Big disappointment in Prime Time

Gees -- that meatloaf picture is very unappetizing. Thanks for posting it. We haven't been to Prime Time Cafe in years and certainly wouldn't go back based on this thread and the photo!

You know I have been to 50's 3 times and all 3 times we just had a boring ho hum server. No antics, nothing. Most of the time we hardly see them.

Such a downer when there are others having a great time and we have yet to expirence it.

Our server Jimmy was great, in October. We had other families in the "kitchen", too, but there were 2 birthdays being celebrated (my own and an elderly lady "Irene") and by the time we left, it was like we were all one big, happy family. Food was pretty good, not gourmet stuff. I had the pot roast, DH had seafood pasta, DS had the fried chicken. We all had appetizers and desserts and left stuffed. The meal was one of the highlights of our trip, but I'll admit the server can make or break the experience.

We've eaten there for the last 5 years and I can only ever remember one slice of meatloaf. That was filling enough. I couldn't imagine getting two.

I've been there a couple of times and never been impressed with the food, but that's not why I go. I go to be told what a good boy I am for cleaning my plate!

You guys have to order the fried chicken- its REALLY good!

I've only been there one time and our server was hysterical, I was laughing from the moment I sat down til we left.

We are going back this May, and honestly I really don't care if the server is in character or not. I liked the food and that's what I'm there for- anything else is a little pixie dust bonus.

Here's my chicken and my bf had the meatloaf- can't tell if its 1 or 2 slices.
