Kunal Nayyar (Raj) just posted on Twitter that CBS will be moving the show to Thursday nights next season at 8:00!

Apparently fans are not happy with this time change.

Has Survivor been cancelled? They have been at that time slot since the beginning. I'm ADDICTED to Vampire Diaries at 8 on Thursday's so I will DVR the BBT, and watch NBC on Demand.

Also, did everyone see the cast on The Early Show this morning? They have amazing chemistry!

I found this:
CBS will move its hit comedy “The Big Bang Theory” to Thursdays starting this fall.
Let the comedy competition on Thursdays begin.
In the boldest scheduling move of the upcoming season, CBS announced Wednesday that it will move its hit comedy “The Big Bang Theory” to Thursdays at 8 p.m. starting this fall.
By moving “Big Bang” out of its Monday time slot, CBS is opening up a new Thursday night of comedy and competing directly with NBC’s established block of sitcoms.
CBS also said “Survivor” is leaving its longtime Thursday home for Wednesdays at 8. The network is placing the new “Hawaii 5-0″ on Mondays at 10. It is also moving two of its three “C.S.I.” programs, with “Miami” going from Mondays to Sundays at 10 and “New York” moving to Fridays at 9.

In explaining the move of “Big Bang,” Nina Tassler, the CBS entertainment president, and Kelly Kahl, its scheduling chief, noted that it has become the No. 1 TV sitcom among young viewers this season.
Ms. Tassler joked that she thought the nerdy characters on “Big Bang” would enjoy being paired with “Bleep My Dad Says,” a new sitcom that stars William Shatner of “Star Trek” fame. “It’s probably a dream come true for them,” she said.
“Bleep My Dad Says” will be shown Thursdays at 8:30 p.m.
In the place of “Big Bang” on Monday, CBS will schedule the new Chuck Lorre comedy, “Mike & Molly,” in the 9:30 p.m. time slot.
With its fall schedule, CBS is showing ample willingness to shake up its schedule in places where it thinks it can add audience share. In explaining the “Survivor” shift to Wednesday, Mr. Kahl acknowledged that CBS has “struggled a bit” in the ratings on Wednesdays, and said the castaway reality show would immediately improve the network’s standing in the time slot.
Shows like “Survivor” and “CSI: Miami” have very loyal viewers, “and the thinking is that they will follow those shows where they go,” Ms. Tassler said.
CBS discussed the schedule at a press conference Wednesday morning hours ahead of its upfront presentation to advertisers. In addition to “Hawaii 5-0,” CBS is adding a family cop drama called “Blue Bloods” and a legal show called “The Defenders.” Ms. Tassler called “The Defenders” “more of a bromance than a conventional legal drama.”

I for one am not happy with the change. Monday and Thursday are really the only times we watch shows. We had the CBS comedies, Chuck, & House all on Monday at 8. We let go of House because we got tired of it. Now on Thursday we watch Community & 30 Rock on NBC and Bones on Fox. We love all these shows and now they're putting BBT on Thursday with them. It makes me want to have a temper tantrum.

I would be suprised if they could get away with 8.
The show is very raunchy.
In fact I was wondering if they would get away with 7P sindication.

I watch with my daughter and it is the one show that I almost watch in advance, my daughter is very responsible and so I let her watch. But I feel they push the limit more than any show.

the show being in syndication doesnt bother me much, its not raunchy, not at all, considering the other shows Two and a half Men, The Office, the Big Bang Theory will do great running daily against them.

I think BBT is a LOT less raunchy then How I Met Your Mother which is on at 8pm.

They show Two & half men here at 6:30 in sindication.

I agree with this. I love HIMYM but I am surprised at what they get away with in the 8:00 slot.

You know, I've noticed that all these shows are quite graphic. Like, on Two and a Half Men when Charlie couldn't "ring Chelsea's bell"... I mean, do you really need to make an entire episode about that?! My kids are still up when that is on, and DH watches it in front of them. Am I getting old?! ;)

I still watch, but sometimes I wonder if they really couldn't think of anything more family friendly. Has it all been done before? Are they out of ideas so they go for raunch? I dunno.

OK, off my soapbox and back on topic....:rolleyes1

Jim Parsons went to the same high school my ds just graduated from Klein Oak High last year and my dd will be starting there in a year. I was shocked when I found out and so cool that he lived in our area Spring,Tx.:banana:

I will not let my 11 year old son watch Two and a Half Men. It is very ranchy.

I think it has all been done before. And since we've seen it all, they have to come up with more and more ways to shock us. It's all about pushing the envelope.

I totally agree with you about Two and a Half Men. We quit watching it about a month ago...smut humor just doesn't do it for me...and Two and a Half Men has become nothing but smut.

I think that is why I like BBT....it is really tame compared to some of the other shows.

We watch all those shows here!! :) I have a 12 year old that watches Two and a Half Men with us and it doesn't bother me...I am sure he hears worse stuff at school!

Anyway...did you al watch BBT finale tonight? :)
