BIG BROTHER 17!!! SUMMER 2015!!! Spoilers Welcome!!!

In my inbox today:

Thank you for writing to CBS about BIG BROTHER. The staff at CBS Interactive is aware of the issue you raised and are working to correct it. They have asked me to convey this message:

"We are aware of the issue that may be affecting your ability to vote for America's Favorite Houseguest, and we apologize for the inconvenience. Please know our technicians are working diligently to resolve this matter quickly. In the meantime, please revisit the voting page periodically to submit your vote, once this has been resolved."

Again, we appreciate your taking the time to write and for being participating viewers of BIG BROTHER.

Cordially,

Ray Faiola

So did the voting go down after CBS got enough for votes for who they wanted to win? It really doesn't seem fair now. To give anyone the prize with the voting not working correctly

The voting is meaningless. Allison Grodner awards it to who she wants each year - which was evident the year that one of the most dis-liked HGs - Frank - won fan favorite. Frank happened to be very close to one of her friends.

I've heard these types of accusations but have never seen anything beyond supposition and innuendo. Is there any actual evidence?

I was able to vote yesterday around 3:00pm. I decided to try again and it has been longer than 24 hours. It told me I could only vote once per 24 hours. This is not fair to the players or the voters.

There was tons of evidence of how production manipulated HGs voting and competitions to steer the outcome in a few lawsuits that were filed years ago that people were claiming violated federal laws governing game shows. Big Brother argued successfully that they were scripted entertainment, not a game show, and the "prize" wasn't actually an earned prize but a payment to a cast member.

The voting is also for "entertainment purposes only" and they are under no legal obligation to abide by the outcome. That's also why they don't charge to vote like they do in the UK. If you charged anything, you'd have to honor the result.

If you want to see what Big Brother is really like, check out the UK version. US has fully scripted diary room sessions, UK actually has Big Brother talking to the HGs and the HGs giving their answers. Of course you don't get the cheesy lines you get in the US version.

Soooo...basically it's a poll. BB gets to see what the poll says, then they turn around and do what they want!

I can't see Steve beating Vanessa, but who knows

hummm, I don't know. Steve is very smart and has been counting all the objects in the house. He has a very good memory. Part 3 is always played out live in the final show and has been a q and a session. Van is smart, too. I think it's up in the air who will win part 3.
