So tell me is it good? The meatloaf sounds pretty good.

We ate here once... we didn't have dinner plans and we had a 2.5 y.o. with us (some friends joined us at the last minute with their ds). We had a great time and food was really good. none of us had the meatloaf, though!

imo, average, at best

believe it says something that's it's one of the few BW sites we've been able to get a table with a short wait when we don't have ADRs.

you def need to like the smell of beer and not mind being very close to the other tables or mind sitting outside while the peeps on the boardwalk gawk as you eat.

We love Big River - it's a tradition to have lunch there every trip! We are simple eater, so the familiar American menu is appealing to us. We like to sit outside looking over the Epcot resorts. We don't drink, and we've never been bothered by the smell of beer (which I hate and am sensitive to, but I've never noticed it here). When we've been there at lunch time, it's been more of a family crowd, usually people who have just arrived at the Boardwalk. We've always had excellent service, too.

We tryed to get an ADR for last Sept. 07,when we called they said they don't take ADR's . Don't know if that is still true but maybe that is why people can get a walkup table easily?

The meatloaf used to ROCK. Key words there being 'used to'. Last visit, it tasted like a rock. The food, and to a lesser extent the service, have declined steadily in the last 4-5 years. We would still go for a beer and a burger, if we were pressed for time and didn't have an ADR elsewhere, but we would not make a special trip to eat there again.

p.s. The beer smell is okay from outside, Once trapped inside with it, it just plain reaks. Rotting grain smell, I guess.
