We have DDP and are going to Ohana one night and need a second good dinner. HOw is Big River Grille? If not, where else is worth the money on the plan? We are not fish eaters..Thanks!

Big River is one of my favorite places at WDW for a casual meal. It serves "pub grub" that is not very fancy, but is pretty good. Also, it has a nice selection of beers that are not available anywhere else on property. Some complain about the service being slow, but I have never had a problem in over a dozen visits there. Sitting outside on the BW is the best, but I also enjoy the utilitarian interior of the restaurant.

I've heard a lot of complaints about Big River Grille, but we've been several times (although not for the last year) and have always had good food and good service. My husband particularly enjoys the beer selection. They're never too busy either and it's a good excuse to stroll around the Boardwalk if you're not staying at one of the resorts there!

I've seen wildly mixed reviews here. I have had terrific food at the one in Chattanooga in the past, I may just try it instead of reading reviews. :)

We love this place. It's not just good food ( not fancy "pub grub" maybe, but that's not a bad thing! ), but if its nice out, you can sit outside ON the boardwalk overlooking the lake. just that alone, to me, makes it worth it! And the hand crafted beer is quite good too!

My wife and I usually stop here every trip. The pub food is good and I love the beer options. I've also been able to sample a beer or 2 before ordering at no charge.

I thought I had read somewhere that Big River was coming off the dining plan?

Anyone else hear this?

we've eaten there 3 times and always enjoyed the meal and the environment.

BRG is good for a beer and a burger. Otherwise, it just "OK". The meatloaf they used to feature is now a shadow of it's former self. The inside is drab and smells of wort and hops. Service ranges from barely adequate to nonchalant.
In season, their Wowzer's Wheat is an excellent brew.
