OK, I caught part of it when I was in CT on business, but just watched the entire first show of season two on Sunday and loved it, just like I loved season one.

It's funny our gay guy friends, Danny and John, were in town for the week and they mentioned they that watched it here and there and I said, "Yeah, it's such a queer family and the writers are gay," they hadn't thought of the first and didn't know the second.

I wonder how many lesbian and gay folk do?

Or, am I missing something? You know, with the raging debate going on over on the CB, where opponents are always scaring up the red herring of polygamous unions, is the GLBT community a little reluctant to get excited about this show?

Or, is it because the reality of most polygamous family units is so desperately difficult for the women and children? (Still, I never let reality get ahead of good entertainment!)

As for the guy having all the fun, I swear to you somewhere in season one I saw two of the wives of Bill's partner, who is also polygamous, playing footsie with each other under the table. I can't wait until they play that one out (and, no, I hadn't been hitting the scotch ... not too hard anyway!!!)

I got rid of my expensive cable when Deadwood went off the air, but you can bet Big Love is on my NetFlix list. I love it!

As for the slippery slope debate, I sincerely wish polygamy were legal. If it were, all married wives would have legal channels through which to deal with the crummy stuff that seems to happen to them so often. For that reason alone I'm all for it, and have no problem saying so.

Good point! :thumbsup2

Them's my peeps!:lmao: After I saw about the third show of the first season, I had to do a MAJOR closet purge to get rid of all my dresses that resembled those of the Juniper Creek sister-wives.

Anybody spot Emmy Lou Harris in last night's episode? I saw her name in the credits and I'm guessing she was in the second singing scene but am not sure.
