By the looks on everyone's face at the awards...I am sure they have nothing to do with Roman and the UEB

I just watched the finale last night! WOW! What a great episode!

I wonder what the girl from the store (sorry, I forget her name) was planning on doing at the ceremony? She seemed surprised that Barb was taken out, so I don't think she's tied in with Roman.

What is up with Wanda, huh? She's psycho!!!

I love this show. Can't wait for it's return!

Finally sat an watched the season finale last night! Wow!! I'm going to miss this show until it returns...

Nikki looked great without her prairie garb...Wanda is a nut case...Bill's mom cracks me up!

I almost wonder if they made it too obvious that it was Roman who outed them. I can't wait to see how the writers get them out of this mess...

Don't be so sure it was Roman who outed them. In his phone call, he stated that he wanted to talk to someone about the event that happened. He didn't specifically state what event. The event could be a news report about Albie turning up in the hospital under a fictitious name, could be about the UEB meeting, could be about the guy that Bill bought out for his seat on the UEB. Does NOT have to be about Barb!!!

Think about it ... they made us think that it was Roman who was poisoning Bill's Dad w/the pitcher of iced tea and it turned out that it was Wanda who was doing it (that was a shocker!). And, remember most people thought that Sarah gave Rhonda the I-Pod, but Rhonda actually stole it from Sarah!!! They didn't make it crystal clear that Rhonda stole it ... but they didn't say that Sarah gave it to her, either. We had to wait quite a few episodes for clarity on that. And, we had to wait since episode 1 to find out that Roman wasn't poisoning Bill's dad. Who'da thought!?

I think that it was the neighbor who outed them. Why else would he be standing on the porch, watching to see what happened when they came home!? I mean, it's not like it was exposed on television or the newspaper.
Remember, at the awards ceremony when Barb admitted being plural, the First Lady said "What should we say?" and the guy said "Anything but the truth." Therefore, it's highly doubtful that the media is onto this. So, what would possess the neighbor to be standing on his porch watching them then!? Plus, the neighbor was onto "the braid" being plural ... so he must've called in on the entire family, figuring w/Margene breaking up w/his wife, that she was part of it, too.

Now, I could be totally wrong ... but I wouldn't be so fast to nail Roman! They've been tricky w/us thus far!

Oooh -- did anyone find it odd that Nicki and Margene were talking about/speculating something to the effect of what they'd be doing if they weren't married to Bill? They were in the Mexican restaurant, and Margene said something like she'd be working at a friend's store behind the counter and Nicki said she'd be at the compound. Did anyone else catch that!?!?

I didn't think it was her, she seemed just as puzzled or surprised as everybody else to see Barb be escorted out of the ceremony. My guess was Wendy was preparing to out them during the ceremony.

I also think it's too easy to turn to Roman, but the Rhonda connection is pretty strong. She has a vindictive character, so she probably put an appropriate amount of pressure for that phone call just at the right time.

See, I really don't think Rhonda is going to burn any bridges w/Barb or that family b/c that is her only tie to the "outside world". If she decides to leave Roman, then she can turn to Bill's family to help her out.

What good will it do Rhonda to squeal on Barb? If she's found out by Barb & family, her chances of ever escaping the compound and turning to them for help will be shot.

Yes, I think Rhonda is up to something. But, I think it has to do for her personal gain and not for crushing Bill's family. After all, Barb did say that she'd continue to work on getting Rhonda out of the compound for the remainder of the year. I think Rhonda has high hopes of getting out of the compound and running off to NYC and she knows she can't do it w/o Barb & family helping her. Rhonda's smart ... I don't think she'd blow any chance of getting out of there.

This makes a lot of sense. I wouldn't think he would want to unnecessarily draw extra attention to himself and his compound since his daughter is one of Bill's wives.

I don't know what Rhonda is up to but she seems like pure evil!

What, truthfully, happens to polygamists who are outed? With the exception of William Jeffs who is accused of molesting children, etc., how many are actually prosecuted? Maybe in PA we just don't hear about it and it's actually more prevelant in UT, but I find it hard to believe.

I'd guess that being outed would really mean that they would be shunned in the community. But, I have another question. Are Mormons in UT so strict in their beliefs that they'd stop shopping at his store? Would it mean that the business would be sold or that he just wouldn't be able to open additional stores?

Daxx, you seem to be right on the money with your observations. I guess we'll see if you're right next season.

I doubt they'd be prosecuted or they wouldn't have just dumped Barb at the back door of the governor's mansion. But if it gets out publically the business will nose-dive. I think Mormans are very sensitive about the polygamy issue and there's no way they'd shop at Home Plus anymore.

I also don't think it was Rhonda/Roman who outed them. The neighbors sounds like a good guess- especially after Margie dumped the wife as a friend. I think Wendy was as shocked as anyone else at the ceremony.

Dh and I both said the same thing. Has Bill really broken the law? He only married Barb. Nikki and Margeen aren't legally his wives.

I came up w/a great theory on the whole "Roman making the phone call and Rhonda smirking" thing. What would make Rhonda most happiest?? To be in that acting competition, right!?

What if Roman were making the phone call to the chairperson or head of the acting competition w/a bribe to get Rhonda back into the competition!?!?!

I think getting back into the competition would have her smirking and far more happier than getting Barb in trouble!

Thoughts on that one!??!

And, as another poster pointed out, why would Roman want anything bad to happen to Nicki!?

Years ago, I knew a man who was legally married to 1 woman and they had a room mate that it was widely known the husband also was intimate with. He would refer to her as his wife and it seemed to work for the 3 of them. They figured since it was all consensual and he had never tried to legally marry her that it wasn't bigamy or polygamy. I have to say, in a situation such as Bill's, where everyone consents and is of age, what's the real harm???

I think I can top it all...

My DH's father had another family across town...married to both women...both knew about each other...DH's mom moved to another state...DH's dad, wife and their son followed...never divorced DH's mom..lived with 2nd wife till he died.
