Sounds like you will need a minimum of 2 rooms if you are staying onsite. I don't know how comfy everyone is with each other... You can use your APH discount for one room and I think you can use AAA for 2 rooms, but from what I understand, the AP holder has to be in the room and the AAA member has to be in one of the 2 rooms, so if you have one and your DH has the other, you can list each of you as being in a different room, but wouldn't have to stay that way. The AAA room(s) would qualify for Loews First perks, but the APH room would not. You would still be able to use Express Check In for the APH room though.

if you want to stay on site at universal, request connecting rooms.
5 to a room is max.
if you book two rooms connecting, your family will be able to stay together.

if you decide to stay off site, there are some nice hotels in the area.
one is listed on robvia's link site. i think it is extended america or something like that. they are large, have bedrooms and kitchen

I forgot to mention that the deluxe rooms at HRH have a sleeper sofa, so they should comfortably accomodate 5.

Thanks guys!:thumbsup2 Will stay at hrh as usual. Was hoping for only 2 rooms but ds and wife want own room!So it will have to be 3 rooms. We always stay club,so maybe book 2 rooms garden and us at club??What do you think!Reserved club last year for 7 nights during renovations and was called at home, asking ,if they guaranteed deluxe would we stay on 6th floor with club benefits as we would have to switch rooms halfway during our stay if we stayed on 7th floor.Took it and man were we spoiled, had tons of room and just had to go up 1 floor.Seemed to be a bit quieter also??Corner room was a plus, was across from janitor closet,I think that is why we never heard much human traffic!!:cool1:

that is great !
did you get a discount on the deluxe on 6th floor?
i would think they would knock the price down since they could not accomodate you for the full time on floor 7.
