This is the 'Summer of Secrets' wouldn't it be cool for them to throw in an America's Choice for $500,000 similar to what they did on Survivor? After all it WAS possible that they would have had to pay out a Million if a team made it to the end.

Hummmm...who would I vote for to get a 1/2 Million???

Ooh that is a wonderful thought. So far the summer of secrets has been disappointing. It would be great if that was the big secret at the end of the game.

Ivette did the smart thing by bringing Maggie. That Nerdherd group was so close, it was almost cult like. If she took Janelle, Maggie would see to it that Ivette lost for going against the group.

Everyone keeps saying that it's a choice of friendship over family and money, but I don't know that that's always the case. I know if it were me and I made the choice she did, my family would be more proud of me that I kept my word and I didn't act like a total jerk just to get some money. Money isn't everything in this world to most people.

I agree. It's just unfathomable to me that anyone in her family would hold it against her. Money's not worth it at all. I kind of feel sorry for her for having to worry about that.

I understand what you're saying but Ivette went on and on about how badly her family needed the money and how they were all counting on her. Money seemed to matter a great deal to her and her family.

In her interview a few shows ago, Ivette's mother also commented on how she was there to win the money, not make friends.

I'm extremely disappointed that Janie got the boot (ughh!!!) I don't care who wins now. I can't stand Ivette! I don't think she deserves to win. I wish she would've got the boot a long time ago!! Ivette is trying to get sympathy votes using her family needing the money. I'm sure everyone in the group needs the money. If I had to choose, it would be Maggie. I'm really disappointed. The finale is no big deal now !

If mom wants the money let her butt go get it. Personally I can't stand either Ivette or Maggie. Both disgust me. I am sure they will both be in for a big shock as to how many people out of the house really hate them too.

$50,000.00 is nothing to sneeze at. I am certain that none of the HGs would have earned that much over the summer if they were not playing BB. Yes, it is a lot less than $500,000.00, but it is still a lot of money - even after taxes. May the most deserving woman win.

I am so sad 'bout Janie. LOVE the idea about America Choice for the $500,000 in the pot. I sent an email to CBS telling them about this thread and how we all love this idea. Who knows ... maybe we will get our wish!

I think Ivette made a huge mistake. She should have thrown the HOH competition, and
then let Janelle take her. That way Maggie would have gone to the sequester house
and lobbied for her. She would have won. I don't think she'll win now, particularly after
her mean-spirited good-bye message to Rachel.

I think this is what has bothered me all along on this thread. (Flame suite on) I can't fathom in my mind how someone can so strongly hate someone that they don't even know Yes, some of you watch the feeds and you can feel like you know them. But what's wrong with saying you don't like how they act, or the choices they make. To come out and just blatently say you really hate someone is just cruel.

I wasn't that crazy for Janelle but she played a far better game, even if she was nasty at times, she had a huge target on her for almost the entire time and managed to make it to the final three--I think she'll make tons of money from "other" projects--my DH is hoping Playboy does its usual offer to reality show stars
I really couldn't say who I want to win now--Ivette has been truly loyal to her group, even if it costs her the "big" money and Maggie is just so quiet

yes, she went into great detail with maggie about 1 week ago. how her mom will disappear for hours on end. and how she gets up and goes to the casinos, but I think it is mostly bingo. Ivette said if she would add it all up, she has blown thru close to a half a mill. from what it seems, seems like her dad has $$.

Hey, everyone has a right to his/her opinion. I'm not in any way saying that you cannot dislike the way they are playing or how they are acting. I'm saying what bothers me is the absolute cruelty that I have seen from some people saying that they hate them and they wish bad things in their lives for them. I just feel like it's unnecessary.

I agree with you that there's no reason to hate someone or wish bad things for them. It's a TV show and we really don't know how these people act in their day-to-day lives. I don't remember anyone writing that they wished bad things for the NH. I also think that people who say they hate them are using the work hate in a broad sense. I know I'll be forgetting about most of the HG's after this Tuesday (whether I was cheering for them or cringing every time they opened their mouth). I can only speak for myself but I seriously doubt anyone here really hates a HG.

I don't hate them. I just find them to be very hypocritical. I just find them annoying. I don't hate anyone, except people that hurt children.

And like someone else said, after tuesday, I will completely forget about them. I couldn't name 10 people from the last 5 seasons I bet!

What is your "ideal" match-up. I vote for James and Janelle. Those two would have been great at the end. Who would have voted for who?
