I have tempted my niece over to the dark side (mwah-haha, my sister just DOESN't get scrapping:rotfl2: :lmao: ) and obviouslky now she needs tools:rolleyes1 I thought I could get a big bite with my Christmas money (oops! spent it, OK with my birthday money:rolleyes: ) and give her my CAD, but then I wondered if I'd miss my little one. Is the BB unweildy to use? Or is it just the same? I don't go out to crops so portability isn't a problem (but hideability is good;) ) Any ideas?

my mom bought me the big one right before christmas and i have not had a chance to try it out yet. so i'm no help. but i'm interested in what other people say. so i'm jumping on board for an answer!

I thought Susie said the big one wasn't as easy to use and tended to mess up things that werre not as strogn but I only have my little one.

Hi there--I am undecided. I have used both and own the bb. I have problems with it sometimes...it just doesn't give me a nice clean finish like using the CAD. However, I find that I have better control with it and it doesn't take as much strength. I know that probably doesn't help answer the question, but I was just playing with mine tonight and I'm still not totally sold on it...especially for the price (even though I already bought it!).

Thnaks. My hands are not strong - and I sometimes mess up even with the little one . Any more views? (The price is a BIG disincentive - I may just suggest to DNiece she buys her own;) )

I bought mine with a 50% off coupon so the price wasn't bad. I took a tool class at Archivers and they showed us how to use the big bite, which really helped. They said to make sure that you use a very gentle pressure when pushing down. I found that after playing around with it it works just fine. Just remember not to push to hard. Granted I don't have the little one but I like that the big one can reach anywhere on my page. Hope this helps.

I received a Big Bite for Christmas and took it back. It would eat the eyelets and they were very sharp on the back. I tried all combinations of the settings and different eyelets and nothing worked. I took it back and got a silent setter instead and really like it.
