Does anyone have a review for this restaurant? We were thinking of trying it on our next trip, but I don't think I've read anything about it.

Thanks!
Kari

By the way, we're not gourmet people, we're more Chili's, Applebee's type of people!! :)

We enjoyed it. If you are a fan of the chain restaurants you'll probably like it, nothing too fancy if I remember correctly. No ADR's though, it is a walkup. We went on a busy night during April and had to wait about 45 minutes (we are a family of 5), lots to do on the BW while you're waiting though! We'll probably go back there on our next trip.

I made adrs for our upcoming early Feb trip. I called disney dining # and they gave me their direct number. I was basically just like calling a regular restaurant for a reservation.:)

Sorry, can't answer how it is, as we have never been but I came here to view because I was curious too!

It's a step down from someplace like Chili's, IMO, but if you're happy with basic chain restaurants you should be fine with it. It's very basic.

Aimeedyan is right--it really isn't up to the standards of Chilis or Ruby Tuesday. The burger is ok, the microbrews are good. The once proud meatloaf has sunk to sub-par. Service is nonchalant.

bummer.... I was looking at the menus and they had a steak topped w/ bernaise sauce, asparagus & garlic mashed.... & it was $30

I had terrible service the one time I went there. Our waiter ditched our table to attend a meeting but didn't get anyone to cover for us. My friend managed to get a soggy salad and my hot food was tepid. The manager's only reply was "oops, I can give you a coupon for another restaurant of our's" (which we don't live near).

The food is mediocre and is not real "Brew Pub" fare. But the beers are decent. We always stop in for a beer or two but never eat there anymore. The service every time we've been has been awful. Once we wanted to take our beers out to the patio to sit and they woulnd't let us because they didn't have enough wait staff to cover all the patio tables - there were a dozen empty tables. We tried to explain that we didn't need a waiter but could buy our own beers inside at the bar and walk out and sit at an empty table, but they were very rude about it and would not let us do so.

Thanks for the input! Does anyone have any other recommendations for places in the same area? We are already having lunch at Beaches & Cream, so that's probably out, but any other suggestions would be appreciated!! :)

Thanks!!
Kari

I have to agree with all the reviews so far. Fair food, over priced, okay beer. seating inside is cramped and loud, outside is better but limited. You'd be better off going to the other side of the Boardwalk and going to ESPN.

I've gone twice and loved it both times. We had great service and great food. One trip we ate outside on the patio, weather was nice, had the grilled meatloaf. I really liked it. And our last trip this past June we ate there, inside this time becuase it was hot, had the steak. Juice and tender. Wait staff both times were great. I would be going back my next trip but we want to mix it up a bit and try another place.

This is from my TR:

We then wanted to go to the Big River Grille & Brewing Works for dinner at the Boardwalk Inn. DD19 & her DH wanted to check out the resort as they booked their honeymoon there for next year. It is truly gorgeous. We walked around a little then checked in for dinner. They do not take reservations here but we were seated immediately. We had a nice table by the window and could look out onto the Boardwalk while we dined. The restaurant looked about half empty. Our waitress was a delightful girl and since DH didn't know what the beers would taste like he asked her opinion. She told him some detail on each one and then he went with a coke as he was still unsure of what their beer would taste like. When our drinks were served, she brought DH a sample of one of the beers that she thought he may like. He ordered one then. DD17 & I ordered the ribs. We both agreed that they were the best we've ever had. DD17 orders ribs everywhere so for her to say that – it really means something. DSIL ordered the mahi mahi and it was also delish. All 6 of us were eating off of each others plates the whole way through this meal because everything was delectable. I highly recommend this restaurant and we all believe it was the best meal of the trip. DD19 had the hazelnut chicken and it was to die for. She said she must have it again on their honeymoon. My other DD19 had the chicken alfredo and it was also good.

I went this past fall when they were having their Oktoberfest. At first we couldn't find a seat outside, so we went inside to the bar area. It was crowded and smelled weird and awful, so we went back outside. We just got a beer and sat there and it was really enjoyable being right on the boardwalk. A few nights later we were walking by and I could smell that nasty odor again and realized it smelled like an old, wet rag - yuck! I definitely recommend the patio!

My husband and I went there last year for dinner one night and it was the only bad meal we've ever had at Disney. Service was bad and the food was average at best. Actually, I don't even know if I'd say it was that good even. We were really disappointed. Just our opinions!
