big river brewing works

Big River Grille is located on the Boardwalk, on the Jellyrolls side.
We ate there in November. The food was better than on our past visits, with the ribs being excellent this time. Alot of people go there for the house brews, which are pretty good also. We would go back again.
They have outside seating, which is nice when the weather is good.

Hope that helps.

Hubby and I love Big River. The food has always been good and the microbrews are quite nice also.

Great place for lunch or dinner, wide variety menu, moderate pricing.

If it is a nice day, sit outside and people watch.

I would compare it to a Chili's or Fridays. Decent food and decent service

My DH and I like to come here for lunch the day we check in while waiting for our hotel room to be available if we're staying at one of the Epcot resorts. We love the food, and the beer, (try the sampler) and really enjoy sitting outside watching all the activity on the boardwalk. We found the service to be great, the food to be good and the location excellent. Highly recommended for a laid back lunch.

For us we will not go again. :wizard:

Had lunch there about 3 weeks ago for the first time. Salads, burgers and sandwiches were all very good.

I guess I am the only one who does not like Big River. My DS and I had lunch there back in June. The inside was not up to Disney standards, which makes sense because it is not a Disney restaurant. However the prices were kind of high for a non-Disney place. There was a slight musty smell inside and it could have been a lot cleaner. The food was pretty good, but there was a fly inside constantly buzzing us and our food. They only have single doors to the outside so insects can get in very easily. Someone mentioned it is kind of like Chili's. I guess this is a good way to describe the food offerings. When I am on vacation at WDW I want to eat good food that I normally cannot get at home. We have Chili's and Bennigans, etc. all over so I don't want it at WDW.

With so many great places to eat in the Epcot resort area I would not recommend Big River.

We have eaten there before and would probably go again. It isn't one of our favorite places to eat so we wouldn't make a special trip to go there. We thought the prices were a little high for what you got but then again Disney prices are a little higher.

We thought it was ok.....did not do it this past visit, they do not take the Disney Dining Experience card....I also thought it was rather noisey.....

My DH and I have enjoyed sitting outside and watching the Boardwalk while enjoying one of their beers. The one I like best is either a copper or a red, can't remember. The food is not bad if you stick to basics. DH usually gets a burger (grudgingly, since they won't cook them less than medium--not their fault, I think it is a state law), and I am fine with their salads. If you sit outside, it is a relaxing place for lunch if you need a break from the parks, or if you are staying at an Epcot resort. Just beware of the marauding seagulls!

I think we got lucky because they did take our Disney Dining card. We were there in the Spring of last year.

Nope, not a state law, just them covering their butts. The company that owns Big River also owns three places here in Jax. They bought the Jax locations from the founders. While the restaurants decreased in quality once Big River bought them, they will still cook a burger to your liking.
