and sausage, Thursday- Barber Farms chicken kiev or chicken cordon bleu, Friday- frozen fish for Brian and me and orange chicken for Ash, chicken nuggets for Izzie. Saturday- chicken drumsticks, Sunday- food from British Beer Company. It feels good to have that all planned out. I'll go to the grocery store later this week. Need to restock the freezer with meats like chicken and turkey and ground beef and steaks. Of course, the above is always subject to change.

Well, enjoy the rest of your day! I'll be posting results around 8:30ish!

TTFN :tigger:

PS For those that watch BL, just found out that Koli and Ashley from one of the seasons is dating! There's an article in the OK magazine this week about all the couples that are together!

Hello everyone! I've been lurking, but not posting lately. This is the busiest week of my year. I plan the Mother-Daughter Banquet for our church, which is this Thursday evening. So, I am tying up all the loose ends, and making sure everything is ready to go. I am super stressed every year (I'm a Type A personality). So between the stress, a 2 lb. loss last week, and hormonal issues this week, I seriously don't expect the scale to cooperate. (plus, I'm eating at the banquet) If I can just maintain this week, that will be huge!! And for some crazy reason, I always like to heap more pressure on myself at times like this (and the week before vacation, etc...) and I decided our basement absolutely MUST be cleaned out this week :confused3 My poor DH!!! (you should have seen the nesting before the girls were born!!) So, I hope everyone has a great OP week. And now, back to the basement - at least I'm getting a good workout lifting all that junk that accumulated there!!!

QOTD: I'm going to try my best to stay OP over the weekend and still get my workouts in. I know I will be having take out on Sunday for lunch since it's Mother's Day. Not sure what's in the cards yet for Saturday. We have 2 soccer games and I don't know yet if I will have to work. I seem to be working a lot of Saturdays lately so I wouldn't be surprised if I got called in. I have one person today and three people on Thursday so far!

TTFN :tigger:

Good plan! I plan on not eating much Sunday afternoon/evening since we're doing brunch in the morning. Hopefully it lasts me a while.

Have a great day everyone! Drink your water. And for all you dealing with stress eating--try delaying it for 5 minutes. Take a short walk. If you are at work take a bathroom break. Sometimes even a quick break/change of scenery is enough of a distraction. I think it's pretty normal to have the urge to stress eat, we just need to find ways to manage it.:goodvibes

Hi Rose, Happy Tuesday :goodvibes Great advice, you are dead on with distractions.

Perfect qotd for me. I've been playing with the same few pounds for the last 2 months, with ONE-derland not so far away. I feel like a broken record. I need to get my focus back. I am going to write every bite down again. I'm doing good with the exercise again, and I know the eating can follow. I had my physical yesterday and was down 3 pounds this year. My doctor was great and said that was wonderful, since most people gain about 5 pounds a year, so I'm really down 8. Still, I know my running will get faster as i get some weight off. In 6 weeks is the 5k I did last year, and I want to finish in under 40 min. I'm going to make a running plan for the summer to get ready for the half in september, and work increasing my speed before june.

Lots of us are struggling, but it's so good to see everyone still here, still trying, one day at a time. We must never give up!! Anything worth having is worth working for, and I think that is true about this weight loss journey. Keep it up everyone!! We can do it!!

Hope everyone has a great day. :)

You're doing great Kathy. I saw you a couple of times, when I didn't even want to leave the house b/c it was downright cold outside, but you kept up the hard work. And you ran a marathon in Disney, which not many people can say they have done :worship:

I DID IT!!!

Oh thank goodness that you didn't have any damage. That must be so scary to go through

Good job keeping on track with your eating with the stress of tornados added to everything.

OMG!!! I LOST my entire post!!!!. What is going on with the boards lately? From now on, I am going to copy every post while I am composing and before I post. It makes me crazy to lose posts. :(

Grrrr........... I hate that

Sorry to hear about the dog and your DBIL's father  hopefully everything will go well for everyone involved.

Okay, which one is Ashley? I know Koli, but I'm going to have to check this out. I have 5 episodes of this season on the DVR that we'll hopefully get to this weekend.

Here's to looking at the silver lining, good job! I am a lurker at times too, but as long as you're still checking in, then it helps keep your head in the game. Good luck with the basement and enjoy the rest of your Tuesday :goodvibes

Kristina - I forgot to mention how much I love your kitchen!! You must really enjoy working in there! So glad you are enjoying your visit with your Mom and that you are able to be so helpful to her. Has your brother found a new place to live yet?

Yes, I love my kitchen. I've realized after all of the decluttering and figuring out what to keep I have a lot of empty cabinets. :rotfl: I also realized what I need to go buy more of (ie: casserole dishes, cookie sheets, cake pans, etc).

Concerning my brother as far as I know he's living with my dad. My mom has gotten most of her house cleaned, packed up, and organized. Alan is over there today helping her with her yard and getting big stuff out of the attic. I believe she made my brother give her his house key when he came over the other day but not entirely sure. I just know she definately doesn't want him back in her house after all the cleaning she's done. He's dragging his feet with getting all his other junk out of her house. She told him he had until Sunday (this past) to get his stuff out. He took some but not all of it. Then he tells her "Oh I'll come back to get it on Saturday". She told him if he didn't come to get it then either a) she was trashing it or b) she was going to keep it.

So we shall see. I swear some days I feel like my life is a badly written soap opera, :rotfl:

:wave2:

Having a good week so far. I slept late today because I am still trying to catch up on all that I lost with the Royal Wedding and then night before last watching the news updates.

DD11's class went on a field trip today and she didn't want to go so she is spending today in Kindergarten! She did the same thing last year and really enjoyed it. The field trip was 3 hours away and she has severe motion sickness and even with meds the stress and anxiety make her ill so she doesn't want to go on a long bus trip without me. I can't really go as a chaperone because I can't walk long enough and the scooter would be problematic. She had been to where they were going anyway so she had no problems staying behind. I offered to let her stay home for a mom and daughter day but she really loves being with the K class as a helper.

Still doing a whole ton of cleaning. DD15 is having a sleepover party Friday night, have a Garage Sale Saturday morning, and then getting together with the inlaws on Sunday.

I am still trying to get some time to read back here and see what I have missed.

UGH! Was chewing a fruit gum and one of my crowns fell out! Getting it put back in on Thursday morning. Hope it doesn't bother me between now and then.

Gotta get some stuff done!

Bummer! That happened to me this morning too. :sad2: I know that your post was witty, insightful and inspiring even without reading it, Cam.

PS For those that watch BL, just found out that Koli and Ashley from one of the seasons is dating! There's an article in the OK magazine this week about all the couples that are together!

Interesting. I thought Ashley was supposedly hooked up with Michael (the guy who was the winner) but what do I know? :confused3

Sorry about the crown, Tracey. I lost part of a tooth last week chewing a piece of gum so I can totally sympathize!

So, I hope everyone has a great OP week. And now, back to the basement - at least I'm getting a good workout lifting all that junk that accumulated there!!!

Enjoy your banquet! :flower3:

Thanks, I am right there with you on the 5 pounds. How has work been for you?

Work is busy but it's good to be busy, right? :goodvibes I bet that you can't wait for your cruise soon. I'm looking forward to hearing about Castaway Cay. That's definately on my bucket list. :beach:

I believe she made my brother give her his house key when he came over the other day but not entirely sure. I just know she definately doesn't want him back in her house after all the cleaning she's done. He's dragging his feet with getting all his other junk out of her house. It's hard to be the responsible one sometimes.

Hi LTS! :wave2: Sounds like you might have a teacher in your family some day.

We received a letter today from the vice principal chastising us for DS being out for illness for five days this semester. Doesn't that guy know we missed a Disney cruise last week because of school?!? :confused3 :rotfl2:

Kathy--congrats on being down at your DR appt!:goodvibes And I think a running plan is a great idea! You can tell me all about your runs and I will pretend I was running.:goodvibes
I DID IT!!!

I had to push through some pain in my leg around the half way mark, but at the end I felt pretty good. I ended up walking again with my friend on Sunday (we did 2.5 miles at a 19 minute pace) and I STILL felt good! I can't wait to tell my trainer tomorrow! I skipped yesterday to rest (and my hip was bothering me a bit).

Thank You!!!
to all of you who encouraged me to do the race...even when I thought I couldn't. You all have made a difference in my life

Tonight it's back to the gym for spin class and maybe a walk around the block if the rain holds off long enough....

You are soooo right Kathy!! I'm not giving up!! I'm back on the wagon and I want to steer this time...not just be there for the ride ;) Off to get my oatmeal for breakfast!!

Make great choices my friends!!
Congratulations! I love what you said about steering.:goodvibes

Lisa--I hope things aren't too crazy for you.

Nicole :flower3:
Nicole--I am so glad you didn't have any damage from the tornadoes. When we lived in IL we did not have a basement and we had to wait warnings out in the bathroom. It was awful. Here we have a basement. So much better. But warnings are really scary.

Gotta get some stuff done!

I hope it doesn't bother you too much Tracey.

I hope everyone had a great day. I worked and had a pretty productive day. I have been working on my attitude--like when something doesn't go well I am trying not to catrastrophize it. I think we just had so much stressful stuff going on for a while, that I started assuming everything was bad. Does that make sense? So for the first time in a while I came home not feeling overwhelmed and tired, so that was nice.:goodvibes

My chiro said to come in next week. My knee is still pretty sore from Saturday. I am more calm about not being able to run than I thought I would be. I just want to get better.:goodvibes

Have a great evening.:goodvibes

Okay, trying to remember everything I said this morning and to say hi to everyone who has posted since then.
I DID IT!!!!!!!!!!

I ran 3.2 miles!!! I did a 5K!!!!
I ran (except for my 5 minute warm up walk) for 48 minutes and 42 seconds.
I kept a 15:13 pace!!!!!!!
That is so wonderful! Definitely cause for excitement and pride. That pace is terrific, especially for your first 5k!!! :woohoo: Now, you have a base point and if you want to try another one, you are only competing against yourself. Any slight improvement on your time gives you a new PR (personal record). Kudos to you, for sure!

It's a good night. Hunter's lacrosse team finally won a game...It only took 3 years :lmao: DH is the coach so we are all thrilled. It's a first win for both of them :cool1:
Deb – Congrats to Hunter and to DH! I’ll bet that their happiness improved the overall “vibe” of your house, didn’t it? So, how is the new job going? Do you like it? I hope so! :goodvibes

I am really stress eating. I'm trying really hard not to, but I start thinking about things and then feel like food is the answer. I have a really hard time on the drive to and from work. I'm back to drinking electroyltes too. I went through 32 oz. of Powerade Zero and about 20 oz. of electrolte-enhanced water, plus regular water and some tea. I'll have to stop at the store on my way to work again tomorrow morning.

I did make it to the gym tonight. I got in a great workout too. My goal is 5 min. miles on the recumbent bike and I did 6.99 in 35 min. I'll definitely take that!
CC - Stress-eating is something a lot of us do, as you know by now. I am really struggling with it myself and find that if I don’t have anything “bad” around to eat (i.e., at work), it makes me think twice about what I am eating. Is there any way you can put some stuff in your car that wouldn’t be so bad to eat? I am really loving the new WW barbecue potato crisps that they sell at the meeting centers. They are 2 P+ for a bag and there are a lot of crisps in there. I know they are kind of expensive, but still a lot cheaper than any junk food I’d stop to buy. I also find that if I keep fruit in my work tote or my lunch bag to have in the car on the way home, it keeps me satisfied until I can get home to dinner. This is especially important on nights I work late or have to run errands on the way home.
Congrats on keeping up your workouts, too! But if you are like me, I have to remind myself that I am not working out to earn calories to eat, but to BURN calories to lose.
I hope your presentations went well today.

Hang in there Cam, just move on from the bad food and leave it behind you. Good job on the 5K. I'm always impressed when people do lots of running, because I could never get into it :worship:
…. Love the Dole Whips popcorn:: I can't stop reading the food blog and checking out the new thread on the restaurant section with all the cupcake pictures.
Oh, confession time! I don’t run, sweetie. It has been almost a year since the bone and cartilage graft and I can still only do very short jogging intervals. Right now, I have to be content with walking fast and building up my pace and my distance.

Eeek! On a cupcake thread. I am a cupcake addict. And Disney cupcakes are my favorite. I will have to go look for that thread. Since the next time we’ll be in WDW will be in late September/early October, I will fantasize (read: obsess) about WDW cupcakes between now and then. LOL!

It has been a crazy week so far and it is only Tuesday. School has been awful. My classes were half full yesterday because the students started AP testing. I have my yearly meeting today, I have to get ready for being out on Wednesday and Friday and we were told yesterday that someone who has been in the department for 3 years is not coming back next year.
Hi, Dona! I hope school was better today, but I know with AP tests this week and next, it must be frustrating for teachers to accomplish anything in classes where they are missing many of their seniors. Hang in there.

Tuesday's QOTD - With less than 3 weeks left in the challenge, is there anything that you plan on doing differently with the time we have left to end the challenge on a high note?
I am going to step up my exercise routine. I am doing a ½ marathon in August and really want to start conditioning now. I am also back to journaling and have journaled every bite since Sunday after taking 8 days off from this healthy living quest. I am back on track and have been doing well so far.

This is great advice, Rose. I bought some delicious flavored teas and put them in the kitchen here at work. When I feel like I want to stress eat, I make a cup of hot tea and force myself to get through that before thinking of eating something else.
Kathy – If I may impose, I really, really need you to join me in my continuing quest to journal everything every day. :goodvibes I have been doing well since Sunday. Want to join me? I am 7.5 weeks away from leaving for Barcelona and want to journal every day from now until then. Are you in? ;)

….. Thank You!!!
to all of you who encouraged me to do the race...even when I thought I couldn't. You all have made a difference in my life
Kudos to you!!! That is a fabulous pace!! Remember the WISH motto: “Dead Last Finish is Better than Did Not Finish Which Greatly Trumps Did Not Start” Not only did you start, but you finished!!! I hope you will find with time that you enjoy this and that you’ll continue to prove to yourself that you can do anything you set your mind to. Congratulations!

Nicole – I am so sorry you went through such a scary experience, and I am really glad you are safe. Have fun with the re-decorating!

Have fun with the party planning! Hopefully, it will distract everyone from sadness and it will be wonderful for your Mom. I love that you are helping Ash collect royal wedding publications. What fun she’ll have all her life remembering the event and that you shared her enthusiasm.

And for some crazy reason, I always like to heap more pressure on myself at times like this (and the week before vacation, etc...) and I decided our basement absolutely MUST be cleaned out this week
I hope your banquet and the basement cleaning goes well!
Yes, I love my kitchen. I've realized after all of the decluttering and figuring out what to keep I have a lot of empty cabinets. :rotfl: I also realized what I need to go buy more of (ie: casserole dishes, cookie sheets, cake pans, etc).
Kristina – I still haven’t organized my kitchen which was completely renovated 3 years ago! I still have stuff in boxes in the basement and lots of stuff is still illogically stored. Someday I’ll make time to re-organize. I am glad your Mom is standing firm with your brother after how badly he treated her house. How are the furbabies faring?
DD11's class went on a field trip today and she didn't want to go so she is spending today in Kindergarten! I offered to let her stay home for a mom and daughter day but she really loves being with the K class as a helper.
This is so sweet! What a wonderful spirit she has, wanting to help the little ones! I am sure you are very proud of her.

UGH! Was chewing a fruit gum and one of my crowns fell out! Getting it put back in on Thursday morning. Hope it doesn't bother me between now and then.
This sounds painful. EEK! Here’s a hug, Tracey!
Bummer! That happened to me this morning too. :sad2: I know that your post was witty, insightful and inspiring even without reading it, Cam.
We received a letter today from the vice principal chastising us for DS being out for illness for five days this semester. Doesn't that guy know we were supposed to be on a Disney cruise last week?!? :confused3 :rotfl2:
Lisa – You are so sweet! So, I must have missed it. You were supposed to go on a Disney cruise and had to cancel? I can’t imagine!
*****
I hope everyone had a great day. I worked and had a pretty productive day. I have been working on my attitude--like when something doesn't go well I am trying not to catrastrophize it. I think we just had so much stressful stuff going on for a while, that I started assuming everything was bad. Does that make sense? So for the first time in a while I came home not feeling overwhelmed and tired, so that was nice.:goodvibes

My chiro said to come in next week. My knee is still pretty sore from Saturday. I am more calm about not being able to run than I thought I would be. I just want to get better.:goodvibes
This is all wonderful news, Rose. First, I am glad you are feeling more positive. And I think that maybe because you did the half marathon last weekend, you have the confidence now to take some time to completely heal your leg and know that you will definitely get back to your running schedule when it is healed. Thinking of you, my friend!

I DID IT!!!
Last Saturday I did my first 5K (timed with a number and real people doing it too!!)

Good for you!!!!! Im very proud of you for doing it. Great job.

Talked to my sister regarding our parents dog and she said Mom and Dad are just enjoying their time they have left with her. Sorry about all of the stuff going on. You have my prayers.

We received a letter today from the vice principal chastising us for DS being out for illness for five days this semester. Doesn't that guy know we missed a Disney cruise last week because of school?!? :confused3 :rotfl2:

:rotfl::rotfl: I would send him a reply with that information and put that principal in his place.:lmao:

I totally get that Rose. I do the same thing and then weeks later I wonder what the big deal was.:confused3 Stress will do that!

Today was a bit of a nutty day at work! I then picked up ryan from school and took him over to the football field to register him. My boy is officially a Bethlehem Steeler and will play Flag football starting August 1. Im a bit nervous about it but he is a tank so I know he will do fine. I swear he was breed for sports. We had to discuss why it will be ok to cheer for the "steelers" since you know we are eagles fans. This has been confusing for him.:lmao:

Then we came home and had taco night. the kids got to bed a bit later than normal but it was a nice evening.

Tomorrow I am only working until about 1 or 2 because I am leaving to go to a conference in philly. I wont be back until friday. Im really not looking forward to it. Although the hotel has a hot tub and that might make my body feel better. I am still really sore from my run.

Ok well I know I missed a bunch in my replies so hello to everyone!!!!!!

Biggest Loser 11 Spring Challenge Week 17!
This week’s group loss is 5.9 lbs

Total group weight loss for both teams so far 1247.8 pounds! WOW!!!!! (Doesn’t add up right as we had a lot of late weigh ins last week that were not included on last week’s results.)

AWESOME!

Before the weekly superstar list comes the disclaimer. I am human and I make mistakes. If you have any questions please contact me. For your reference this is the magic percentage of weight lost formula - weight loss for the week divided by weight for last week times 100, that gives us the percentage. Now let me test that with my numbers for week 1, click, click, click goes the calculator. Yes, that agrees with the percentage on the magic spreadsheet. (btw if its been more than 1 week between weigh-ins, then the % loss is divided by the number of weeks, to keep everybody on the same basis)

Now let's get to the good stuff. Who were our superstars of the week? This time I’ve done a TOP 10 LIST ! That criteria may change from week to week. Hey I'm in charge here and I get paid nothin' to do this so you better take what you can get! (and if there’s something you want to know, just ask me!)

Sorry I didn't get these up last night but the boards were down when I was ready to put them in.

Reminder: Don't send me your weight LOSS SEND ME YOUR WEIGHT!!!!

Huge headache this morning so I'm skipping the early morning workout. Planning on walking to my meeting this morning and then walking with redwalker after.

Gotta get up Ash shortly to take a shower. I boiled my water so I'll have some tea and see if that helps my head or figure if it's allergies or from my crown coming out!

Gotta get moving! I'll be on and off all day!

TTFN :tigger:

Oh, no! Did I kill the thread? :(

Ugh, I had issues for over an hour last night trying to post, but luckily I copied my post into word, so now I'll try to paste it in.

I even went and took a shower and came back and it still had issues :confused3

The last 2 days have been super stressful on so many levels. Somehow I managed to keep totally OP, but the scale still showed me up this morning. It is so frustrating. Unfortunately my stresslevels will remain at defcon 5 until after Hunter's MRI and results on Monday. Just having it looming is drudging up all the memories of the tumor and surgery. Ugh sometimes being a Mommy is tough.

Have a good day!!

Good morning everyone, well I tried to say goodnight last night, but the dis was not cooperating, so let's see what I can paste from my post.

Ha, that is family life for you at times, but that's what makes life interesting :goodvibes

Lucky you for sleeping in, isn't it the best feeling? That's great that your DD likes the K teacher enough to pass up a day off from school.

Sounds like you have a busy weekend ahead :)

UGH! Was chewing a fruit gum and one of my crowns fell out! Getting it put back in on Thursday morning. Hope it doesn't bother me between now and then.

Ugh, I had my teeth cleaned yesterday. Eventually I need to switch dentists. My dentist has been in our family for over 35 years. He's pretty cheap, but most of his stuff is older, so I'm hoping he retires soon so I can switch without hurting his feelings.

Work is busy but it's good to be busy, right? :goodvibes I bet that you can't wait for your cruise soon. I'm looking forward to hearing about Castaway Cay. That's definately on my bucket list. :beach:

We received a letter today from the vice principal chastising us for DS being out for illness for five days this semester. Doesn't that guy know we missed a Disney cruise last week because of school?!? :confused3 :rotfl2:

:rotfl: Love it! Have you been on DCL before?

It's kind of like the saying about a black cloud following you. Hopefully that cloud will be gone for good :goodvibes Have a nice evening as well.

Oh, confession time! I don’t run, sweetie. It has been almost a year since the bone and cartilage graft and I can still only do very short jogging intervals. Right now, I have to be content with walking fast and building up my pace and my distance.

That's okay, it's more than I do. I just never got into running. I need the perfect music so I tried to put some tunes on my MP3 last night, but my husband needs to reload the software on our home computer first :confused3

Mmmmm cupcakes. It's called Show Me the Cupcakes in the restaurant section. If you ever want me to PM you my list of tasty cupcakes I've seen on the boards and where to buy them you just let me know. My friend is in Disney right now and she got the Dulce De Leche one that I told her about from the Contempo Cafe and loved it

Wow, that was super easy. If only I copied all my posts before losing them

I would be nervous about football too, but that's the mom in me too I guess. Some days I wonder what sports Dylan will play if any. DH loves basketball and we both played baseball/softball so we're hopeful for those.

Traveling for work can be a bummer, but I do enjoy being able to go to the gym at the hotel and not having to worry about missing time with DS since he's not there to spend time with. Enjoy the hot tub :goodvibes
