I tried a search, but I don't think the search likes me! :lmao: Anywho, we are staying at BWV in less than two weeks. What are your opinions of the Big River Grille & Brewing works? I can't make up my mind on a couple of my reservations and was looking at this one as a replacement. Any thoughts would be much appreciated! :thumbsup2

We went on our trip in August. It was the worst meal of our trip but I have to say we loved all our other meals so it wasn't that terrible.

I made a reservation directly through the restaurant for 10 people as they don't take traditional ADR's. This was my only large group meal of the week, the rest of the time there was only 3 of us. We waited 1.5 hrs for our table. :scared1: By the time we were seated 2 people in our party had left and they sat us at 2 different tables. It seems there was a large group that they were counting on leaving that just never did. And they didn't make any real effort to juggle tables or even offer to seat us seperately, which we would have done. They just kept saying it should only be a few more minutes. The member of our party that left was very vocal with the manager (I heard about this later ).

When they did finally seat us they were very apologetic and gave us free appy's. Unfortunately after everything the food was just OK. The three of us paid OOP and were no longer that hungry so we may not be the best judges since we shared a chicken ceasar and quesadillas. We did try the desserts our friends ordered and they were very good.

I probably wouldn't go back. The wait was caused by poor organization and although they tried to make it up to us there are so many other places I have enjoyed much more or want to give a try.

we have had many very good meals there. we usually walk over from epcot for lunch. sitting outside is a nice treat.:yay:

We go at least once every trip, usually for lunch. Food is decent, beers are good, service has generally been pretty good. I love the Boardwalk area and it is nice to sit outside and eat if the weather permits.

If you're into micro-breweries and their products, it's a must-do. The food is, as mentioned, 'decent', just something to have while sampling the liquid bread.

We really like the dessert.
the Chocolate cake and cheesecake were both very good.

Good for a beer and a burger, and that's about it. We find it to be an acceptable option if we don't have ADR's, and can't get in anywhere else in the BW area. Good location, good beer, decent burger, passable other food, and service has been hit or miss, but never great.
Since they don't take reservations through the WDW dining line (you have to call the restaurant directly), it's usually pretty easy to get a table as a walk-up. I'd say keep it in mind as an option, but I would not make it a destination meal instead of other places.
That's my $.02, others may feel differently. Opinions vary.

The food is ok in general, but their chicken dish (with the dried cherries) was really good!

I agree with other pp's- decent food but we go for the beer, not the food. The microbrews are very tasty ( I always get the sampler). We usually get a salad, appetizers or just dessert. We have the passport card that you can sign up for and it gives priority seating so we have never waited for a table more than 5 minutes, even during the busiest times. It's nice to sit outside too.:thumbsup2
