Big Apple Circus- yay or nay?

The Big Apple Circus is in town until next Sunday. We're debating about taking our 18mo DS to it, but we can't find any reviews other than newspaper reviews. Is it worth it? What do they do? Do you think my DS would enjoy it? The tickets are still $70 with a discount code for two people (DS gets in for free since he'll sit on our lap). Should we go ahead and get tickets or should we save our money for next year when Ringling Bros. is back in town? Just wanted to see if anybody else had ever been. Thanks for any info!

I give it a big Yay! totally fun and the kids loved it. we went 2 years ago, the kids ages 6 and 3 and they totally loved it, lots of fun clown antics, and cute dogs, nothing scary, all funny, lots of acrobatics too.
we had the expensive seats too, the ringside, you could see everything.
i just got a discount code for it , i always get the card in the mail , its usually up here in the spring.
the most expensive seats are I think $43 with the discount during the week.
that boston though.

For a young child, I'd definitely suggest Big Apple over Ringling Brothers!

We just went last weekend here in GA. It was soooo much nicer to have a 1 ring circus--every seat is very close. We had our 2.5 year old on our lap, but actually there was an empty seat next to us as it turned out.

Honestly, I think this was just right, a bigger circus would have been too scary for him.

A word of warning....the animals come out RIGHT after intermission. Unfortunately we missed 1/2 of the horse show and had to watch the other half farther away b/c we could not get back to our seats (gotta love potty training!).

We got our tickets with a discount code for $44 for 2 ringside tickets (plus some internet charge, I'm sure). I don't know if I would pay $70. Also, bring snacks! They are Disney-priced there...cotton candy was $4!

Off topic, but I love the fact that they only have horses and rescue dogs...no mistreatment of animals. And they are not for profit!
