Big River Grille and Brewing Works

Yep, hubby and I have eaten there many times. The food is very good and so are the beers.

DH likes to get the beer sampler. It isn't on the menu but you can ask for it. You get 6 (sometime more) samples. It is very inexpensive especially for Disney standards.

We had a terrible dinner there. Horrid service (rude and nasty), cold (as in still frozen) food, charred food that was not supposed to be charred, dirty table. We were ignored. Never eat there again.

We ate there about 3 years ago and didn't like it at all. The food was just okay and the service was terrible.

This year while staying at BWV, my husband brought back from there a ceasar salad with blackened mahi mahi. It was delicious, my favorite meal.
He had to go back a couple of days later for another. This was carry-out because of an injured ankle, still haven't been back for a sit-down meal.

We had an unmemorable meal there in October. DH wanted to try the beers and they were okay - the smell in the restaurant is horrid, btw, but you get used to it after awhile. i thought I was going to hurl at first.

The food was fine, service was fine. Nothing to write home about but not horrible, either. We'd eat there again if in a bind - we got in without a wait and it was close to our hotel =)

Just my opinion, but stay away from the Big River Grill! There are so many special places to eat at WDW and this is just not one of them. Our food was mediocre at best and the service was absolutely inexcusable.

Another NO vote for Big River. Not a Disney restaurant in any way, shape, or form, except for their high prices. Inside needs a good cleaning and updating. Far too many good places to eat in the Epcot resort area to waste any time and money at Big River.

We just went on Saturday for lunch and had a terrific time.

We shared the beer cheese soup and the honey dijon chicken sandwich, and I had a stout and the red ale. The food was fantastic, great grill flavor in the chicken and the meat itself was very moist. The soup was very cheesy, and both items were sized large enough that we were stuffed.

I think the thing that impressed me the most was the beer, however. The stout was off of a cask and served at the correct temperature, around 55-60F. It was a great, complex stout with a lot of coffee and chocolate flavors. And the red ale was much better than any "red ale" I've had at other American type restaurants. It had a great bitter note to it, and was actually a red ale instead of a seemingly red tinted lager.

Service was great, as well - prompt, always had refills, and when a bug fell in my beer (sat outside), our server brought me a new one very quickly.

Anyway, FH and I really enjoyed this restaurant and we're glad we finally went. We'll be going back as soon as we can.

Are you sure you aren't talking about espn restaurant..now that place does smell horrid and the food is enough to make a person sick.

I've eaten there twice and both times it was good. We enjoyed it because we had seats outside.

The food was good, not great but good, I'd definetly eat there again. The beer was also good. Our service was excellent both times we went.

My DH likes to get the sampler or at least try a few and he's liked a lot of them.

I'm surprised its so hit or missed based on the reviews here since we never experienced it.

We ate there in Sept and was very disappointed. Food was below average at best and the service was poor. What really killed it was the swarm of gnats flying around the light above our table. The only plus was the beer was outstanding.
