I subscribed to this thread since I can't get the Disney site at work because I'm sure someone will come on here and mention what the "Big News" is.

I think it has something to do with the castle suite. Maybe they will announce you can book a 1 night stay there in 2008?

I don't think it has anything to do with the cruise line or hotels. It says disneyparks.com

Part of me is excited, but the other part of me doesn't want to over hype this because I don't want to be disapointed. I don't want to complain about Disney because I did get the 40% off pin code, but it would be like them to announce something like and really not be anything.

I counter now reads 39 minutes, but that would be 10am and it says that the news is at 1pm est.

I'm guessing that they announce the next winner for staying in the castle.

The clock jumps around every time I open the window.... Man, never have I've never seen a website that is so well designed graphically, but "blows" so bad in terms of functionality!!!

Here is a little more info I got off of another popular Disney discussion board where one of their members is attending some week long event there. Here is what it says about today...

"After two days of world premiers, official dedications and sneak peeks; Disney tops off their 3 day event with a "What's New, What's Next" presentation by executives from Walt Disney World, Walt Disney Imagineering and The Walt Disney Company. The announcement will showcase exciting new attractions, products, services and technologies coming soon to Disney’s theme parks and resorts. The final event of the day is a tour of the Cinderella Castle Suite."


The dedication and sneak peeks they refer to are the official opening of "The Seas with Nemo and Friends" and the sneak peak at the Monster's Inc. attraction.

The clock says 35 minutes for me, which would put the announcement at 10:05 AM. (I'm in DC). I think the timer may be off? Right underneath it, it still says the announcement is at 1pm. I didn't know they put something about a new park in the annual report!!! Does anyone have a link to it where I can read it?

Also, I hope it's discounts on the tickets b/c we just booked our March hotel and plane tickets yesterday!!

My countdown was like yours and then I refreshed my page. When I refreshed, the countdown went back to over 1 hour. Everytime I refresh, it starts recounting.
