Ok, I lurk on these boards constantly and my wife says that I have a problem. I have been telling her that while I may have a problem, I am not the worst on the boards. With that in mind, I was wondering if some other Dis-nuts would share....

What is the most reservations they have had on the books with DVC at any one time for your personal use. (Excluding split stays.)

What is the most times anyone has been to Disney from out of state in one year. (I have never hit more than 2 in any 12 month period.)

Anything else that you think I can show my wife that I don't need help as much as others....

Trust me - you don't need help! It is a wonderful distraction from the perils of life.

I have never had more than three reservations at a time, or visited The World more than three times in a year.

Let your wife know that if you didn't go the the Happiest Place on Earth at least twice during the year, you would easily replace it with any of the following cool things to do:

1. Go deer hunting, bring it home, prepare it in the garage, and hope all enjoy it every saturday night for the next year

2. Go golfing twice a year with your buddies, hitting both the ball and the bars twice each day, never shave, and bring home seven days of dirty laundry.

3. Insist on going fishing with bubba and his cousins to "the lake" in Canada, doing pretty much what you did on your golfing vacation . . .

4. Hit a NASCAR race every month in exotic locations, staying in a hotel that advertises free HBO (with one letter missing), and insisting that she go along wearing her favorite tube top and short shorts.

I'm sure there are others out there that can help you out in all of this . . . . .

Before we had DVC, I thought I was really decadent to have 2 reservations on the books at one time. Planning about 6-8 months out.

Now that we own DVC, I plan 11 months out and it's not unusual to have 6 or 7 reservations at a time. But that's because we live in Florida and generally go for short weekend trips.

This is not the norm - but most recently

8/2012 (Unplanned last minute trip w/daughter and her friend)

12/12 (Planned trip 11 months prior after my son's 9/12 wedding)

1/13 (Daughter decided and accepted into the CP Program)

5/13 (Daughter should have come home but extended so we visited)

7//13 (Planned cruise about 18 mos. prior & stayed a week to bring dd home)

10/13 (Planned our usual F & W 11 months prior)

I do have to say though that I am not sure who is more addicted myself or my oldest son who recently married. Oh and my dd would love to work there f/t when she is done with school.

So welcome to the disney addict world ;)

These boards help and feed my addiction in many ways! I love coming here and being able to ask Disney related questions. I always get helpful answers - sometimes they raise more questions, but then that gives me more reason to search for more Disney answers. I probably would not have become a member if not for all of the information here. Going to Disney gives me something to look forward to, plan, and dream about. We just added on this year to our original purchase. For the first time ever we have two reservations booked. One is November and the other is March!!!

We always go for 5-7 nights and go 3-4 times/year. Actually, 5-6 nights is a rarity. I have 4 trips in the booking que right now with 2 left this calendar year.

FYI, I can't hold a candle to many, many folks on this board.

I am a certified DA! I am an ultrasound tech and I stalked the web site of Fl Hospital Celebration waiting for an opening so we could move here. (Wanted it to be Celebration, Disney Medical as my DH calls it) Found one after 2 yrs of looking and have been here 3.5 yrs now. I can now go to the parks every week!!
Before our move here to answer your other questions, the most I came from out of state was 5 times in one year.
I am not sure what the most reservations we have ever had would be, maybe 4?
My friends and family have for years thought I must be the biggest Disney Addict out there and then years ago we went to the meeting put together by the DIS called Discon, my DH quickly realized my addiction was on a much smaller scale than some others!

We spend around 32-33 nights per year at Disney, and that limit is set by the maximum vacation days the company I work for gives me.

We tend not to fly down for just a 3- or 4-day long weekend. All our trips are usually 8 nights.

If I could get more time off work....

We live in Canada but fortunately, we have a lot of Air Miles so we always fly for free (plus the taxes and sur/scam-charges)

We have October, November, January February, March and April reserved between BCV and GFV.

oct 13 - 18 BWV
dec 11-13 VGF
dec 23-27 BLT
jan 4-8 bwv
mar 9-12 bwv
apr 6-9 bwv
may 12-20 bwv

but I live less than an hour from WDW........Laura

As I said above, impressive and stupid to my friends, but not even a candle to many folks here. :)

We've been back from an 11 night trip to WDW less than 2 months ago. We're leaving again Saturday!!!! We were going to visit my aunt for her 85th birthday and decided to slip over to Orlando for a Disney fix. Works out since we're taking the auto-train. I am a definite DA.

Before we moved to Fl, 3 trips in one yr.

Moved July 2012, been to Disney 4 times, one Disney cruise (which was Awesome) and have 3 trips planned, Oct for 3days, Dec for 2 and March for 7 days and hoping for another great deal on a cruise.

I am in borrow mode all the time!!

I have been to Disney as many as 4 times in a year 2 different times and that was not enough . Would go more if I could . I also met a couple a while back that said they had been to Disney over 130 times as well , that's a lot .

We have flown from Ohio to WDW 6 times in a year, it was a very special year.

This year, I had a long 25 night DVC stay in January (that began in December, we thoroughly enjoy NYE at WDW!), went down in April for a week, going in October for a week, a weekend in November, and then a week in December.

We have "given" our NYE stay to DSis, but we'll begin our January stay on January 6th next year.

I love F&G more than F&W, so going to that for a least a week is a "must do" for me.

Bobbi, I am happy to hear you say that since this year will be out first trip to F&G!! I have wanted to go to that for a long time.

4 times a year, between 3 and 6 nights in different size accommodations.
My goal is to be able to go for a long weekend each month October through April with a one week stay in February :cool1:

Unfortunately, DVC only lets you book 11 months out or I'd have a lot more reservations. Since buying DVC in 2009 we have gone, on average, twice a year. However, I usually have at least 2-3 years of vacations in mind. Right now, I am "planning" 3 vacations, which will occur over the next 2 years.

Is your job hiring???

I'd live at WDW if I could.

Out of all the 'addictions' you can have in life, this is expensive, but otherwise harmless.
