BigDaddyRog --

I noticed your weight loss ticker ....... CONGRATS bigtime!!!!!!

What's your secret???????

I'd love to lose some major lbs. before our 11/08 Disney cruise!!!

Way to go! Do you have a lot more energy, etc? (as I drag thru another day .........)

I had the gastric-sleeve surgery....I tried diets and "thought about" excersize but I needed a permanent solution to a lifelong battle of ups & downs with the weight. This surgery was the best thing Ive ever done for ME.
I feel like a high school athelete, ok...not really, but in comparison to how I felt 6 months ago and for most of my life....I really do feel like a well conditioned machine!!! LOL...and in another 100 lbs...I might even LOOK like one!!! Thanks for asking!

And when he gets down to that perfect size 4, he will finish the sex change surgery. Then he will change his screen name to Rogette and start hanging out on the Disney Gay Forum.

Hmmm..i dont have far to go..my manb00bs are probably bigger than your wifes!!!

ROG!!! I can't see your "ticker"!! It is cut off, just below your picture! (Don't go there CaptKen)

So - how much? And, IMHO, you've got the face, too!!!;) (Not flirting - just an observation)

Well...Deb, since you asked...( I love talking about my weightloss...even if it is a gayish thing for a guy, you skinny folk just wouldnt understand!!)
Im down 116lbs...with 101 to go to hit my goal. Deb, you've seen my face in person...You, my dear, are the sweetest liar I know:worship: :love2: One thing I can NEVER be accused of is being one of those "pretty boys", mothers clutch their children when Im near, little old ladies genuflect...and I dont think they're blessing me. Hey, Im almost 40yrs old...Ive come to terms with being less than attractive...heck, Im BETTER at being unattractive than anyone I know!!! Ive learned to embrace my hideousness and use it for good in the world:angel:

Awwww Des, I wouldn't dare misread your post and make up some off color remark about his ticker. We all know that he is proud of his ticker and like his post that you speak of, he hasn't seen his ticker either.

All kidding aside, proud for you Rog!!!!

Rog - Beauty is in the eye of the beholder! I've found that a person's personality makes them beautiful, not the physical attributes. You, my friend, have both! So - that makes you an Adonis!!!:lovestruc "Gay"??? Doesn't that mean "happy"? I once had a friend named Gay - and she wasn't! Actually, quite the opposite!!:lmao:

Love ya, Rog - keep up the great work!

Deb

Damn, where's my waders, its getting deep in here. In my younger days, I'd have to beholding a lot of liquor before I could find beauty in some of the wimmen I found.

Hey Rog -
When did you have your surgery? I had RNY about 5 weeks ago now. Its harder then I thought in the beginning but it is definitely worth it!

Congrats on your weight loss!!

I admirer anyone that has the courage to lose weight this way, it really is life threating surgery, I had a friend that went in for this same surgery back in August and they ended up having to do Open ( what-ever) because she started bleeding to much, she ended up passing away August 15, 2007 three days after surgery of a blood clot.

To say we were in shock was an understatement, she was 36 left behind three small children ages 3,5,8. She was healthy up to this point no trouble to let on anything like this could have happened and the end all and beat all of everything was she only weighted 240 ( I know thin people will be like wow thats alot but if your heavy set you know this was small for that type of surgery ). :grouphug:

Anywaaaay....Eeyoresthebest...Im in my sixth month now...and YES, its very tough in the begining. Our surgeries are VERY similar, except that they left you with a stomach and a pouch, my stomach was completely removed and there is no pouch, but in the begining we feel the same physical pain from eating, I assume. I STIIL double over with pain if I eat a bite or two too much, and ( sorry guys) but I puke ALOT. It took me for forever to learn when to stop eating, because my mouth and appetite are MUCH bigger than my little 5oz tube. My second day home from the hospital, I lost it...I paniced, I thought I just really screwed my whole life up. It seemed like EVERY commercial on TV was about food....and you have that dang liquid diet for the first week......pizza hut commercials were like PORN for a prisoner!!! But that only lasted the one day, I guess it was the shock and realization that their was NO UNDOING IT. This was for keeps. I went back to work on my 5th day out.
Terri01...WOW....thats awful about your friend.Yes, lacerating the liver IS a big possibility, and can (OBVIOUSLY) be fatal.....and 240lbs isnt what I would consider in need of the procedure. But I was seeing 500lbs just a few bites away. I had lost over 125 on Atkins once, gained it all back and much more....and for some reason Atkins NEVER worked for me again. It was well worth the risk for me....I felt like I was dead already, heck I tempted death EVERY night, a 5th a night of whatever was my flavor of the week (usually 100 proof Rumplemintze, or vodka and redbull) 2pks of smokes a night, plus OTHER habits Id rather not admit to on a public forum. But since the procedure...I like living. Im down to 1 pack of smokes a night( I KNOW, I KNOW), I only drink once every couple of weeks, and Im oblivious after just a couple of shots now...and the OTHER habits have completely disappeared. I just dont need to be intoxicated now. Im ok with being me, and Im only halfway to my goal.

Rog, Thanks for sharing. What an accomplishment! You really got your life back didn't you? What a wonderful life it is, too!

Adonis body with that head, sorry but some things don't go together. But then you wear a bag like the unknown comedian on the ole Gong Show.
