Is this place any good? It seems like something my DH would really like.

I have to add a meal to both my Epcot day and MK day. Which park is BRG closest too? We haven't been to WDW in over 20 years so I'm not familiar with the layout. TIA! :goodvibes

BRG seems very popular. We have only had cheeseburgers from there, but they were very good. It's located on the Boardwalk, which makes it right next to EPCOT. If you take the international gateway out of EPCOT (bear right before the bridge between UK and France) it will put you right onto the Boardwalk. BRG it at the far end of it. Enjoy!:goodvibes

We have eaten there and it is very good. We have eaten steak and BBQ and couldn't ask for better. If you are on the dining plan you can use it there also. You would want to eat there on your Epcot day.

We ate there last trip and thought it was pretty good. I'm not going to give it rave reviews, but it was pretty good.

Our DS got the New York Strip & Shrimp combo and I thought it looked disgusting. It was oily and greasy looking and he didn't eat much of it.

Other DS had the Hazelnut Crusted Chicken and loved it.

I had the salmon which was good and DH had a burger and liked it, but it was a burger, nothing to jump up and down about.

Good beer. So-so food, but I enjoy sitting on the Boardwalk enjoying the brews.

Thanks for the reviews, everyone! :goodvibes

I'm don't drink, but I'm sure my DH wouldn't mind a beer or two. :)

Is BRG better than ESPN? We've been to ESPN Zone in DTD at Disneyland and it was decent.. kind of like any standard sports bar. But food wise, which meal is better? I don't see us having any problem finding stuff to eat at both.. but would prefer to eat at the better restaurant, of course. :goodvibes

Been to both ESPN and Big River Brew.... I personally would chose Big River over ESPN if I was looking for more of a "meal"..if I wanted a burger or sandwich then I'd go to ESPN

And ESPN if you are in to TV!! I'm not sure you can eat at the bar at BRG, but you certainly can at ESPN.
As for BRG itself--good for a burger and a beer and as Nytimez says, enjoying a brew on the Boardwalk and people watching.

It would have to be, since ESPN is horrible! (ESPN is the only TS place at WDW that I have vowed never to return to.)

I really like BRG. I go there (usuall for lunch) at least once on each trip to WDW. Good beers, decent food and good service. And now that it accepts the TIW card, I like it even more!

ESPN has really gone downhill since taking the DDP . We will use DVC /AP discount but not DDP . BR has a MUCH better menu--salmon salad/tacos/great pizzas/steaks-- at it's other locations than at WDW. While I understand it, it makes you not want to visit the other locations if you think it only serves the WDW menu.

Big River is on the diinng plan isn't it? But you can't make ADR's on line does anyone know the phone number to make reservations? :cool1::hippie:

yes, they are on the dining plan. I googled Big River Brew works which brought up their site and I looked for their location in Disney.

They do not take "dining reservations" they will put your name in their book and its like a "call ahead". (similar to disneys Adr)...I would just suggest giving yourself a little extra time if you are trying to catch fireworks or have to be someplace after.

I have all my adrs already made just looking for something new not sure if we will switch to the Brew Works or not. MY sister will have an extra TS maybe she could use that and DW and I can get a beer flight and some snack type stuff. :cool1::hippie::hippie:

There is a keg tapping there on September 17. I went to one of these last month and it was crowded and loud. There were some nice plates of fruit and cheese but you had to get to them before the ladies who would stick their hands in and pile most of it onto their plates to bring back to their groups. The beer they featured was sold for half price during the event and was good, though.

BRG doesn't do ADRs? Ugh, well that is interesting. Is it usually crazy busy? We'd be looking at it for dinner on a Wednesday in late March.
