Big mistakes made by SIL

The funny thing is DW, DD and I went to Disneyland about a year and a half ago and managed to do most of what you said your SIL didn't - AND I had yet to visit this board. :D We also didn't have an agenda, but had a great time, got a few character pics and got on as many rides as DD could get on at age 20mo. :)

The minute I hear ANYONE is going to Disney, I want to tell them everything I know....but sometimes people look at me crazy like, why do I need to know all this stuff? Oh well!

I know what you mean I do this all the time, sometimes people are amazed about what I know, I tell them to join the dis and the DIBB which is a british website full of info from a british point of view, sometime they look at me as though i have escaped the asylum !!!

Its their loss!!!

Sounds like what happened to my husband's ex and their kids. She inherited some money and decided to take the kids to Disney for 4 days, 3 weeks after she got the money! No planning..just went. Stayed off property. The kids were 10 and 16 and they came back hating Disney! They only rode about 10 rides in the 4 days there. The trip cost about $2500 for the 3 of them. Now whenever anyone mentions Disney they make a face and never want to go back again. How sad is that?

That is like my SIL. She and DH were going to take the kids all over Florida for 10 days last year to visit relatives. They were only going to do one day at WDW so the kids could "say they have been there." Oh, I forgot to mention they were going to go to MK on either Christmas Day or the day after! :rotfl2: I was actually happy when they cancelled because I knew I would never hear the end of how much they would have hated it!

These are the same people who think camping in a tent for a week is relaxing or maybe the kind who prefer a trip to the beach(not Blizzard or Caribbean:lmao:).

As much as we love Disney there are other things we love equally as much.

One of our best vacations was a camping trip DH and I took-two weeks in a campground with maybe three other couples in the whole campground. Yes, it was relaxing, the weather was beautiful, the fall colors were gorgeous.

Like the beaches also, especially in the Caribbean (Islands, not the resort). Same with the mountains-Canadian Rockies are breathtaking.

We're cruising to Hawaii next month.

Hard to believe, but there is more to life than Disney.
