Big kids, what do you want for Christmas!!

In the back of my mind, I keep thinking about an Ipad2, but will not buy it for myself, I just got a new laptop this spring and can't justify it.

DH wants a PS3, I am going to see if I can make it happen, but I am not trying too hard, he really doesn't need it. He has a PS2 and a Wii

We don't have children, but I do buy for my cousins that are 13, 9, and 6. This year they are getting pj's and iTunes cards. I usually go way overboard for them but not this year.

I just got my husband a PS3 and put it away for Christmas - they are recently reduced on price, and at Best Buy they have a package that includes a game! It was $299, it came 1 controller and the game "Infamous 2" and it has 320 gb hard drive. OR there is a bundle coming out later this month for the same price (plus the 1 controller) and it will have "Uncharted 3" game. They were $399 without a game, etc. so the price drop was pretty significant. He has a WII, an XBox 360, etc... But he really wants the PS3 so its hidden :)

I am torn... DH is tech-deficient so I know he'll take me shopping and let me pick out my gift, and I have been waffling for months between an iPad or upgrading my dSLR camera body to one of the newer translucent-mirror models.

I'm getting DH some woodworking tools he's been wanting and upgrading his computer because he's disappointed it doesn't run Warcraft very well at high resolution on our new (first flat panel/HD) 42" TV.

New skis
Vespa scooter
Balenciaga weekender carryall in lavender
Plane tickets to Chile so my son and I can go with my husband (he has a business trip coming up there)
A radio that actually gets decent reception in my house
Fluffy new towels

Additional pieces to my Willow Tree Nativity. A Crock-Pot 6qt Smart-Pot. A gift certificate for a pedicure. DH got me a Pandora bracelet for my birthday (which is growing on me ever so slightly) so I guess maybe a new bead for that.

We've had some bills crop up this year, and I really feel like I have everything I need and most of what I want, so it's all good.

The one thing I would wish for is to take our family somewhere for Easter Break. Our dd has lots of medical bills, and the first few months of the year are usually spent trying to hit our deductible. But we usually try to do lots of things close to home, and we're lucky to live in Virginia, where there's a lot to do.

I want a peaceful Christmas. My husband an I were both unemployeed last year at Christmas. We lost our home in Feb an now we have made a complete turn around wih a lovely home and great jobs. So all i want this Christmas is to enjoy each other and our family.

I feel very blessed and thankful this year!!

dh and I are getting an IPAD2. Then we will get each other one other small "surprise" gift for under the tree and stocking stuff.

i take back everything i said earlier. all i want for Christmas (my birthday, valentine's day, easter, 4th of july, etc.) is a job. don't get me wrong, substitute teaching is fun, but i've only done it twice since school started the 2nd week of august, and i need a regular income.

You can make this dream come true yourself! Contact the person who calls the substitutes and tell them that you need more work. Tell them that you would be willing to substitute for associates (aides). Ask if you could sub in other grade levels, for instance if you are elementary you could sub in middle school. Volunteer at the schools you are interested in so you become familiar to everyone and they feel comfortable having you sub in their building.

Dh will be more than likely unemployed - he's done work on 2 weeks, and not much on the horizon yet. We want gift certificates - movies, child-friendly restaurants, children's museum, etc. so we can have some kind of entertainment while he's looking for work!

I got an early Xmas present, an hp touchpad! I love it!!!! DH doesn't want anything, he just had a bone marrow transplant and getting a donor was the BEST present EVER!! But if we had unlimited funds I'd love to buy DH his dream muscle car, 71' cuda convertible but that is a pipe dream.

I don't want anything material. I just want to still be alive and able to actually enjoy my voyage on the Magic next September. Emphasis on the enjoy part.

I've been thinking about this, and I'm having a hard time coming up with anything especially for me. I already have an iPad 1, and I'm happy with the photographic equipment and various electronic gadgets that I currently have. I've wanted a Wacom Bamboo graphics tablet for a couple of years, but I recently received one for free as part of a manufacturer's sampling program. So, that's off my wish list now.

We don't have a nice TV (just the old fashioned kind), so maybe we'll get one of those for the living room as a family gift.

My Christmas wish would be that the Army would send my son-in-law home from Aghanistan to be with my daughter!!
