Hello~ I am trying to decide what to do for a stroller for Disney. I need your expert mothering help!! :-) DD will be 23 months and our current Graco is tired! So I am looking to buy a new stroller. I LOVE the Graco Quattro as it seems like the cadillac of strollers, though I know it is huge! I have received recomendations for the Macleran Triumph. Do you have any thoughts on this?? Thank you !!!!!

I would say that the smallest, most lightweight stroller that still has a reclining seat is probably your best bet. The smaller the stroller, the easier it will be to maneuver and carry on and off busses, etc. I also found that one-hand folding is key. When DS was 2, we rented a stroller at WDW, which was nice, except that hey all look alike and can be tough to spot in a crowd. When DD was 2, we just brought a small umbrella stroller, which was much easier to maneuver and fold up to bring on busses, etc, but DD would have napped a bit easier if we had brought something with a reclining seat. Check out the Graco literider. It is lightweight, folds fairly small and has a reclining seat and small basket underneath...much cheaper than the Maclaren, too.

After reading about the Maclaren Triumph on this board, I bought one for DD(4) b/c it goes up to 55lbs. This was the best decision I could have made for our trip. It was lightweight, folds up nice like an umbrella, easy to push, reclines so DD could sleep. Nice shade canopy too. The only drawbacks were the basket underneath was pretty hard to get to and small. Also, no cupholders. So, I bought the Maclaren universal organizer which hangs on the back that has storage & 2 cupholders. The only word of caution is if you load this up, the stroller will tip over with no kid in it. I read some people putting ankle weights on the front. We did not do this, we just threw our backpack on the seat if DD was not in it or parked it backwards leaning against someone. Also, I bought a 2006 model on-line for $119 with free shipping and no sales tax. Much cheaper then the 2007 models! Hope this helps! :thumbsup2

For the patks- umbrella strollers are the easiest. On and off busses etc. makes it very easy. They also standout against the sea of rented strollers.

I just bought this Chicco Capri stroller from Babies R Us for $59

We haven't taken it to Disney (yet) but so far I love it. I have pretty much ditched my big cluncky stroller. It reclines enough for her to sleep, folds up umbrella style and has a good canopy. I wish the handles were just a little taller, but it's much better than any cheapo umbrella stroller.

I can't say enough good things about the Maclaren triumph. It is great because it is a stroller that you can use for quite a bit of time with bigger kids. I too bought the universal holder for the back and I love that you can put sippy cups and such there. If you make it too heavy, it will tip so just be aware of that when getting baby in and out. I have weights for the front- when I use the stroller at home but i don't travel with them. As for the Graco- that thing is huge and cumbersome (IMO) and I don't love the way it is constructed.

We have that same stroller for our 2yo. We havent taken it to Disney either, but it works great while out shopping!!
