Big River Grille or Kouzzina's??

Kouizza is terrible. My family hated it, my sister's family hated it, and I had friends who hated it. I wish the place would close up for good.

We loved Kouzzina and will definitely go back again. The whole fish entree (DBF's entree) was excellent and I loved the lamb shank. The menu at Big River Grille looks pretty ordinary and not something that we'd be interested in.

Kouzzina was our favorite meal during our trip last week. The whole fish meal was excellent, as was the seafood stew. My son had the greek lasagna, and he loved it. I took a bite and it was probably the best tasting kid's meal I had ever tasted. Again, it's very different from anything else on property, but totally worth a shot.

Without knowing what kind of food you and your family like, no, not really. I've been to both restaurants more than once and while I enjoy both, I easily prefer Kouzzina. But clearly it's not for everyone.

Haven't eaten at Kouzzina but have given Big River several chances....and then I ask myself why I went back....it's horrible.

yeah, we didn't really enjoy big river grille either. nothing particularly bad about, just meh. it was our first nights dinner after arrival and I was totally underwhelmed. i wouldn't go back.

We keep going back to Big River too and I think the food is awful. For us it's location location location and Big River has such a prime location for us......
their menu does stink though. The thought of "Fresh tortilla chips and salsa" being simply stale Doritos and small dish of Target brand salsa costing $8 or $9 at the restaurant bugs the crap out of me.

Have not been to Kouzzina's but the menu looks interesting.

If you can't decide on either might I suggest ESPN? We put that one off for many years and finally tried it two years ago. We were very pleasantly surprised with everything we ordered!

I've never been to Kouzzina but I would NEVER go to Big River again. I've gotten better food at the local Chili's restaurant. I've heard mixed reviews about Kouzzina but would give that a try.

Never went to Big River, but went to Kouzzina a few weeks ago and it was excellent! We love Greek food and Mediterranean food though, it's not for everyone. If you are looking for the typical burgers and fries, you will be disappointed.

I like the beer at Big River and sitting out on the Boardwalk drinking it. The food is nothing special, but it's a decent enough burger. I enjoy it.

I KNOW! We had a good first meal there - burgers, nachos and good kids meals with nice chocolate cake. The beer was good and was a great way to spend our first night at the Boardwalk after we checked in. After that, it was all downhill. My meatloaf was so hard and crusty on the edge that it was inedible. When I told the waitress, she said Oh, it must have been sitting out too long in the kitchen. I didn't hit that corner until I had eaten most of it, so I couldn't send it back. Just really a "who cares" attitude was what really ticked me off.

But, we were there when a really big convention was at the Boardwalk, and the place was full of convention folks. They don't get park tickets and spend their spare time in the bars on the Boardwalk, so the place was ridiculously busy.

I'm surprised by the negative reviews of BRG. Its a tradition for us to have our first meal there (lunch) after we check into BCV...we usually go for the blackened mahi mahi sandwich and a micro-brew. Is it the best restaurant on property? Heck, no, but we like it. We have ADRs for Kouzzina later this month - heard great things about the sampler and we're all looking forward to checking the place out.

Big River Grille is certainly not fabulous but I hated Kouzzina. Not just the food (my meal was comped which was nice of them to do since it was inedible) but the service was slow and we were seated so late. We are very adventurous eaters but bad food is still bad food.

Kouzzina's hands down - it was our favorite meal all week last year.

Service is fantastic; food is fantastic. Cannot say enough about it.

We are planning on eating at both of these place when we go later on this year. We've eaten at BRG before (2006) and DH requested we go again - mostly for the beer  We are going to try Kouzzina's for our Grand Gathering dinner (there are 20 of us - we are having a re-union). Our whole family is pretty much up for trying new foods & we love Cat Cora!! popcorn::
I hope it's good for us! I've heard lots of good things, but also lots of bad things about Kouzzina....here's hoping...:genie:
