Rhonda is too young to think like that...She is striking back for being betrayed...she is only 15..she doesn't think that far ahead...
Oh, you're not giving teenagers much credit, are you? I know some pretty sophisticated teens and Rhonda seems like she knows more than she should and knows how to play Roman!! Anyway, she wasn't betrayed b/c Barb insisted that she would help to get her back for the rest of the year and that it would take time. It's not like Barb told her all bets were off. And, obviously, Rhonda does think "that far ahead" b/c when she was talking to Sarah and her friend, she stated that she would go off to NYC and live in a dorm w/other girls, blah blah blah" ... sounds like she's thinking ahead there, whether or not she won the competition. To me, she had a clear train of thought on what she wanted to do and it didn't sound like it included a marriage to Roman!

I think Roman said "about the event tonight"
And, how do we not know that there wasn't going to be some kind of acting competition that evening!? I mean, they love to toss in little zingers -- like Wanda poisoning Bill's father but making it look like Roman did it. That event could have been a number of things. And, just b/c the phone call was placed before they showed the Mother of the Year event doesn't mean that call was made specific to that event. We assume that it was b/c they showed the Mother of the Year event right after they showed Roman on the phone. I think they *want* us to think the "obvious" and will "shock" us w/the phone call being something entirely different. For all we know, Roman could be hiring a hit on Bill or something else!

and Roman doesn't care about Nikki...she was a pawn for Roman to get into bed with Bill....excuse the pun
Sorry, but I have to disagree w/you on that! If he didn't care about Nicki, he wouldn't be giving her money to pay off her credit card bills. Obviously, his "caring" is more of a "needing" in the fact that he needs her (o be his pawn w/Bill. If he didn't care for/need her, he'd tell her to suck it up and deal w/the credit card debt herself.
On a whole different note, one of my co-workers made the point that, in one of the scenes, they panned from the front of Barb's house to the front of Nicki's house with what appeared to be an "across the street using binoculars" type view. I didn't notice it, but when my co-worker mentioned it, I thought "Oh, yeah!" Therefore, it would appear that the neighbor is spying on them. Interesting thought, eh!?
