Last night a huge snowstorm came through Columbus, Ohio leaving in it's wake 4-8 inches of snow causing weekend events to be cancelled. But a second storm tommorow will dump 4-6+ inches of more snow in top of the 4-8 inches we got this morning. My church chior rehersal was cancelled because of the snow. Good news by the middle of next week we will se sun and warm temperatures of about 43 degrees, Hopefuly all the snow will melt. :( :( :(

I am hoping that the second storm only dumps a few inches of snow now. I shoveled the driveway from this morning and I think we had at least 6-8 inches of snow here (I'm on the NW side of Columbus). I don't want to have to shovel that much again and we are still waiting for the plows to come through on our streets. It's a beautiful snow but I would love it to go away!!!!

I am on the NE side of town (north of 161 on Cleveland Ave) My apartment has at least 4 to 6 inches on the ground I am in Westerville and it is a complete mess. I had to walk on the side of State street. the sidewalk is completly coverd. I have to agree I dont want to see any more snow this winter. :(

I am about 1 1/2 hrs south of you - we had at least 6 inches here - I think the only one happy around here is my dd

Now you folks know what your northern brothers and sisters have been facing all winter. That storm was supposed to dump on us as well, but this time the jet stream gave us a break.

Good luck digging out. Stay safe.

I used to live in Westerville! I LOVED living there! We lived off of Scrock Road very close to Innis Wood Gardens.

Good luck with that snow! I saw that Prime Outlets in Washington Court House was closed and knew it had to be bad. We had rain, ice and snow but no accumulation.

I got hardly anything and lots of ppl are telling me it's my fault b/c I'm a michigan lake effect girl.

I know compared so some places, we hardly got any snow, but I am so not used to this! I woke up to more snow today too. I haven't gone out to check out how bad it is yet, but it looks like a few more inches were dropped on us.

You should be here in SE Ohio. It is coming down in buckets. DW worked last night and she said there were women in labor all over the place. She also said no one was on the road this morning while she was coming home

Seth and I keep saying we are "Snowed in at the house of mouse"

Since we're NE of Columbus we didn't get as much as you did south. It's still coming down though.

mhopset be careful. You guys seemed to get most of the snow.

It's beautiful but I don't want to go outside. Brrrrrr!

Kara just fired up the snow blower here so glad she can handle it - I will have the hot chocolate ready when she is done

I'm NW of Columbus - in the country. When I went out this morning to get the paper - yes, it did come - for the last 40 ft of our 225 ft. driveway was up to my knees! the boys have had fun digging a snow cave, puppies right along with them.

Thankfully the boy's wrestling meet was cancelled yesterday and today. It may be rescheduled for tomorrow. I hope not - I don't want to drive in this until late tomorrow afternoon. It was bad enough Friday night that the coach cancelled the bus, and the boys had to go with another parent.

I'm sure the coach will cancel the bus tomorrow, and expect parents to drive (?) instead! I want the boys to just forfeit - they're not going to District or State anyway. They're safe and sound now - and I want to keep them that way!

I don't blame you Sherrie - the police officer who lives across the street from me went to work Friday morning and just got home about an hour ago

Ron & Spirit Feather -
DH and I both went to Otterbein, so Westerville is second home to us :) I spent many hours at Innis Woods - I was an art major and it was a wonderful place for "inspiration!" :)
We're an hour and a half south of Cols. now and covered in ice at the moment :(

Stay safe everyone. I went two miles to my sisters today and I wouldn't have wanted to go any further. It's still coming down!
Marla the snow you are getting is coming our way. I need your snow blower.

We gave up on our driveway. The snowfall is so heavy now that by the time we finish the driveway, we'd pretty much just start again. I need that snowblower here too! I just found out that our public library is closed... when that closes I know we are in trouble!!! I feel a "sick day" coming on ;)

This is an idea - I can just pack up Kara and the snow blower and send her on her merry way ;)

LOL! Lisa - I need Marla's snow blower and the snow blower driver! I figure between the 3 kids, it would be no time at all and we'd be able to get out of here. Of course, getting to a main highway would be the next hurtle!

I was just listening to the Fox 10:00 news - seems as though the storm is intensifying and we're going to get ANOTHER 6-12" tonight!

I must admit that some of the drift sculptures are beautiful - but not when I can't open my front door! Our chocolate and black lab pups come back in after a couple of minutes out, and they're white!

Foot here so far - and more on the way 2 - 5 inches over night and up to I think they said 3 tomorrow -

I'm right up along the lake and it just started snowing here about an hour ago. We don't have much, maybe an inch. However, I do feel for all of you that have gotten much more.

Hope everyone stays safe and warm!!:D
