Run Disney
Triathlon season is underway. Is anyone adding a triathlon to their race calendar this year?
I'm fully prepared to be underwhelmed...just in case.
I don't think that has to do with the clues, though. I would hope they'd keep all of the info contained in the clue announcement.
Agreed. I think WAY too many people are reading WAY too much into anything posted on their page. I'm frankly surprised I haven't seen anyone quoting something in a comment someone made as "OOH A CLUE!!!"
I think the ONLY true clues are the ones they are giving us in the pictures.
I think the only chance of them ever doing a tri is in the middle of the summer. Certainly not March 4th.
It's been in the 70s and 80s down there already. So I wouldn't totally rule it out.

I think if Disney does a tri, and I don't think they will do an official one, it will be between the end of Food & Wine and Thanksgiving. The summer is both too busy and the air temp too hot and humid. The pros can deal with it at Kona but the Disney target demo probably would have some issues. I know I would.
If the idea is to attract people during the off-season, wouldn't that eliminate anything around the Flower and Garden Festival? I thought that was a pretty popular time.

Someone on the FB page suggested a triathalon with the swim portion through the Seven Seas Lagoon.
I think I'd want a haz-mat suit to swim that!![]()

I stand corrected, then. I was told no races swim in Disney waters. Still, I wouldn't want to swim in either Bay Lake or the SSL after the horror stories I've heard about sickness caused by ingesting the water on accident (people not listening & swimming or falling in).Why laugh...All tris to date have swam in 7 seas.... including the current IM FL 70.3
