Read a post elsewhere that the manager of Big Thunder Barbecue is hoping to get more customers coming in and 'trying' to keep prices down. It seems the prices have dropped since this restaurant was opened, however, they still seem high to me. Just MHO. I wonder if the ribs (which were fabulous!) were dropped from the Taste Pilot's Grill menu, to 'encourage' guests to go to Big Thunder Barbecue. If so, it backfired in my case. TPG was our favorite place to eat in DCA. When I'm in DCA, I don't want to go to the BACK of the other park, just to eat. Also, the serving at TPG (about $10.00) WAS all I could eat--don't need to go somewhere else to get the same thing at double the price. Have examined my options and decided if I want ribs, I'll go to Tony Roma's. It's closer, less expensive and has a greater selection.
